The property was very clean, comfy beds, great shower pressure and most importantly the owner was very responsive and helpful! Having coffee there was a life saver and the snacks are much appreciated too as we were coming from a cruise ship in Seward and arrived later in the evening! The check in process was seamless!

This was a great place to land after flying from the east coast of Canada. We were happy for the comfortable beds and good towels! The unit is situated a short drive from food supplies at Walmart Supercenter and bear spray at the incredible Bass Pro Shop (an unexpected attraction!!) the Alaska Native Heritage Center. It is also an easy drive downtown.

This basement apartment was clean, comfortable, and had some nice touches and amenities. As other reviews mention, it is a bit dated and parts of the neighborhood are a little run down.

Owner waits until day of check in to share door code which is unique in my vast experience. That leaves the renter with little recourse should the owner be incapacitated for any reason. The minor bedroom is tiny as is the shower. Amazing view. Bed in major bedroom sinks in the middle and my wife and I found ourselves on top of one another frequently, unfortunately not by choice.

I feel a little let down by the listing and the many 5 star reviews. The place feels a little run down, location was fine. The curtains in the bedrooms were sheer and let in lots of light, making it hard to sleep. We were on the first floor of a multi-unit building (which was not mentioned in the listing) and whoever was above us stomped around with elephant feet all until after midnight each night, waking us up over and over. The shower head is comically low. I’m 5’8” and had to squat to take a shower. We did a small load of laundry and had to run the drier cycle 3 times before our clothes were no longer damp. I could go on. Less than great overall.

We really enjoyed our stay. This house was perfect for what we needed. It is very well stocked and clean. The owner was super nice. They provided a bunch of info about the area. We would stay here again!

Property was easy to find, Jessica was always available with questions and we were given all of the access info before checkin. Beds were very comfortable and easy access to shopping, the base and activities. I would definitely stay again!!

Great apartment. Clean and cozy. The owners even left snacks and water. It was perfect for a family of 4. Location was close enough to both eagle river and downtown anchorage, so nothing felt too far away.

Great location and only about 8miles from downtown. The beds were comfortable and the shower felt amazing. Would definitely recommend.

This was our first trip to Alaska and this property was a perfect place to feel at home for the last part of our trip. Easy access to everywhere we went, great communication from the hosts and some nice personal touches to make us feel at home and welcome. We will definitely look to stay here again on our next trip to Anchorage!

It was great having a pack and play and portable high chair and toys available for use. There were lots of toddler hazards though that were hard to manage. Open shelves, loose chain blocking fireplace, uncovered outlets, and chemicals in lower cupboards. Overall great stay, just hard to be in the house for long periods of time without the one year old getting into something. That’s to be expected most places though, it’s what we signed up for as parents. Would definitely recommend this VRBO, very clean and well stocked. Just keep those things in mind if traveling with kids.

Perfect little getaway!
We are sorry we didn’t book for longer as we didn’t get to take full advantage of the apartment, but it was just perfect! We were greeted with a personal message and treats in the kitchen which my daughter fully appreciated after a reallly long hard travel day. Beds were sooo comfortable and the hosts were super friendly in all our contacts!! Would definitely return!

Great alternative to hotels
The owner thought of everything. This was a very comfortable stay. Easy access to property and Anchorage area. The only thing I would comment about is that the address was not on the property that I could see.

Great place to stay and will likely stay here again, very welcoming and had all kinds of great conveniences and supplies in the apartment. My only disappointment is there is clearly a fireplace in the pictures and I try to rent properties with a fireplace and it was totally inoperable. Seems like a missed opportunity to put in a gas or even electric insert. Otherwise great property!

Winter visit
Our family had a good stay in February. The house was warm and the beds were comfortable. Water pressure in the shower was excellent. The nearby park provided a place to walk and play. Neighborhood roads and driveway were icy but we were able to get around in a minivan.

Good place to stay in Anchorage
Close to everything you need and had many of the comforts of home. Nicely decorated and well-stocked with towels, pillows, blankets. The flooring in the apartment and the place above are a bit creaky so movement and noises carry easily throughout. We appreciated the quick, friendly responses from the owner. Lots of scent plug-ins throughout the apartment which we unplugged due to sensitivity. Thank you for a nice stay.
