Excellent location and accommodations for our family vacation. Unit was very clean and had decent quality furniture throughout. The kids loved the bunk beds! Lots of towels and beach toys are available for use. Kitchen has all the dishes etc you need for preparing meals and a dish washer. There is a washer and dryer in the unit for laundry as well. Patio has a BBQ, dining table and some comfortable chairs / love seat as well as a fire table for hanging out after the kids are down for the night. Area is quieter than north Mission or Pacific beach. Beach was awesome and extremely short walk. Went down for sunset most days and to watch the surfers. There is a good Mexican food place, small market, and liquor store within 2 blocks and larger grocercy stores etc are only a short drive away. The hosts were very responsive to anything we needed. The only minor annoyance was you are right under the flight path of the airport. Not loud enough to be a big disturbance inside but you notice it on the patio for sure. Our kids were thrilled to see all the planes so it was probably a positive to them.

The house is old but quaint and has all of the necessary amenities. It is really close to the beach as advertised. It is a short distance to some of the major attractions in San Diego!

We stayed here for three days. My son just came back from a six-month Navy tour. It was a beautiful home and we enjoyed it very much.

Perfect! Our daughter graduated from MCRD. This property is only minutes away from there and the airport. We are 8 when we are all together, it was a little cozy inside with all of us inside, but we were all comfortable sleeping and 2bathrooms

The owners are SO extremely kind! We loved staying steps from the beach and the park! Everything was wonderful! Couldn’t recommend this more for my little family.

Nice comfortable place. There were 4 of us visiting and we were able to walk to dinners and drinks out. The beach is right down the walkway. The hosts very quick to respond to questions and were very friendly. We would stay here again.

My sister and I took our girls for a concert in San Diego. This is our second time staying here. Great location!

This is one of the best VRBOs we have ever stayed in . The location was amazing , a few houses from the beach and the house was clean , comfortable and the bunk beds were perfect for kids. Great place !

It was a very good stay; overall, I was very happy with the property. The location is great. There are plenty of beach toys to use. The patio is very nice. The short walk to the beach is really easy straight down the path. The GPS seems to want to take you past the drivable alley to the walking path, so double-check; if you can't turn down the street, you may have gone past it. Also, it seemed to happen when we ordered some food. The delivery person came past the street to the walking path side of the address.

Wonderful place for a San Diego family vacation!

We had the opportunity to come to San Diego and attend my nephew/son’s Family Day & Graduation from the Marines. This location & property was PERFECT!! We got to see the sunset together from the beach & share how grateful we were to be together. We had EVERYTHING we needed in the house to truly feel as if we were home. There was so much around us to keep us entertained, we were not far at all from the Marine Corp Recruit Depot. Given the chance, will definitely want to come back. Sharon replied promptly anytime I notified her of anything or had questions during and prior to our visit. It was the BEST experience ever! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND staying here!! I only wish we had more time to have stayed longer.

Pros: Location Price for what you get Number of beds Outdoor space and patio Good quality linens Provided beach accessories: Chairs, toys, boards, etc. Fans for airflow Cons: Bathrooms need work. When trying to just use the bath the shower head still sprays water. Alternatively, the bath faucets don't stop flowing while just trying to use the shower. Slow draining. King size beds were lumpy and a bit uncomfortable as a result. Headboards are not attached so anytime you would move it would clunk into the wall.

My family of 6 stayed at this property for 3 nights. The location was great. Close to beach and walking distance to attractions and restaurants. The house was not the cleanest as I found hair on bed sheets and In drawers. The plumbing also needs some attention as both bath tubs back up and do not drain good. The property is a duplex and the unit is the bottom unit. The unit above had guests that were loud and had children that sounded like they were running and jumping late at night and we were woken up by them early in the morning. Also the surrounding properties are very close, so the neighbors were also loud and there were multiple gatherings around us. I would not stay at this property again, only because of the noise.

