The home is just as pictured. My teens enjoyed having all the space in the house and their own rooms. The lanai was a great place for dinner. And although the weather was far too cold to swim, we enjoyed fishing from the dock and other places nearby. The teens really enjoyed exploring the park on the island as well! And it’s a short and easy drive to town for supplies. Our dog also loved the space and we appreciated the fenced yard and dog friendly home! Lisa is a very responsive host.

The location is great . The kitchen was stocked with all the cooking equipment for a great thanksgiving meal. The pool , patio, dock and parking is perfect. It is also as clean as you would keep your own home. A perfect 5 stars absolutely nothing to complain about. Will definitely be renting again

We stayed here for our daughter's 2nd birthday vacation. We wanted a canal in case we decided to bring our boat, a pool for our daughter to swim every day, near the beach, and close to attractions in Sarasota and St. Pete / Clearwater. I couldn't believe we found such an ideal location at a great price point! And it's in a great neighborhood, nice and quiet! And Emerson Point Preserve down the street is really awesome. Staying somewhere clean is vitally important to us, and this property is immaculately clean, spotless inside and out. Towels, beds, pillows, kitchen, pool, bathrooms, everything. The screened in pool area is fantastic. The back door locks securely so we didn't have to worry about our daughter wandering out and falling in. Then once in the pool, we didn't have to worry about her jumping out and running to the canal and falling in. Not to mention keeping biting insects out, which can be really bad this time of year. They also provide kayaks, bicycles, fishing gear, and pool towels. There's a spring in one of the canals nearby where you can see manatees drinking, and there were usually manatees in the canal behind the house. We wouldn't hesitate to book this property again for future tips!

Beautiful, pet friendly, clean home in a very nice area! Our kids caught a large snook and catfish right off the dock.

Pool and access to gulf by boat is perfect....

My husband and I stayed 5 nights over the Memorial weekend, my in-laws joined us for part of the time. The home is beautiful and there were so many ammenities provided. The pool and dock area are a great place to hang out. We used the grill and ate outside every evening. We biked, boated, and fished to our hearts content. The home and hosts have everything provided to help you feel welcome and relaxed. It was one of our favorite VRBO's and we will be back for sure!

I totally recommend this little piece of paradise on Snead Island. It is a nice quiet community on a canal that has plenty of fish that you can catch right off the dock. This home supplied everything from fishing poles, pool toys to games, puzzles and a fully stocked kitchen. I normally take an essentials tote with extra detergent, hand soap, salt pepper, kitchen utensils….and I did but I didn’t have too because it was all there and more. There is one downfall and that is not the owners fault but be prepared for the no seeums….it doesn’t help that I am allergic to them. I will definitely revisit! Thank you so much!

Really liked the location, quite neighborhood. The house is older but still nice and was very clean. Pool was great, and wonderful that we could bring our boat.

This rental was perfect for my son and I! We rented a boat for the week along with the house kept the boat at the house. Easy navigation through the area, friendly local bait shops and plenty of things to do in the area. Overall we had a blast, we will definitely book this rental again. We have stayed in many rentals in the surrounding areas and this is by far the best location we have stayed at. The house and pool are nice and clean !

The location of this property is perfect for our needs. We are able to have our boat for fishing. Then, come back and cool off in the pool. The nearby parks and trails make for perfect afternoon strolls. The cleanliness of this property is also top notch!

The house is super cute and the perfect size. At times, when our Floridian adult kids joined us, there was plenty of space for all eight if us. The pool is great with nice sitting areas around it. Our kids brought paddle boards and we used the Kayaks provided. Unique areas to explore by water. Dock and outdoor area on the water was very nice and made water accessibility easy. Forty five minutes from the Tampa Airport and is an easy drive from airport. We explored St. Pete's and nearby beaches. Publix is in Palmetto and we ordered groceries online and they were delivered to our door for free. We loved this place. Our adult children loved it as well. We plan to visit annually, and I expect to rebook this place again! There's something to be said about a place that is homey and comfortable. We had a health hiccup, and had to check out early. The hosts were very accommodating and very helpful. Booking was easy. They also allow dogs and have a cute, fenced yard. Our Grandpets didn't want to leave.

Our stay at the Palmetto House could not have been more enjoyable. The location, amenities, and overall condition of the property is top notch. We were able to use the fabulous boat lift and dock from which we explored the Manatee River, Egmont Key, and the ICW. Bradenton Beach , one of the best beaches in Florida, is only 30 minutes away. The owners are very responsive. Thank you for a wonderful vacation.

Beautiful, peaceful & convenient neighborhood. The house and grounds are well kept and lovely. It was the perfect place to relax yet be conveniently located between all our family and friends. The kids said we can't stay anywhere else when we go visit, the favorite spot has been chosen.

Our family with 2 dogs stayed at the Pompano house during our FL vacation. The house is exactly as pictured and offers everything you'll need while there. The location for us was perfect for all our go to destinations. We spent our days venturing out and our evenings at the house. The house is very cozy and the pool was perfect after a day out. We highly recommend the Pompano house and would definitely book again.

The house was overall clean, the house could use some updating. The pool is nice, but cold and limited sun. The home was homey and very pet friendly. We overall had a great and relaxing time.

Only issues we had where: 1. A/C didn't flow well to master bedroom. 2. Pool wasn't heated 3. Drainage was very bad after the rain (couldn't flush toilets and showers backed up) Everything else was awesome! Pictures don't do this place justice.

We rented this property with our adult kids and had a great time. The house was very clean and comfortable. The pool and lanai were very nice. And the pier was great, too. The kids had planned to go kayaking but never got around to it because they were too busy soaking in the pool. Short drive to great restaurants and waterfront.

Beautiful property exactly the same in person as the pictures online. We brought our boat had easy access in and out of the canal with easy access to the Gulf of Mexico. Gas for the boa available nearby on the water as well as bait

Perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the office. The house was exactly as listed and was in perfect condition. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back soon

This place is amazing. So peaceful and relaxing. We where super bummed when our boat wasn’t ready for the trip but we honestly didn’t even miss it. Caught snook off the kayaks that where provided and loved the pool!! Definitely will be going back!!!

We had an amazing time staying here! The house is very clean, has lots of room, and is equipped with everything needed and more! The location is perfect for getting to those great fishing spots quickly and the pool is so refreshing after a day out catching fish! We can’t wait to go back!
