The house was beautiful and it is a great location. A very short walk to the beach. We saw trails of where 2 sea turtles came up and laid eggs. The only thing that was disappointing was that it was advertised that there was a grill at the house. We had to go and buy one.

We went to SSI for Thanksgiving with our family. The house is very fun and accommodated a large group. Mark was responsive to questions we had.

We went to St. Simons and had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful house! It was very clean, had great furnishings and lots of space for 3 couples. It's within walking distance to the beach and is a beautiful easy walk. The house is well stocked with necessities in kitchen and bathrooms. Can't wait to book our next stay there!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! From communication prior to check in through our check out Gena and Mark were wonderful hosts. The cottage is quite roomy and very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked and the location was so convenient to the beach. This is a great beach getaway!

Gena and Mark were super easy to get in contact with, check in was easy and everything was clean. We had a group of 9 girls and it was the perfect size and and easy walk to the beach l

Mark and Gena were great! They even dropped by just after we arrived and we were delighted to meet them. The cottage was such and interesting place with, I suspect, many stories to tell. We enjoyed the style of the house and looking at all the decorating. The beach was a short walk and we enjoyed mornings, days and evenings at the beach. St. Simons island was enjoyed by all of our families in different ways. Food was very good and the neighborhood is very nice. We will hopefully be back and will contact Matk and Gena first. Thank you for a wonderful time!!!

The house was in a great location. Within walking distance to the beach and just a few minutes from downtown. The house was clean and the host was very responsive. We would definitely stay here again.

The property owner was great about responding and even let me know as soon as the cleaning crew said they were done. My big complaint, which was addressed with owner already, was the cleanliness of the house. The only thing I believe the cleaning crew did was change the sheets and if beds were made they didn't change them, had to wash some before sleeping that night. The floor hadnt been mopped in a long time, my grandbabies feet where black from walkimg around barefooted in the house. I had to buy stuff to mop the floor with. The house was very dusty, so if allergies, not the house for you right now. One of the upstairs bedrooms, with twin beds in it, had so much dust on ceiling fan it has blown it all on the ceiling. There also needs to be more towels and wash clothes because there only 10 towels 6 wash clothes with no extra in any closets. The size of the house was great and we loved the screened porch to sit talk at night. The house is in a great location to the beach. My suggestion is fire your cleaning crew and find you a single mom that needs the money, she will do a much better job for the $$$ spent on cleaning fees.(pet deposit included)

Nicely located getaway with plenty of room for people and pets of all ages! Lots of places to hang out and relax, both inside and on roomy screened-in porches. Short walk to not-too-busy section of beach, short drive to touristy stuff and public beach accesses. These beaches, and this rental, are dog-friendly, which made our stay a lot of fun. Owners were very accessible and responsive. Would come again.

The home and host are excellent - eclectic styling, and comfortable. The location is perfect for walking the dunes to the beach or even down to the inlet for salty fishing. The neighborhood was quiet and friendly - lots of 'hellos' and 'good mornings' :)

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this rental. It was very convenient and we walked on an established trail thru the dunes to the beach almost every day. Quiet neighborhood. Relaxing in screened porch was so peaceful. Lots of room and plenty of storage in the house. The extensive beach decor collection was fun to look at. We ended up not bringing our dog on the trip but the house is set up to be a wonderful, doggy-friendly place.

Our group consisted of two families of 5 plus two dogs. The location was so convenient with a beautiful walk to the beach. The beds were comfortable and we loved all the spaces that allowed us to sit together in large groups. The owners were so accessible and helpful! We had a great trip!

My family had a great vacation in this dog friendly house. Plenty of room and great owner to deal with. I have no problem recommending this property to others looking for a large home near the beach.

Our family had a great time. We had 12 of us ranging in ages from 17-73. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The beach is a walk through the dunes that grandma wouldn’t be able to do, but it was easy enough to drive her down the street to public access. Communication with the owner was great. I would definitely recommend

This old-style house has lots of different spaces for togetherness AND privacy. It is not shiny and clean like a slick condo, but it is open and large, several porches, perfect for our families with teenagers, aunts and uncles, etc. Host immediately responded to all requests. East Beach neighborhood growing, but still more laid back than closer to town.

The property had plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. The location was great & the owners were super helpful. The walk to the beach is a little long & not a straight shot but that is stated in the rental info. The house needs a good dusting/deep cleaning. Other than that it was perfect.

My fiance and I came down with our family to get married. The property was exactly what we needed. Close walk to the beach, great house, and excellent communication with the owner. We plan on coming back.

Two families with a combined 10 guests, had a great visit and loved the house. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare full meals each night, the beds were very comfortable, and we had two great options to get to the beach. The walk through the dunes is beautiful, and we also cycled 5 or so blocks to the easy 15th st public access. I hope we’ll be able to rent here again!

We had a great stay at this property. The owners, Gena and Mark, were super responsive, helpful, and nice. The location is outstanding for heading to the beach, as there are multiple routes to the various beach areas. We greatly appreciated the property being dog-friendly, both inside and out. Overall, this was a great choice for our family.

Perfect location in quiet, walkable neighborhood. Beach was a short walk over the dunes, beautiful marsh for sunset viewing and bird watching is two or so blocks away and beach/marsh loop is easily doable even with children. Porches for the win. Be sure to look carefully at the double doors and their beautiful hinges on the lower porch. Some hiccups- overall great.

House was in quiet neighborhood close to beach. Plenty of room. Lots of closets.

Cute house, covered all of our needs for location we needed. Walk to beach is long and over couple dunes. Was not a problem for us, but would suggest different access to beach if you were hauling young ones or things you might take to make a day of it. There are indeed at least two access spots a short distance away that would be easier. Having a fenced back yard was especially nice feature for us to take advantage of. Up and down screened porches were very enjoyable, with one evening being pleasant enough to sleep in bed on upstairs screened porch. Large bedroom upstairs with access to porch, tv & ensuite was a great bonus space to have. The glass top table in den had to be cleaned, as did debris that had been overlooked in master shower/sink areas. Overall an enjoyable stay with attentive owners.

We had a fun, relaxing week! It was perfect for a getaway with the dogs and the fenced yard was great. Easy walk to the beach and loved the neighborhood!