I have all positive things to say about our time here…from the outdoor patio area, the location, a well stocked kitchen and the quick response from the home owner.

Loved the quick walk to Belmont and the beach! House was clean and perfect for my husband, 6 y.o. stepdaughter, my mother and me. Lock box was finicky but got it open after a few tries! Obly big downfall was regarding the neighbors in the unit above us; they took our parking spot (they had a car in the garage as well) and asked us to park in the garage next to their 2nd car. It was too tight a fit so we had to use the roads. Otherwise, loved the house!

We had two family’s here and it was perfect! Distance to the beach and Belmont were exactly what we needed! I did message on day 1 or 2 of our stay about the fridge and never heard back but we made it work!

It was my 3 year old's first time to the ocean. We wanted a location that was easily walkable for little legs, but we didn't necessarily need all the fancy frills that comes with close to the ocean properties. This place was great. The price was fair for the accommodations and the property was as advertised. It is older, but clean and comfortable. The parking space easily fit our 4-Runner. We could even open all 4 doors when parked! The outdoor space was very relaxing. We ate most meals at the table and watched the world go by. We used the fire table in the evening, which was super fun for the kids. The neighborhood was quiet and there were many families walking around. There is a market, coffee and some food options a short (4 minute) walk away. We loved Sara's Mexican food and Capri and brought their food home multiple times! Belmont Park is lots of fun and has other food options in and around it. It was about a 10 minute walk but again, my 3 year old was able to walk it multiple times and had no problem doing so...we could have left the stroller at home. The walk to the ocean really is super close and it was very convenient for us to run back when something was forgotten or needed. The owners were awesome. They quickly answered any questions that I had before the trip. They sent an email on our first full day to check in and make sure that everything was good. We're already dreaming of a return trip!

Location is perfect for family beach vacation. Much appreciated the on-site parking. Beach, food, groceries, coffee a very short walk. The bunk bed cave was perfect for our four year old grandson. Lots of beach toys available to use. Generous outside patio space, which was great for any/all meals. We did hear foot steps, etc from upstairs rental unit, but did not find that bothersome. We had a great stay and would recommend.

Everything was perfect. The place was exactly as advertised. The single story was perfect for my parents in their 80s. The patio was even better than advertised. We had everything we needed. The beach was so close, yet the place was quiet enough that we could even hear the waves. I have already shared this place with friends to book for their families.

The home was decorated beautifully with its beach theme. We loved it! The home is just a hop, skip, and a jump to the beach…just a few steps away. Everything we wanted or needed was close by to walk to or a short drive away. We spent our time at the beach, Belmont Park, and hanging out with other family members at their beach rental in the same neighborhood. We would stay here again. ♥️

I cannot say enough great things about our stay at this beach house. It was cozy, comfortable and well decorated. It had all the amenities of home including linens, towels and kitchen utensils. It is so close to the beach without being in a high traffic area.

We really enjoyed our stay. Kids especially loved the short walk to the beach and the rental was in walking distance to everything we needed. Everyone slept comfortably and there was enough space and ammenities for a family of 8. There were also a ton of beach toys and accessories (total bonus)!

Perfect for our needs. The individual TVs on the bunk beds, genius! My 10 year old and my 8 year old enjoyed them completely. The two bathrooms allowed for quick prep time.? We were all able to shower each morning without tripping on each other. Enjoy the beach on every day of our stay. It was so relaxing to stay this close to the beach.

This is the perfect house for families with kids! There’s so many great sand toys, a 1/2 block to the beach, large patio to enjoy, and the bunk beds are so fun!! Very enjoyable stay! Thank you!

Just steps from the beach and plenty of space for everyone. Cute little walk up restaurants were less that 4 minutes away. Extra towels were appreciated!

Had a great time. Close to most everything we wanted. House is small, like the rest in the area. But it accommodated 2 couples, two young kids and two babies quite well. Host was good to work with. Had a good time.👍
