My family and I really loved our stay!

Second time staying at this house. Great beach and the Lake is fantastic with its very gradual and sandy depth. The house has everything one needs. Plus- lots to do nearby. We’ve already signed up for next year.

We loved our time here! the location at the end of the street was perfect and most of our time on the beach was spent in solitude. The views from the house were incredible. Thankful to have the A/C bc we had a couple of hot days. The upstairs didn't cool as well as the ground floor so we definitely used fans upstairs on those nights. Otherwise the weather was incredible. It was a welcome break from the extreme heat of our home in the deep south. On cool nights we slept with the windows cracked and heard the sounds of the waves all night. The kids enjoyed the beach sand toys and the ping pong table. My only gripe would be at this price point I would expect linens and shampoo / shower soap to be included but at least that was communicated in the listing. We brought our own so it was fine. Overall, we would definitely stay here again!

Not only are the house and the location unbeatable, but the owners are hospitable and bend over backwards to make your stay a success. This was our first experience with Vrbo and we couldn't have been more satisfied.

Thanks for sharing your comfortable home! The kitchen was fully stocked and the views/beach access were awesome! We walked to the State Park and Cave Point, looked at the stars and watched the sunrise! Can’t say enough good things about this property - hope to stay here again!

Everything listed on the VRBO site is accurate. The home was perfect for our family of 11 including younger children. The sand toys were perfect for their ages and the outdoor shower helped with easier clean up. I would recommend the bucket of warm soapy water for foot dipping to help with sand in the house.I do agree with one of the other reviews stating that if a person were to have mobility issues, the sand embankment would be a challenge. The beach feels as if you are on the ocean. The property owner did accommodate our needs after the correspondence issues we had. Bill assured us this is not like him and will help with our next vacation. Yes, we want to go back! ❤️

What an amazing weekend in Door County. Wonderful house on a pristine beach. Being the last house before a huge state park was a huge bonus. We took long hikes and finished with beach walks. Cannot wait to stay again.

This is our second year staying at this fabulous vacation spot. The view is fantastic and morning coffee on the deck overlooking the beach is a great way to start the day! The fabulous beach and acres to the park cannot be beat. Recommend The Hitching Post and Chives for some dinners out. It is wonderful to be on the quieter side of the peninsula. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you need. Having the washer and dryer available is a definite bonus. The home is very comfortable and well laid out for a large family group. Bill is very easy to work with! We hope to be back again next year!

We could see Lake Michigan from any room - moon rises and sun rising were stunning. The beach was 100% sand and the lake bottom was sand also which made it fun for kids of all ages to play, run, and walk (my journeys were about half to 1 mile). The house ...wow! there were tons of games ( indoor and outside games). House was clean and spacious - 2 levels with windows facing the lake in every room. There was also foot access to trails in the state park which meant we didn't need to do much in the way of driving to find something to do. We are going back in 2023!

If you enjoy walks along the beach and swimming in crystal clear waters, you will love this location! In addition, there is so much to do in Door County for all ages . . . hiking, shopping, tastings, sightseeing. The week went by much too quickly!

There is so much to like about this stay it is hard to decide where to start. The beautiful well appointed home sets atop a 15’ bluff affording a constant beautiful view. The sandy beach below, though public, feels like your own private beach. The owner is totally attentive to your needs. Our three generation party had a wonderful time.

Lovely location and extremely well-equipped kitchen.

I just spent a week here with my mom and 2 friends. We woke up and had coffee on the porch overlooking the lake everyday. The view was spectacular. The house was great and had everything we needed for cooking. The location was wonderful we hiked into Whitefish Dunes twice and all the way to Cave Point park once.

Great location!! House was also great and set up well to accommodate several families. No real complaints as the beach was amazing as well as the views - couldn’t have been better. If it had to pick something to improve on it would have been the comfort of the beds. Most of the group thought the beds were not that comfortable. Again amazing trip and we are thankful for the opportunity!

The house was great and the view was fantastic! Being right on the trailhead to the state park was also a plus. The only minor downside was that to get to and from the beach you had to walk down and up a small dune which was too much for some in my family due to age / ability. However, the view from the deck was so wonderful, I'm not sure it mattered much. Would definitely recommend this place.

We had originally scheduled our family vacation for July of 2020, but needed to reschedule due to Covid since so much of the family was traveling from far away. The owner was very accommodating and able to reschedule us for August 2021 without any fuss. We really enjoyed our week at this house. The sandy beach right outside the back door is perfect for all ages. We spent hours relaxing on the spacious deck, playing table tennis in the garage, and doing puzzles in the living area. The location was very quiet and very convenient to Sturgeon Bay and the rest of Door County for day trips to explore. The house was comfortable and easily accommodated all twelve of us for sleeping, eating, and relaxing. We would definitely stay here again!

This property was absolutely perfect for our three generation family vacation! The location is outstanding, it far exceeded our expectations! The view is phenomenal and the easy access to Whitefish Dunes State Park is incredible. The game room got a lot of use and was a nice bonus. Although there were 10 of us the layout of the house provides privacy and space, we never felt crowded. The house itself is lovely and well maintained. Bill was easy to work with and very accommodating when we had to change our original booking due to Covid. We hope to return to this beautiful home next year.

