Haus Hanika was exactly the peaceful vacation I needed. The accommodations were beautiful and we enjoyed spending time sitting next to the river each day watching the birds, deer and river otter. We will definitely be back.

We loved the riverbank location of the B and B. The room was very comfortable, the bathroom large and nice, fun to make our breakfast in our room and then eat it sitting on the patio outside the room. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. Great location for access to hiking. Wonderful getaway.

We could not have been happier with our stay at Haus Hanika. In addition to the incredibly beautiful setting and first- rate accommodations, we were particularly pleased in our interactions with the property owners, Sandy and Ted, who went out of their way to help us have an enjoyable stay. Upon learning of our car trouble, they offered to pick us up from the mechanic’s shop, drove us into town for dinner, and drove us to the airport so that we could obtain a rental car. To say that Sandy and Ted went above and beyond the call of duty is quite an understatement. But even without the extra care and attention, we would stay at Haus Hanika again. The room had everything that we needed for a weekend stay, and the location right on the river was absolutely superb.

Haus Hanika was the perfect Leavenworth B&B to spend our anniversary and birthday in! The setting is absolutely spectacular and sits on the beautiful Wenatchee River. We stayed in the little Black Bear room and it was perfect for the two of us for four days. The room was immaculate and quiet...only the sounds of the river and birds! We hiked, kayaked, and flyfished...perfection! Thanks, Sandy and Ted...you’ve created a wonderful oasis!

My family rented both the Black Bear and Alpine Suites for 5 wonderful days in July. Ted and Sandy took great care of us during our stay. Everything was perfect...beautiful clean suites, breakfast items that we all enjoyed, peace & quiet and an amazing river right out our private door. We hiked 3 days of our stay and experienced the beautiful area around Leavenworth. We also enjoyed eating at a number of the local restaurants. The Watershed Cafe was amazing!!! We have stayed in other VRBO rentals around the US and Haus Hanika is one of the very best. My family couldn't have asked for more! We can't wait to return to this beautiful B&B!

Loved the Black Bear Suite for our getaway in Leavenworth. Quiet. Homey. Breakfast awesome. Great view & location. Quiet, clean, and well laid out. Can’t wait to visit again in the summer.

We stayed in the Black Bear room, it was very sweet! Everything was clean and modern. Also had a nice view of the river. Breakfast was great and we loved that we could do it ourselves. Would definitely come back!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay here. It was comfortable, beautifully decorated, and perfectly clean. The riverside view was a treat. We enjoyed the delicious included brunch out on the patio. Thank you Sandy and Ted!

My husband and I loved our 2-night stay at this wonderful little place. It was homey and oh so comfortable. The Belgian waffles were a special treat! And now back home in the miserable heat and humidity in Houston, we are relying on our memories of sitting in those great chairs at the rivers edge! The magical nanny described herself as practically perfect in every way. That description fits Haus Hanika to a "T." Cozy, quiet rooms. Absolutely lovely décor. Delicious breakfast food in the room. The most comfortable mattress ever. Killer location overlooking the Wenatchee river. Heck, they even provided wildlife: deer, herons, and eagles! The only thing Ted and Sandy failed to deliver was sunshine and blue skies. Oh, wait. It only rained two out of three days. :-) All in all, BEST B&B STAY EVER! We'll definitely be back!

Great view of the river with friendly, prompt service. The in-room waffle making supplies were a great touch! River access was great and managed to see 2 deer run past early in the morning. Will definitely stay here again when in Leavenworth!

What a great place to relax! We're traveling across country and have been hiking and biking everyday. Haus Hanika was a great place to just relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. This B&B sits literally on the edge of a beautiful river. We sat all day long beside the river and watched the tubers and kayakers float the river. We stayed just two nights but we were wishing we'd booked it for more. The Black Bear Suite has everything a person would need: very comfortable bed, jetted tub, and a wonderful breakfast which you prepare yourself whenever you're ready to do so. Eating our Bavarian waffles on our private porch... oh my goodness, wonderful food and beautiful scenery ... a combination we won't soon forget. Oh, and by the way, the town of Leavenworth is fabulous -- everything is decorated in a Bavarian style -- very quaint and enjoyable. We will definitely stay here again!

There is no need to look for another rental. Haus Hanika B&B is a wonderful place to stay. From the time you arrive until you depart Ted and Sandy have your comfort in mind. The peaceful patio with the Wenatchee river just yards away is the best. You're only 3 minutes from downtown Leavenworth. What is not to like about this property. Two thumbs up. Michael O.

The location is wonderful, on a quiet stretch of the Wenatchee river, and the unit had its own divided patio to sit and enjoy drinks or a lovely breakfast. Additional chairs are located in multiple points down towards the river, giving plenty of options. The room was very clean, everything in working order and well appointed. Small, but very workable. A jetted tub and freestanding shower complement the full bath. Breakfast consists of a number of options, all provided in the room ahead of time. Granola, a fruit and muffin basket, milk, orange juice, and batter for use in the waffle maker all provided. We tried our hand at the waffles, with their blueberry syrup, the first morning, and they came out great. The Hanika's are both gracious hosts, checking in on us when we came through, offering to restock anything (too much already, so we kindly passed) and giving recommendations for hiking trails in the area. It was so lovely here, we spent more time there than expected, making for late mornings, but a wonderfully relaxing stay. Highly recommended!

The property is immaculately maintained and beautifully decorated while keeping a comfy, cozy feeling. The views of the Wenatchee River are plentiful, and the chalet makes you feel like you're tucked into a village in Bavaria. We loved it!

The location was absolutely beautiful. We were one mile from the center of Leavenworth. Sandy and Ted were warm, friendly hosts. Our room had a view of the Wenatchee River. There was lots of snow on the ground but our little fireplace made our adorably decorated room toasty warm. Our little fridge was stocked with waffle batter, milk, sausages and orange juice and an idiot proof waffle maker. There was a basket of muffins and fruit as well as both bran cereal and granola. Everything was bavarian 😊Even the dishes matched the rooms decor. The bed and linens were very comphy. We would definately stay here again. Thank you for sharing your gorgeous home with us! This was the perfect spot for my husband and I to just get away and enjoy the beautiful area and relax. Our hosts were very welcoming and had any information we needed to answer our questions and give recommendations.
