Great host, stunning volcano and ocean view, fabulous heated pool, large rooms, nice location

Need to take care of the garden, dirty baby chair, not enough cleanliness in the kitchen and toilets, bad plumbing, damaged outside furniture (lean carefully) outdated grill, plants should be cut at entrance on handicap sidewalk ( kids can be scratched), bad smell from sewage in master bedroom, no sockets in the master room for charging the phones,

Fabulous views and beautiful garden around the villa although the lower garden needs attention. Lovely heated clean pool Spacious living area. Lots of useful kitchen gadgets. The agent quickly arranged for a balcony door lock to be mended

The electric circuits fused if you used an oven and a heater. During a wet night the garden lighting flashed off and on constantly. The lighting in the kitchen was very poor There were no sockets in the master bedroom for recharging phones etc There was no shower curtain for the master bathroom which consequently flooded onto the floor Netflix is only available if you have your own account There are no toiletries in the bathrooms

The view, the pool, the interior ... everything was perfect

Everything is great, except for the 2 minuses listed below (If the owners fix those minuses, it could be rated 10 Points!)

- 1 : Very nice garden and yard plants (once there were...) It's a pity that the owners have abandoned them and don't take care of them properly! -2 : Unsustainable toilet plumbing

Villa Marina is a pretty villa with amazing views over the sea and Teide on a clear day. Location is really peaceful in a quiet residential area and in the end of the road. The pool area is nice and well kept. After our visit they’ll install heating system in the pool, which’ll make it even more enjoyable. There’s a romantic, secret garden on the level below that could benefit of some additional gardening. The villa is decorated in somewhat 80’ies retro style but is adequately equipped and there was luxuriously space for just the two of us. We only used the main bedroom that had a lovely view to the sea. Dishware was pretty and functional and there were enough pots and pans for preparing meals. El Sauzal village approx. four kilometres away has a couple of small supermarkets, local market, pharmacy, bakery, cafes and some good restaurants. The closest one is Los Angeles that serves traditional Canarian fare. The fancier ones are Casa del Vino and Nila, both excellent. Bigger supermarkets HyperDino, Lidl and Mercadona are within five to ten kilometres driving distance. Special thanks to Roderick, who attended all our questions and requests with an cheerful and excellent customer service attitude. 👏👏

It can be a bit chilly at night in winter time, why we recommend slippers or woollen socks. We were, however, provided with electric radiators at request and had no problems with cold after plugging them in. It’s good to know that although the villa is quite close to the sea, there’s no shortcut, but you need to walk or drive quite a bit along a very curvy road to get there but it’s definitely worth it. Also one needs a car getting around and adequate driving skills are useful, too. 😉
