We stayed for 3 nights, attending a wedding. Everything was great! Just one suggestion, trm back the shrubs lining the driveway as it was difficult to open car doors.

We loved our time at Niagara on the Lake. The location was perfect for our adventures. Overall, the cleanliness of the place was good but the slipcovers could have used a cleaning as well as the downstairs bathroom. The kitchen was well supplied and we had plenty of room to be together.

What a gorgeous historic house. We loved how you kept the charm of it intact, while providing enough modern conveniences to not make it challenging. The yard could use a little love (the vegetation needs a little trimming). The outdoor dining table has one leg that’s holding on by a thread. Maybe just fix it or replace it? Other than that it was a wonderful property.

Extremely clean & fresh; well organized & stocked; tasteful decor. We didn't need much but there was a convenience store within 2 blocks. Quick responses from Ms. Luisa. Property was nicely kept. I would've liked to stay longer (and 10/10 would book again when returning to the area). Area felt safe and we enjoyed being a five minute walk from the busier areas. Reviews are really based on personal preferences and traits - as someone who values planning ahead, clean uncluttered environments and warm atmospheres, this property felt like home to us. Really cute and suited our needs perfectly. Thank you 🙏

Overall we had a great stay! The location is unbeatable, perfect for walking to old town downtown area. Cottage was beautifully decorated and offered everything as promised in the ad.

Nice cottage in the perfect location. Loved the 1800 period look with modern conveniences. Enjoyed having coffee on the front porch away from the Main Street, but only it is only a short walk away.

We had a lovely stay here - very clean, charming decor and just a few blocks from the center of town. The check in was a wee bit stressful since we didn't obtain the keycode until we called just before 4 pm. But Luisa did call us after I sent an email and she was very friendly. Had a bit of ant problem on the 2nd floor in the bathroom from a small hole in the ceiling. Was able to fix the problem with duct tape that was in the home. Luisa was very responsive and although she couldn't get anyone out to the house before we left, our duct tape did the job for the duration. Really appreciated how close this house was to town.

We spent four nights at the Swinton Cottage and found it to meet all our needs. The house has a great location three blocks from Queen Street and all the Play venues, restaurants and shopping. The house is on a quiet street and has off street parking. The host checked on us to make sure we were satisfied with everything during our stay.

It's a lovely cottage, with all the amenities you'll need. And it is only a short walking distance to downtown Niagara-on-the-Lake and the Shaw Festival. We hope to return someday.

2 words...blown away! What a jem! Everything we needed forstaying and even cooking meals, such a short walk to town. Pictures dont do this place justice. We would definitely stay here again.

This place was beautiful with a front porch perfect for drinking coffee and watching the dogs walk by on the sidewalk out front. The inside is pretty and peaceful. The only thing I would mention for renters that care about this is that the beds are all very FIRM. The location is 2 blocks from the Main Street and perfect walking distance to anything. Great place!

We had a great stay for our first trip to the Niagara area! The house was clean and perfect for our family of four. The house had nice amenities and was in a quiet area. The location was convenient to all the Niagara attractions and within walking distance to a friendly, quaint downtown. We recommend staying here and hope to come again.

The cottage provided a very pleasant stay for myself and my friends, with a 2 minute walk bringing us to the downtown strip. We would definitely rent this cottage again.

This is a lovely cottage in a great location. I'm not a really fast walker but I can get to Festival Theatre in 10 minutes; less to the George. Lots of essentials provided. Quiet and calm and peaceful....hope to stay there again.

Wonderful cottage, close to downtown Niagara on the Lake and nearby vineyards. Perfect location for our two night stay with elderly parents.
Property was clean and equipped as advertised... delicious coffee provided by the host was a nice touch.
Comfortable beds and furniture. The AC was fantastic keeping the main floor and loft comfortable .
We all really enjoyed our stay and look forward our next stay at the Swinton Cottage.

We loved our time at this cottage - it was quaint, VERY clean, spacious and well stocked. The location was perfect for going into town easily and also allowed us room to relax at home as we wanted. We would 100% stay here again! A few small tips for future stays: add the check-in details to the VRBO app for a bit of a smoother process and add a small paper with WiFi password in the house to easily find it. The downstairs bed could use a mattress topper and the porch furniture could use a small update to make it a bit more comfortable for hanging out there! Lastly, would love full size wine glasses since were in wine country, but also loved the touch of the old school glasses! And we LOVED the huge DVD collection - such a fun touch!

This is a very nice place and well equipped. Read the listing carefully as it is not a 3 bedroom, it is a 1 bedroom with a loft and a den with pull out couch.

We were two parents and one teen and the property was perfect for us- we gave our teen son the upper floor and we took the downstairs. The kitchen is really well equipped and you can easily walk to both Shaw theaters. Definitely recommend. Use the phone # for Luisa listed on the property description- we couldn’t locate the checkin instructions on the VRBO site.

Quaint property great location. I would suggest the upstairs loft be advertised for children due to the slanted ceilings. Any adult would hit their heads sitting up in bed. The Living area was lovely and altho small the kitchen and pantry were well equipped. My biggest complaint would be the beds. The back porch room bed is a springy pullout but has room for a proper bed and the other beds were ok. If you want location off the main drag this was great. Front porch wicker furniture needs to be upgraded so guests don't feel like they are going to break it and the white dried paint chips off on your clothes.

This was our first time using an Air-B-B and we were very impressed. It won’t be our last, and we plan to come back to the Swinton Cottage.

Great location, nice house.
House was well equipped however we would like to have had full size red wine glasses as we took advantage of the many fine wineries in the area. Owner was nice and easy to work with prior to arrival from US.

Inside was clean but outside needs work
I thought overall the property was well represented on VRBO. The pictures and description was accurate and the property management was very responsive. The VRBO app didn’t work properly and I couldn’t get any instructions to check in. After lots of effort I was able to message the property manager and received a response immediately with a phone number to call and was able to get good instructions. The place was clean and comfortable inside but the outside was a mess with undesirable patio furniture, weeds and bushes were severely overgrown, and the deck and fencing was in rough shape. It needs some TLC.
