My family had a great stay. We fit 17 people very comfortably in the cabin. Spectacular views.

We really enjoyed this property. We were a group of Combat Vets that have varying physical issues and this cabin had several entry points that made it super easy to accommodate. It allowed us plenty of room to hang out and dine together. Owners were quickly responsive with questions. No issues and beautiful cabin!

Our group of 10 friends really enjoyed our stay. We visited the area to do the Cades Cove Loop Lope, reconnect, and relax. The house was impeccably clean, offered plenty of comfortable spaces to both relax quietly and gather all together. The owners were responsive and helpful and their level of care is the best I’ve experienced. Five stars all around.

Our stay was absolutely beautiful. The place is just as described. It’s all about the view of the mountains. The privacy and the solitude it offers for just you and your group. I hope to return again and stay longer next time. Kudos to the owners. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Easily the best view on the mountain side. Plenty of room for the 12 people we had and great for all ages. Bathrooms needed ventilation fans because the humidity caused by showers was causing mold. Also needed some work done on some leaking gutters and the deck but definitely worth every penny. I am looking forward to coming back at some point.

Great place for a large group. Enough beds and space for everyone. The views of the Smoky Mountains are spectacular. Close enough to Pigeon Forge but yet far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet. Would definitely recommend.

This is a wonderful property, with plenty of room for our group of 10 adults. The view from the deck was incredible, with plenty of comfortable seating. What a treat to see a Mama bear and her two cubs, as well as another single bear who were just calmly checking things out on the first morning. Beds were comfortable and the owners were very responsive. Plan to come back in the future. Highly recommend.

We were here for my daughter and future son in law’s bachelor and bachelorette weekend. We really enjoyed our stay, the views, the pool table, hot tub and amazing views! We were visited by a mama bear and her two cubs the day we left. We will definitely visit again!

This cabin has one of the best views! We enjoyed sitting on the patio and just enjoying it. The size of the property was great for our 10 people. It’s within a few miles of Pigeon Forge where there is so much to do for all ages. I highly recommend this property!!

Our multi generational family takes a trip once a year. This property perfectly accommodated all our needs. Plenty of dining space. No steps to the fire pit. Views for days. Comfortable beds and furniture. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The cabin was clean and welcoming, the view is simply breathtaking!!! We were able to enjoy family time together! The owners answered our questions and texts promptly!

Our stay at Donn and Margret’s cabin was amazing!!!! The house is close enough to Wears Valley for the essentials but you really felt like you were alone on your own mountain when at home. The house was the perfect size for our three families made up of 6 adults, two young adults, and two kiddos! The set up of the house allowed everyone to be together but also have their own spaces if needed. The HUGE and beautiful dinning tables allowed for us all to be able to eat at the same time and in the same place. The beds were super comfy! But….if we want to get down to the best part of the house, the DECK AND THE VIEW, were amazing! The sunrise and sunsets from the comfy deck furniture were amazing! I would not be exaggerating when I say that MOST of our time was spent on the deck! Just perfect!

The cabin was well equipped. The owner was really nice. We all loved our stay. I would definitely rebook if we go back to the area! The views were amazing. The rooms were really comfortable.

The cabin far exceeded our expectations. Awesome experience from booking to departure. Our group consisted of 9 adults and a toddler and we had more space than we actually needed. The cabin had everything we desired; beautiful views of the mountains, seclusion, serenity, peace and quietness. The cabin was very clean and contained everything for our cooking needs. Our only disappointment was having to leave. We all wished we had at least two more days. We decided to make this a twice a year retreat, so we will return in the fall.

This property was amazing! We loved everything about it…there was plenty of space, it was very clean, and the view is beautiful. We really appreciated all the little things the house had, including the toiletries in the bathrooms, all the dishes/glasses in the kitchen, and the TVs were easy to operate! Loved the pool table, the downstairs bar, and the hot tub. This house really has it all, including a private drive. And we even saw a bear on the property during our first night! We would definitely come back and stay at this house again!

The property was in a beautiful location with perfect views of Wears Valley. Lots of bedrooms and bathrooms for our large family. The hot tub was a highlight for the children after a days hike. We are a cooking family and liked the ease of a dishwasher and large amount of dishes.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean and there were even little toiletries in the bathrooms. Access was easy, property manager was very courteous, location was excellent. Slept extremely well on very comfortable beds. View was great. Couldn’t get upstairs fireplace to work but downstairs one worked great. Pool table was fun. Really appreciate it. Highly recommend.

This property was a great find! It was a great spot for our marriage retreat weekend. I would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet place with a great view and a clean spot to get away.

The cabin was beautiful and very comfortable for the 12 of us. Everything was spotless and clean , we enjoyed our time in the cabin, great location and views.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The views were beautiful. The cabin was extremely cozy and clean. It was truly a home away from home. Donn and Margaret were amazing host, and were just a phone call away when we needed them. We were snowed in on the day we were due to checkout, and without a doubt they were understandable of our need to stay an extra night. Their stance was “safety first”. We are so thankful to them for that. We look forward to our next stay at golden view lodge.

This Cabin was amazing. It was very clean and had lots of space.

The girls in my family have a long standing tradition of taking a long weekend trip in November, four generations this year. Typically we spend time shopping, eating out, etc. This year, we spent much more time just hanging out at the cabin. The views were great...we loved seeing the lights from the town below at night. We made good use of the hot tub and spent time around the table playing games. The only disappointment was not seeing any bears like other visitors talked about.

The location is at the very top... Plenty of parking and beautiful view. 4 days in a row we were visited by several black bears... Big daddy, mom and cubs, and some stragglers. Was very cool... And a little intimidating as well. Nice firepit area. Everything was excellent with the exception of some material issues. Many of the pots, pans, etc are in need of replacement. Most didn't have any nonstick coating anymore, or were warped to where the food doesn't cook evenly. Two slats of the blinds were broken off in the master bedroom. Last guests left chewed gum pieces on the headboard of one room and the cleaning crew missed it. Don't expect great wifi...it'll take awhile to catch up when streaming. Hottub is old... Jets don't work very well and once you removed the cover it didn't maintain the heat. Pool table had a tear in the cloth and there are only 2 normal size pool sticks. The tip came off one and there were no extras and no way to glue it back on...so maybe they should have a few more there. The temp in the house doesn't regulate very well in all rooms. There are so many drafts coming in through the cabinets, windows, etc... It's hard to set the thermostat. It could be 70-72 in one room, and 60-62 in the bedrooms. Downstairs was freezing and if you try to increase the temp in the rooms downstairs, it'll feel like 90 upstairs. Those are the few nitpick...but some may matter to people. We would probably look at another cabin next time, but if you can overlook those issues, then this is THE PLACE. You can't beat the view, and the location is obviously a favorite pathway for the black bears. Great for large groups...as long as you don't mind the steep climb. Our entire family had the best week. Thank you.

We loved this place! It was quiet, beautiful and a perfect mixture of nature and city feel. The owners were available and helpful. Lovely place, very spacious and overall stay!

Beautiful views. Close enough to action but quiet when at home.

Location was great and size of place was perfect for our family. Drive up mountain was steep but folks from IL aren't used to that.
