This house was GREAT! We used the kitchen to cook meals, grilled fish by the pool, biked around the island, kayaked in the canals, made smoothies with fruit from the farmers market! We were very thankful to find this house as we are chemically sensitive and don’t like plug ins and air fresheners and this place did not have those. The owners were great when we asked about a fishing pole, they went above and beyond. If I were to do it again, I think we wouldn’t have gotten a rental car and gotten a ride from the airport instead to save money because we left the car parked the whole trip I made memories with my parents and husband that I’ll treasure forever. I really hope we can come back!

A very conveniently located rental in the heart of AMI. The property was clean both inside and outside with a good sized pool and dock. We spent many an hour fishing and canoeing from the dock.

Great location on AMI for Beach and Solitude. We enjoyed the area with Golf Cart and Bicycles. And fishing from Piers.

Enjoyed our stay (despite hurricane threat!) and the house provided everything we needed. House is clean, beds are comfortable, aircon cold, and just a short walk to best beach on island - who needs more ! Outside, the garden has shade, the good sized pool is clean and we saw Manatee and all sort of other wildlife from the dock. Our stay was interrupted by hurricane Idalia, but the owners kindly provided use of a condo a few miles inland until It passed. Fortunately the house, and AMI generally, wasn’t affected so we could resume our holiday. We have stayed on AMI many times and this house is in the perfect location - a quiet area, away from the crowds, and beach visits without parking issues.

We loved the house and all of its amenities. Being able to walk to the sunset each night was nice and the neighborhood is very quiet. We were surprised by how spacious the house and the pool were. It really added to our vacation being able to kayak and fish right from our own private dock.

We loved our stay at this property! The house comes as advertised, very clean, within close proximity to all of the main attractions on AMI! The house has tons of gear and toys you will need for the beach/pool, is a quick walk to Bean Point, and a short golf cart drive or bike ride to Pine St. It was awesome having our own dock to hang out at, as we got to see a manatee come cruising back and hang out right in front of our dock. Also being able to kayak right off the dock and going out to the bay was a great new experience for us and our kids as it only took about 15 minutes kayaking to make it there. The pool is huge, has a great screened in porch to eat off of, and plenty of space to move around out back. The owners were great and easy to communicate with leading up to our stay as we had no issues once there. The carport was also great if you rent a golf cart for the week and need to keep it cool or out of a Florida storm. I would definitely recommend this home for anyone wanting to enjoy a great stress free vacation and will definitely look to rent again on our future visits! Thank Jim and Margaret

It was our first time in AMI. This was the perfect house for us. We LOVED having the pool just feet away from us. We had a great time.

We had a fabulous stay in this lovely home. It had everything we could need, and instructions and directions for staying here were thoughtful and useful. The location was perfect, being a simple bike ride from beaches, restaurants and shopping. The pool and dock were the perfect extension of the home, and an additional oasis in this little piece of paradise. We will 100% be returning guests!

The house was wonderful and in a great location. Easy check in/out process. Dock fit our boat great 23’ boat however you have to go under a bridge to get to gulf, our boat has a t-top and you can only make it under during low tide.

We loved the quiet location and were able to walk to many of our favorite spots. Fishing off the dock in our backyard was so relaxing and we caught quite a few fish over the week. We would definitely rent here again!

Wanted a quiet location on Anna Maria island for a week, close to beaches but with an “Old Florida” atmosphere. This really fit the bill.

If you are looking for a place to stay in Anna Maria look no further! The pictures do not do it justice. It is a very short 3 or 4 minute walk to the beach. The private heated pool is nothing short of amazing. We kayaked through the canals and sat on the dock watching the fish jump. The owners of the property are wonderful. Hurricane Ian cut our trip very short, but Jim and Margaret were wonderful to work with. They are very quick to respond to all messages. We will definitely be staying here again!!

My husband and I had a great week. This property was perfect for us. It really is a short walk to the beach, and a part of the beach that is not typically as crowded as other parts of Anna Maria. If you have never been to the Island, you do want to be on this coveted north end. It is on the canal so we enjoyed kayaking - they do have two kayaks, I believe the listing currently only shows one and mentions one. We love to kayak so this was a huge plus for us and we felt very safe on the canal. The pool is very nice - it is private and quite large and well maintained. Please, do not let some of the furnishings and finishes in the photos sway your decision. The house has a great flow and was very clean. And this is very walkable to other restaurants or to the trolley stop. You can also use the Monkey Bus on the island - they work on tips only. The hosts were very responsive to all of our questions. We did not try the bikes, but they did look very worn, if you are planning to bike you may need to rent bikes on the island. I would stay again, but the only bit of caution I have is the AC thermostat cannot be turned below 74 degrees F currently as it will possibly freeze up. I personally do enjoy it cooler at night when I am sleeping, but with the fans on it was manageable.

Had a beautiful week at this clean, charming and well-kept rental. The house sits on what has become our favorite cul de sac on the north end of Anna Maria (Iris Street). The hosts have been very purposeful in creating a relaxing setting that makes you feel like you are home. We appreciate their effort for sustainability and provision of adequate home goods for our stay. After visiting for numerous years, I suspect we have found a property we will be returning to again and again. Thank you for a great week. Art and Meg

We enjoyed our 7 day stay at this cottage. The entire property was immaculate (probably one of the cleanest rentals we’ve ever stayed at). We loved the location, proximity to Bean Point and Pine. We could bike to watch the sunsets on Bean Point in 5 minutes every night. There was plenty of room in the backyard and pool. We made use of the bikes and kayaks provided by the house. We loved fishing off the dock and kayaking in the canals. The twin beds could be more comfortable but the master bed was nice. Overall, we would definitely stay here again.

This house had a great location with a short walk to the beach. It had a good sized pool and a dock to the lagoon. We enjoyed all the amenities provided (Kayaks, pool/beach toys, games and books). This is a great place to stay and I highly recommend it.

The house was great, felt very clean like no harsh chemicals had been used. Some things had been updated since the pictures such as furniture, the dock, and the kayak. Beautiful backyard with lots of privacy. Overall, an awesome place to stay in AMI right by the beach.

The house and pool were perfect! Very clean. The location was great! It was nice to be within walking distance to the beach but tucked away from traffic etc. and nice to enjoy the dock on the canal. Jim was quick to resolve a Wi-Fi login issue within minutes of me emailing him. Great hosts! Would recommend.

Our family really enjoyed our stay at Simplicity Cottage. The home was clean and spacious for our family. The pool was nice after a long day in the sun. We brought our 25 foot boat and kept it at the dock on the property. The home is in a nice and quiet neighborhood and a short walk to the beach.
