All i can say is that was just perfect my stay at Harvey`s apartament. Brand new apartament`s interiror, so clean and tidy, the reception that we had was fenomenal and the location is the best in Rio, close to a big supermarket, shopping mall, 2 or 3 blocks from the beach and surrounded by bars and restaurants. I trully recomend.

We had the opportunity to stay in Skip's condo in the Leblon area of Rio over the New Year's period and it was everything as promised. The area was very nice and close to the beach. There was a 24 hour grocery store within one block that was priced well and had all the provisions we would need. Skip had provided some snacks, beer and wine to welcome us and they were most appreciated. We found some outstanding restaurants all within walking distance and, although you always need to aware of street crime in any major city, we never felt unsafe. The unit itself was nicely appointed and accommodated two couples. It has TV that we didn't watch, phone and internet that we did use, nice dishes, glassware, cooking utensils...etc. The washer/dryer came in handy so we could take clean clothes to start our cruise. The building itself is very secure being gated and with a 24/7 security guard and all of them were very helpful. Skip sent in cleaning staff half way through our stay and then his rental manager met us upon our departure. We would recommend this place to anyone. One suggestion (although not a big deal) is to de-clutter the clothes closets in the bedrooms. The bedding/blankets did make it a bit difficult to hang our clothes. It was a great stay in an interesting city. Take some tours...well worth doing.

My group and I stayed at this location during the 2016 Rio Olympics. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our entire length of stay. The apartment was in a great location, close to the beach, metro, eateries and mall. The apartment was very clean and offered great amentaties. I will definetly try to stay here again the next I'm in Rio.

The property was very clean with modern conveniences. The subway station, bus services and the beach were in walking distance. The neighborhood was very affluent and safe and the property was very secure with 24 hour gated protection. We were here for the Olympics and it truly made our stay enjoyable and memorable and we would come to this property again on our next stay to Brazil as the owner was very personable and made sure that we had everything we needed, including complimentary champagne and free international and domestic calls. We were able to rent bikes on the beach and rode them to Copacabana without any issue and a number of cafes and restaurants were in walking distance. If you don't speak much portugese we found an online translator that converted a sentence from English to portugese which helped from ordering food to asking for directions. Try Leblon and this property! You will love it!

I cannot say enough great things about this place! Having never used VRBO before, I was honestly very skeptical. However, this place exceeded my every expectation. The location was perfect - a 2 minute walk to the beach and near tons of fun restaurants and bars. It was a very clean and safe neighborhood, and the apartment itself was awesome, very spacious, and extremely comfortable. We fit 4 adults very easily. Skip was a pleasure to work with! He was very responsive and so caring. I would without a doubt stay here again - hopefully when I get a chance to visit Rio again :) Thanks, Skip, for making our stay in Brazil even more amazing!

Wonderful Condo. Has all the amenities! Great Area!. Taxi stand just up the street across from the grocery store. Many restaurants in walking distance. Owner Skip was extremely helpful answered all our questions in great detail. (Our first time using VRBO and PayPal) His assistant Edna met us and made us feel at home. Her computer converted our English into Portuguese. Fridge was stocked with startup supply of OJ/Milk/Water/Beer. Coffee bar setup. We were very pleased with our stay. If in RIO would stay here again.

We feel so comfortable staying here; the apartment is perfect for us and the neighborhood is great. It is right in the heart of Leblon, near to bars and restaurants, shopping and the beach! Cannot wait to return. Thanks again

Safe, clean and convenient, a short walk from the beach where we enjoyed the gorgeous sunsets every evening. The apartment is very well furnished and equipped - it is not large, but it was very comfortable for me and my 3 young adult children, and it had exactly everything we needed, exactly where we expected to find it. Skip is a wonderful landlord - he was extremely accomodating and welcoming and he gave us great recommendations for neighborhood restaurants and highlights, including vegetarian recommendations. He is a great ambassador for a warm and wonderful city. We did all the things that tourists do, enjoyed them all, and were so happy to come home to our comfortable flat every evening. Fast wifi makes planning and communication easier. We felt lucky to have found the perfect spot to build family memories.

Our women's paddling team stayed in Skip's apartment for 9 nights in August 2014 and it was absolutely fantastic! The short daily walk to and from Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas for our racing events was perfect. The neighborhood includes a large, convenient supermarket, shops, restaurants, and a school nearby. Leblon Beach is a short, pretty walk in the other direction and Shopping Leblon (a huge high-end complex) is just a few blocks away. We felt safe and secure. The apartment looks exactly as it is pictured - it is comfortable, clean, has maid service, and the free Vonage phone which allows guests to call home is the icing on the cake. Skip allowed us to come in early after a long overnight flight and stay a bit later before our return flight. We truly loved the whole experience and would recommend it to all other travelers.

Stayed here for 9 glorious nights early August. Safe, comfortable, fabulous. This is the best choice for a stay in Rio. Supermarket nearby, great places for food and drink. We were there for a paddling competition and some of the others at the competition stayed at Copacobana and did not have the same experience. Skip was helpful ...the best host ever.

Our family of 4 stayed at Skip’s apartment for 12 days during the World Cup final. The accommodation was perfect for us. The apartment was in a secured building and high-end neighborhood with a couple of large grocery stores and several nice restaurants within a short walk. Leblon beach is only 3 short blocks away. We felt safe to walk around the neighborhood in the evening. Skip and his assistant, Edna, were fantastic and extremely helpful during our stay. Among other things, when learning of our late arrival (midnight), Skip arranged for breakfast items in the fridge for us, so that we didn’t have to look for things in our first day in Rio – we didn’t make any request for that in advance and greatly appreciated Skip’s hospitality. We highly recommend Skip’s place and would definitely stay there again when we go back to Rio.

We were so relaxed and comfortable at Skip's apartment. It was spacious and organized including very important ceiling fans and AC when staying in Rio. We were there with our young children, ages 3 and 6, and they loved the play area outside by the pool where they played and swam every day. The location is in the best neighborhood filled with beautiful trees walking distance to many options for restaurants including Lagoon on the lake and of course a few short blocks to the beach.
