Always a pleasure, could use some seasonal maintenance but overall great!

My husband and I stayed here with our adult daughter and her fiancé. The cabin was secluded yet close to town for food and a short distance to Mt Katahdin/Baxter State Park. We were able to enjoy a campfire in the evening and watch an eagle and loons in the morning along the river. The kitchen was fully equipped where we enjoyed cooking our meals together. There was plenty of space to spread out to talk, read or watch movies and beds were comfortable. We would stay here again!

We had a wonderful time just renewing ourselves!! The windows toward the water kept us mesmerized even though we had a lot of rain. This has been on my bucket list for years and it was everything and more such beautiful colors perfect timing! Thanks for sharing your wonderful cabin!!!

Two other units we were supposed to stay at during our trip to Maine had to cancel due to Hurricane Lee. I reached out to the host and they responded saying "what? There's no hurricane. If there were a hurricane I would have heard about it." Kinda a weird thing to lie about, but okay? They never responded to my second message either. With a host that treats their customers this way you might be better off finding a different place to stay in Millinocket.

This was the best vacation our family had in a long time. It’s private, and spacious, and close to town but right on the water. We would stay again for sure.

Loved having a drink and watching the sunset on the three outdoor seating spots on porch and backyard and on platform off steps to the river. Also enjoyed seeing the full bright “Blue Moon” sinking down behind the trees during the night from thee we fabulous huge bedroom window . We felt miles from civilization, yet we were so conveniently located to the road up to Baxter for hiking, Katahdin General store, Hannaford’s and the road to the Lumbermen’s Museum up in Patten. The house was spotless and had everything a renter could possibly need. We highly recommend this house and hope to return.

The house is very nice in a semi secluded spot sitting above the Penobscot River. There's stairs to get most of the way down to the river. We found the listing on VRBO and after reviewing the photos and description, we booked it

Great place for Rafters
This house was right across the street from our full day White Water Rafting excursion, so it was perfect for us. Well stocked with pantry items, cookware, dishes…literally everything one could need at a rental. Also loved having our dog with us. It was great!

Great trip
The property manager was responsive. It was very slippery due to ice, the manager had a sand truck there the next day. My husband did have difficulty locating the snowmobile trail, wish it was marked better. We did have a great time.

Kitchen comes fully stocked with pots pans, coffee maker, crockpot you name it. We had a great time & would definitely return. Hosts will respond quickly with any concerns or questions.

The place is a great location, but getting into the water to swim or putting in a canoe or kayak is very treacherous! The outside could use sprucing up as there's a lot of "junk" in the yard and under the deck. Nothing that a day of clean up and weed wacking wouldn't cure. The inside is spacious and was perfect for cooking/eating and hanging out with family.
The owners were super nice and very attentive to what we needed.

Loved the location, loved all amenities such as spices, dish washer. Loved the fire pit and rope swing. Need better directions for finding place. My husband fixed upstairs shower as the shower head was blocked. He cleaned it and then it ran fine. He also tightened up door handle to back door cause it was loose. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Great Place to Stay!
This was my 3rd time staying at Charles and Lisa's home! Their home as everything you need when visiting Millinocket. Plenty of room inside and out, fire pit, on the water (with newly built stairs!) kayaks, canoes and close to a grocery store.

Great place to stay!
This cabin styled home was adorable! The property was privately located, with only one neighbor next door. Beautiful views off the river! Quick responses from the owners, super easy to check in and out! Also, my favorite part about this rental is that it’s dog friendly! Incredibly happy with our stay here. We’ll be back for sure!

Everything you need and more
This cabin was perfect for my boyfriend and I! Rugged enough to please his outdoorsy self, but plenty of modern day amenities to keep a city girl happy. We loved how close it was to Baxter State park, and the Amazon fire stick was a great bonus too! Very clean, and had a wonderful selection of nice dishes/cookware. Can’t praise this place enough!

Millinocket rocked it!
House was on the river and had awesome views. Enjoyed canoeing hiking and the golden road. The visitors center gave great info. Property manager very responsive and helpful. Loved our stay so much and hope to be back soon.

Comfortable North Woods Rental
Wonderful location, short drive to Baxter State park, grocery stores and restaurants. We were grateful for the collection of dvd's on the cool rainy nights. Being seniors the access to the waterfront was steep, looking forward to phase 2 waterfront deck installation :-) Would rent again!
