Our family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed our week in Oak Bluffs. The home had everything we needed, and was a quick bike ride to the gingerbread cottages & town. The backyard was spacious and we enjoyed coffee on the deck every morning. Thank you, John and Patty, for sharing your home with us.

Myself and my girlfriends had a wonderful stay on Dreamers Way. The home was a perfect location - just a mile walk outside of Oak Bluffs which made it easy to get back and forth to explore. The kitchen was stocked full of everything you could need to make home cooked meals. Can’t wait to come back again!

Stayed to run the Martha’s Vineyard marathon and half marathon 2023 for a girl trip (5 gals). The house was a perfect location, walking distance to town and race (less than a mile). The house itself is exactly as listed with numerous beds, open living space for all, large kitchen area. Would definitely return to this house!

The hosts, John and Patty, were great! Their home is immaculate and equipped with everything that you might need. The beds were so comfortable, and each room was adorable. They have a nice deck and spacious private backyard. The town is just a short walk away, but there are plenty of Ubers if you don’t want to walk. Stay here! You won’t be disappointed!

The house was perfect for our stay. We were 8 women on a girls trip. Hosts were wonderful, answering our questions quickly and even letting us check in early. Great location in Oak Bluffs. Highly recommend.

We had a great time staying here. The home was beautiful and had great indoor and outdoor space (the back deck and yard are both phenomenal). It was quiet, but a very close drive to the Oak Bluffs area. We would definitely stay again.

We had a nice week in OB at this home. Owners were very responsive. We were a group of 4 adults and 4 children and the overall space of the home was sufficient. The kitchen itself is a bit tight but we made do. The adults ate out on the nice deck while the kids ate inside at the table. We grilled a few times and it worked well but it could use a good cleaning or replacement. The beds were all comfy and the ac's did a good job of cooling the entire place. The AC's in the three smallest bedrooms need a bit of cleaning or replacing though. The house is in a great location, great little neighborhood close enough to everything. You can walk to OB but I recommend a car anywhere you stay on the island to explore. It's a beautiful island. I would recommend this home.

This Oak Bluffs rental was a great find. There is a generous amount of beds, the kitchen is well-equipped, there is comfortable seating in two areas, the dining area is an adequate size, the bathrooms are clean and updated, but our favorite features of the house are the outside deck with patio furniture (we spent 90% of our time out there), the four bicycles, and the wonderful outdoor shower. That was the shower that we all jockeyed for. There is a generously-sized changing area adjacent to the shower so there's no need to run into the house wrapped in a towel. Sure, you have to provide your own linen but it was no big deal since we rented from Martha's Linen Rental on the island. The bedroom with the queen-sized bed is in a loft-type room. My husband preferred one of the traditional bedrooms but I loved the loft room - it is a generous size, there's lots of storage space, and it has its own a/c unit. John and Patty are excellent hosts. They were very communicative, and they are very generous with amenities - there is a washer and dryer in the basement - a very open and clean basement - as well as beach toys and other recreational items. As you've read, "generous" is the theme of this house. Having rented a lot of vacation properties, I found the cost of this rental to be beyond fair in value. Thank you, John and Patty. I don't know when we'll back on the island, but when we do decide to return, we'll look you up again.

The property is accurately described and the owners are very responsive. Checking in was also easy and the house is tucked away on a quiet street. The house has everything a family needs for a quality visit. A couple suggestions for first time visitors: 1) If you are only there two or three days you don’t need a car. The house is about a fifteen minute walk to town and five minutes by bike. We did the walk and/or biked several times every day during our visit. Oak Bluffs is a great place to eat and shop and it can be done on foot or by bike. We usually took an Uber into town during the evening. 2) if you plan to stay more than two or three days, I recommend bringing your car. I was not able to bring a car because I had no idea that you must book a spot on the ferry at the end of JANUARY for a Saturday arrival and departure in the summer. I highly recommend that you book a spot on the ferry the first day they start accepting reservations so you can explore other parts of the island. There is a shuttle and Uber on the island, but a car would have made our trip so much more exciting and enjoyable. 3) You can get a cab from the ferry terminal to the house for about $24. A cab to South Beach will cost about $50. We could not get the Uber app to work from South Beach. There is the shuttle, but that may not be enjoyable with young kids and all your beach stuff. If you drive to South Beach, there are plenty of parking spots and parking is free. 4) I booked the Seastreak ferry out of New Bedford. This is more expensive than the Steamship Authority, but there is minimal traffic and it was very easy traveling to/from the island.

Very clean cottage, 5 minutes from a tennis court, 7 minutes from the center of Oak Bluffs, off street parking. Recommended property.

Four adults spent four days here. The house was spotless and well-equipped. The beds were comfortable. The deck furniture and back yard were great for morning coffee. We played the games provided every evening. We made good use of the four bikes available. Easy enough to hop on one and go to Tony's Market which had everything we needed. We did not have a car and walked the mile to and from town at least once a day. We cut through the pretty cemetery getting to know the "residents" and then traveled into the Camp Meeting Association giving us ample time to admire the gingerbread houses. John and Patty emailed to make sure we had gotten settled in okay and let us know they were available for questions. We would definitely recommend this house!

We stayed at this property for a girls weekend getaway recently and it was perfect. This was our first stay in MV and John and Patti were so helpful in providing us with information and recommendations. They also were so responsive to my many questions I had. The house was perfect and very clean and organized. The yard was beautiful and the location was in a safe, quiet neighborhood that was a perfect location to anything you needed to get to. Very comfortable and clean. Easy walk to Oak Bluffs. Nice backyard with a spacious back porch. Comfortable beds with plenty of space. This location is an easy place to return.

Perfect place to relax after running MV Half Marathon. The home was neat and clean. The yard was spacious and had nice outdoor furniture. The hosts were attentive. Definitely recommend this property and hope to return soon.

We stayed at this lovely home for a family wedding. It’s a short walk to Oak Bluff in a nice quiet neighborhood. The house is perfect for a family of 4-6. As a family of 4 traveling, the house provided everything we needed. The owners were very responsive and helpful. Definitely would stay again.

House was nice. Had a few issues, but nothing major. Wish there were TV’s in the bedrooms.

Beautiful home. Outside light was out and it was very dark at night. Had to bring your own towels and sheets which was understandable because of covid.

Patty and John's house was a great home base for my family's annual Martha's Vineyard long weekend. It had plenty of indoor and outdoor space- we spent most of our meals on the deck, which is large and well-equipped for dining. The yard is pretty contained and was great for my two toddlers to roam around safely. The outdoor shower is awesome! Very large and has a changing area so your clothes and towels stay dry. Indoors, the kitchen has everything necessary to cook family meals. We had plenty of space for our family with the four bedrooms, which were all nicely decorated and had good quality mattresses and pillows. The entire home has tasteful decorating and feels very welcoming, not like a rental property where minimal attention is paid to décor and quality. That really stood out to me- I have stayed in many places that feel very basic, and where attention to detail, upkeep and quality furnishings, cookware, even cleanliness etc is lacking because it is a rental. This home has quality furnishings, mattresses, silverware, etc and attention to detail and desire to make it comfortable and clean for guests is apparent. The space is wonderful and the owners are very attentive and easy to communicate with, should you need to. They were also very flexible around check-out which we very much appreciated, traveling with small children. Close to OB, restaurants, and walkable to Tony's market which was great when I wanted to bring my son for a stroller ride and get a coffee after he woke at the break of dawn...Would recommend this home to anyone looking for a large, centrally located and comfortable home away from home!
