We have been to Hawaii many times and this is our all time favorite place we have stayed. It was perfect with our 2 year old grandson being able to play easily or wade in the water with his family. Having the living quarters separated from the bedrooms also made for a mixed family gathering that we weren’t bothering anyone if we kept different hours. No AC, but they provide plenty of fans. We will definitely be coming back. I’m missing the sound of the breaking waves as I type this.

Wonderful sunsets, setting, fully furnished home.

Four friends from Molokai decided to hop on a plane and take an interisland vacation and we couldn’t have asked for a better home, location, or property management. Truly a beautiful place, incredibly comfortable casual and relaxing. Everyone had their own space (bedrooms and bathrooms) and the common area was perfect (large kitchen, dining, covered lanai and living room). We spent 5 nights and no one wanted to go home. Puako is a very special and unique neighborhood. It’s a throw back to a quieter Hawaii time and should be savored. Thank you Gregg for managing such a lovely property. We all truly appreciated it!

Amazing week vacation in paradise!! Beautiful home with million dollar view. We had a wonderful time enjoying sunsets and spending time with friends and family. Gregg was a fantastic host and very responsive. We didn’t want to leave!! Highly recommend. Thank you!

If you want a comfy Hawaiian cottage with lots of room to relax and enjoy the beautiful sunsets, this is your spot.

I unfortunately had to cancel as I got sick at the last minute. However, my daughter and family still went. They absolutely LOVED it. Said it was perfect. Couldn’t have been improved upon. Greg, the Manager, was responsive and helpful. They went out one night and the 17 year old son said (why are we here when we could be on our own wonderful lanai with a view.” Hopefully I can rent again and be able to enjoy the place myself.

There are few things better than watching a sunset on a private-feeling beach, unless of course you add a plethora of green sea turtles swimming around and sunning themselves right nearby. A magical home with a spectacular view and snorkeling right outside!

We enjoyed an amazing week in Puako at this lovely home. The layout was great- lots of privacy for our three teens, but a beautiful main gathering space for us to enjoy dinners, movies, and games (and lots of beautiful sunsets!) Watching the waves every morning and night was so relaxing and blissful. We have fallen in love with the Big Island and can't wait to be back!

Beautiful location. Hot in the afternoons when no breeze. Some rooms do not cool off. Asked for extra fans and Gregg delivered 3 extra fans. Close to Kona Diving. 8 family members. Here for 3 weeks in June. Great family time. Eldest daughter did pay extra to have a portable AC put in room across for main living area. It was very nice that they accommodated her and her family bthanks again Gregg.

Loved our stay here!

Heaven for me is seclusion surrounded by tropical beauty and my family. Privacy for all of us in 4 separate unique spaces. The fourth room can be a king or separated into two twins. You wouldn’t want to put small kids back there because it’s kind of behind the house. No view there but it’s own bathroom as do all of the rooms here. If you’re looking for natural beauty and an outdoor feeling even indoors come stay here. If you’re looking for upscale accommodations make reservations at the Marriott. The owners responded immediately to an issue we had with the dishwasher. Bonus experience was turtles every day on the lava fields as well as one on the beach one day. I was so grateful to find a pair of water shoes available here as you really need them for the rocky beach.

This property is amazing! Such a beautiful back patio, we never wanted to leave! We had everything we needed! Well stocked kitchen, beach towels, rest & relaxation!! We hope to be back!!!!

Place was wonderful

Everything was perfect. Could use some pest control, found big and small cockroaches in every-room throughout the stay. Which made it hard to want to cook or use kitchen items. Loved having 4 separate bedroom/bathrooms, plenty of room for everyone, with beautiful views of the ocean!

This was our second stay in Puako, and this property was a gem to find. The character and charm of this home was exactly what we wanted. There was enough space for six of us to spread out. We are a family of four, and our adult kids brought their significant others. The lanai is amazing and perfect for lounging. Many a game was played and dinners enjoyed on the outside dining table. The kitchen was more than equipped with everything we needed, and Gregg, the property manager, was always responsive with questions. There is an abundance of sea life and the turtles were so fun to watch. The tidepools fun to explore and oh those sunsets.... spectacular to watch. This home is definitely one we would return to for another Big Island vacation.

This family vacation was the first in many years. I celebrated a very BIG birthday with my three adult children and my two grandchildren. The time we spent and the memories we built will last forever. The home was idealy set up for us. Everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen was outfitted with everything you need for preparing a big family meal/barbeque. The ocean view from the LV as well as two of the bedrooms is breathtaking. This house is truly relaxing. Besides the drop dead view of the ocean, and the best beach in Puako, the house is well equipped with a full kitchen ready for entertaining. Lots of prvacay as each pod is an ensuite bedroom, and the main house stands alone. You simply would be hard pressed to find a better house for a group anywhere on the planet. Period. We will be back !

This home was an amazing place to be with friends enjoying the beautiful view from the lanai, looking for sea turtles in the shallow waters and on rocks and the beautiful sunsets at night. The home was well equipped for our needs. The lanai was plenty big enough for a sitting area and a dining table. I would highly recommend if you want a quiet place to relax, watch turtles, spinner dolphins from the backyard and beautiful sunsets.

There were cockroaches in every room and more outside on the porch Ice from the refrigerator was temperamental Otherwise it was a fun house Would have loved to have water toys available.

We had an incredible time in Puako. The location could not be more beautiful and better - it’s in close proximity to absolutely wonderful beaches, we saw gorgeous sunrises and sunsets and turtles everyday, and the neighborhood is accessible and quiet. The house was great for a group of 8 - two families of four - affording a lot of privacy since each bedroom has its own entrance and bathroom, and they are separated from the kitchen and dining area. We had some issues with the WiFi due to a storm, and they were very responsive in helping us troubleshoot. The only downsides: except for the master bedroom the other bedrooms are small and not too great to hang out in, some of the appliances could use upgrading (the dishwasher), and the bedroom with twin beds is quite separate from the main house area, which made two of our kids a little nervous on the first few nights. While the house and furniture feel a little run down, the space, location, and outdoor areas are so great that I’d highly recommend to others, and I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

For our family of eight, ranging in ages from eleven to eighty, this was the perfect spot. Beautiful location with great snorkeling right in front of us. Nicely finished and appointed with large kitchen, family room, and lanai. Sunsets outrageously breathtaking.

Our family of Grandma and Grandpa and two adult children with their families stayed here over Christmas. The location was excellent, right on the water, on a sandy and rocky beach. There was also a nice grassy back yard for lounging on lawn chairs or for kids to play. The accommodations worked well for our group, with a common kitchen/dining/living area and then separate bedrooms in their own little pods for each family group. The outdoor covered patio was large, faced the ocean and was great for eating outside. One thing that didn’t quite work well were the screen doors out to the patio, but I believe the owners were going to replace some doors. We had a few interactions with Gregg, the property manager, and he was very personable and helpful.

Flawless experience. We thoroughly enjoyed this home and especially the access to the beach. The marine life was beautiful and distracting because we couldn’t keep our eyes off it. The outdoor showers were a real plus. We all loved them. The lanai was outstanding and well as the other areas of the house. The two refrigerators were a real help. We went to the Saturday farmers market in Waimea and bought lots of fruits and veges. All went well look forward to coming back.
