We had a very nice stay at this rental. The description was accurate, and the owners were very helpful. We loved the bocci court and pool table, and the views were great. We would highly recommend.

We had an amazing time at this little slice of Heaven! Located on a private road, overlooking a beautiful cove, this house matches the description given by the host. We had everything we needed to make this a comfortable stay, as we spent a week exploring Mount Desert Island and Acadia. This property was located an hour from Bangor Int Airport, 20 minutes from Ellsworth, a 15 minute drive to Bar Harbor, and a 20-30 min drive to Jordan Pond House. It was a quick drive to and from everywhere we wanted to go - we never felt like we were in the car too long. Kitchen and bathrooms are stocked with the essentials, so we chose to cook multiple nights using their things. They provided a binder full of information and directions about things to do in the area. A majority of their windows are screened, so you can have the windows open without worrying about bugs. They have a nice little table on the back deck where we played many car games. The only thing I would note is that if you sleep in the loft, there are skylights. So during the summer months where there is an early sunrise, you might consider an eye mask to sleep longer. The hosts were kind, helpful and responsive. It was truly a hidden gem! We will be back!

Our family of 5 had a wonderful stay at this beautiful guest house! The setting and property can't be beat! You MUST make a point to be there to catch at least one sunset during your stay! We caught a glimpse of it on the night we arrived, and then the weather didn't cooperate during the rest of our stay. Communication was great before our check-in, and Ralph came over to welcome us upon our arrival. When we asked if there might be a cooler we could use when traveling into Acadia, he wasted no time in bringing over not one, but two! The home was clean, and had everything we needed. The location was great for our outings to Acadia, Bar Harbor and Southwest Harbor. We also enjoyed playing bocce ball in the yard!

We had a fabulous time and Ralph and Judy’s suggestions were perfect! Beautiful view of the Cove where we saw special sunsets. We felt that we got an excellent experience of Maine and Acadia here and part of that was the warm hospitality of Ralph and Judy. If you want to visit Maine, we would highly recommend their home!

It was a nice set up for our family vacation in Bar Harbor. Good space for a family. Owners were very welcoming and helpful with any questions. House is ideal for someone looking to explore both Bar Harbor and Southwest Harbor area.

What a wonderful property, perfect location to experience everything Acadia has to offer, and fabulous hosts. And an added bonus of beautiful sunsets from the back porch. Judy and Ralph are gracious hosts and provide great recommendations. The pool table and games are great extras for pre-teens/teens. Highly recommend!

We thoroughtly enjoyed our beautiful trip to Maine from Michigan. Ralph and Judy were so helpful and courteous, offering advice on restaurants, biking trails, and anything we needed to make our stay perfect. The house was very clean and had everything we needed!

Relaxing cottage with great views and sunsets Accommodating to the children with games and toys. Fully stocked kitchen. We were initially concerned about privacy being that the owners Ralph and Judy live right next to the cottage and can see into the windows but turns out they were nice and gave us our space. Also they were friendly and gave recommendations on where to eat and hike in the area.

Well, the Maine weather didn't cooperate but we still had a great time. Ralph and Judy were great hosts and their home was exactly as described. It was very comfortable for our party of 5 and I would definitely rent from them again. Great location a short drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor but quiet and tranquil when you want to be away from the crowds.

Judy & Ralph’s cottage was exactly what we needed! Close to Bar Harbor dining and Acadia’s hiking adventures. The house itself is exactly as presented online (but with even better views) spacious but also cozy. Highly recommend!

A quiet retreat with everything we needed.

Comfortable accommodations, sublime scenery (& sunsets!) from the deck, helpful, knowledgeable hosts. Judy & Ralph are kind and amiable. We felt at home.

This was our fifth time in Acadia, but it was the first time we stayed somewhere other than Bar Harbor. Judy and Ralph's place was magical. From the view to the wide open spaces to explore, we had such a good time. Everything was as described in the description. We hope to come back.

Spent a short week exploring the Bar Harbor area. Acadia and downtown Bar Harbor were easily accessible. The house was perfect and the view was spectacular!

Our stay at this VRBO was so enjoyable! Judy and Ralph did a good job communicating before we arrived and were friendly and helpful throughout our whole stay. Our cottage was super clean, a great size for four, and we especially enjoyed the game room for playing pool! The setting was glorious — surrounded by trees but a great view of the cove. The deck was perfect for viewing the gorgeous sunsets. We saw deer, a wild turkey, and heard an owl on two nights! Perfect place to stay while exploring Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park!

My wife and I and our daughter and son-in-law spent Labor Day weekend at this location. It entirely met our expectations as far as facility, location and price for our planned weekend. Judy and Ralph are gracious and thoughtful hosts who made our stay a pleasure. Very highly recommended.

We stayed at the cottage for a week. The hosts were so helpful, and had thought of every detail to make our stay pleasant and easy. The cottage amenities made it a very comfortable stay, and the scenery couldn't be better. We will return!

We had considered spending a ridiculous amount of money to stay at a hotel in Bar Harbor, but a last minute cancellation gave us the opportunity to stay at this lovely property for a lot less. The views and grounds are beautiful, and the location is fantastic - everything on the island is max 20 minutes away, and you get to enjoy the peace and quiet of being away from the crush of tourists and cruiseniks in central Bar Harbor. Our hosts were welcoming and friendly, but also non-intrusive. Would love to stay here again!

I honestly wish anywhere we traveled from now on that we could just take this house and Judy and Ralph with us. It was absolutely perfect. The location is wonderful. Away from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor but you’re just a quick 15 min drive in yet you feel completely secluded. You’re also 15-20 min from just about an part of the park on the island. The best lobster we had the entire trip is also right up the road! The home is fully stocked with everything you’d need; Judy & Ralph are right next door too if you do need anything. Judy and Ralph are wonderful hosts as well. They’ll great you when you arrive and give you the run down and the history of their home. I really wish we had had more time to sit and chat with them as I’m sure they have wonderful stories! We will definitely be back and hope to stay here again soon!

Gorgeous piece of heaven in Bar Harbor! Our hosts were amazing and kind, making sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The property is clean and very well maintained. The views are incredible. Outdoor space was very nice for dinner and reading. Highly recommend this property!

The house was perfect for our needs and there were wonderful sunsets right in the backyard. Judy and Ralph were great hosts and they truly appreciate sharing advice when it comes to everything Acadia and the surrounding area has to offer. We had never been to Maine but after this trip the whole family is excited to return.

Judy and Ralph have a great location overlooking a salt water cove and a wonderful “cottage” next to their house. They supply more information about Mt Desert Island than you’ll ever need, and if there something missing they’re usually around to fill in any gaps. All this with privacy and great amenities.

The property is lovely and quiet, yet right near Acadia and Bar Harbor. The hosts are accommodating and gave us great recommendations on activities and dining. I recommend this cottage.