This is a great property on the beach and down driveway to Whitefish Dunes State Park trails. A perfect spot for larger family with extra beds. The gas grill is brand new but the charcoal grill is not usable. Nice game room in garage- darts, ping pong and foosball. Beach chairs and umbrellas came in handy as we experienced beautiful sunny weather in the upper 80's most days. We hiked through Whitefish Dunes on several days with road trips to Fish Creek, Sister Bay and Baileys Harbor for lunch, dinner. Donny's Glidden Lodge is a nice supper club that is on water and very close to property.

We loved staying at this house for our family vacation. It’s right on the beach and kids loved playing out there. It’s a bit further away from other attractions on Door Peninsula, but the driving was manageable. The property manager was very responsive and helpful.

This place was fantastic. You couldn't beat the view with a stick. Would definitely stay here again.

Loved the house and location. Used Sand Dunes Park for easy access hiking and walks on the beach at sunset were the best. House is well equipped and well managed. We’d stay again in a minute!!!

We couldn’t have asked for more. We hit a bad week weather wise, but it didn’t slow us down. We had awesome together time inside this beautiful house. The view is nothing short of spectacular. I give it a 5 star rating. The owner called to see if we needed anything. We didn’t. It was sure nice of him to check.

This is one terrific house. It has a great open floor plan, beautiful lake views, easy beach access, perfect combination of privacy and togetherness for a family stay. We enjoyed the easy access to biking on the quiet side of the Door Peninsula, also enjoyed the ping pong and darts on a rainy day. The kitchen was well stocked, many great dinners on site. Perfect for an extended family week.

The whole family agreed it was a perfect week. It was so nice to have a beach that we all could walk to and it was all ours. We enjoyed kayaking, table games in the garage, miniature golf, horseback riding, drive-in movie, walks in the park, star gazing and moon risings over the lake, and just relaxing with a beautiful view.

The best thing about this house is its advantageous position on top of a sand dune overlooking Lake Michigan near countless recreational opportunities. The kitchen and living room have a wall of windows facing the water. There is a long narrow deck. The house is immediately south of Whitefish Dunes park, and we spent most of our time swimming in the warm sandy-bottom beach and kayaking back-and-forth between the house, Whitefish Dunes Park, Cave Point Park, and the boat ramp just to the north of there. I had a blast jumping off the rocks at Cave Point. We also enjoyed kayaking south to the creek mouth. It was easy to hike to the parks as well. We made a half day excursion to Clark Lake Beach, and my one and a half-year-old loved the warm, shallow water. The house was stocked with everything that we needed: folding chairs, beach toys, umbrellas, patio chairs, ping-pong, foosball, foam football, wiffleball set, grills, propane, dishes, cutlery, coffee maker, full kitchen including a dishwasher, radios, etc. Bill, the homeowner, even accommodated a special request, which we appreciated. We took his recommendation and had dinner one night at the nearby Hitching Post. Because of the coronavirus the restaurant only allowed dining al fresco, but that wasn’t a problem for us. They have a park-like patio area with a large fire pit, and the meal was excellent. The only caveat I have for prospective short-term tenants is that the house is well used. I mention it just so that reality might match expectations. Some of the window wells were dusty, and some of the fixtures in the house are apparently not new. I think, given the size of the house, its location on the Lakeshore, and it’s heavy use, the areas that are difficult to clean are more apparent if you really look for them. Everything is highly functional even if not completely up-to-date in terms of the latest styles. It’s also a multi-generation family house, and we enjoyed seeing some of the personal touches and personal items there. Overall, any minor deficiency is overwhelmed by the beauty and magnificence of the property on the Lake, it’s perfect location in Door County, and the thoughtful accoutrement provided by the landlord. We loved our stay at this beach house, and multiple members of the family are already talking about when we can make a return trip. Our family of four stayed for a week and hoped for a retreat from the anxiety of COVID-19. We could't have had a better experience. From the moment we walked got out of the car and were greeted with the spectacular view of Lake Michigan, we were instantly in vacation mode. The beach was perfect; despite clear erosion on the coastline, the property still offered plenty of sandy beach and there were days when our family was the only human occupants of the beach as far as you could see in either direction. The water was SUPER COLD the first two days, but the rest of the stay the water was clear and refreshingly cool. Sandbars meant the kids could safely wade pretty far offshore. The property's location could not be better. At the end of a quiet, beautiful street and adjacent to Whitefish Dunes State Park with trail access just steps away. My husband and I took early morning runs in the park and never saw another person! Sunrises were spectacular -- grabbing a cup of coffee and a blanket every morning to watch the sun rise was exactly what I needed after months of COVID anxiety and quarantine. We truly felt like we were able to have a peaceful pause. Although we pretty much stayed at the house for our trip, we did take a few excursions to hike Peninsula State Park (Eagle loop is spectacular and feels like you are on another continent), visit The Ridges in Bailey's Harbor, and get ice cream at Wilson's in Ephraim. It was a nice and easy drive and the house is well-situated to have access to all the touristy spots and towns without feeling like you have to give up a whole day for activities. The house itself was clean and comfortable, with beautiful lake views from every room. The beds were comfortable and certainly plentiful for our family of four (my five year-old son enjoyed having his pick of beds!). The kitchen was perfectly stocked and grilling on the charcoal grill every night on the sand with the lake as the view was outstanding. Main floor laundry and bath was very convenient for laundering beach towels and running up from the beach to use the bathroom. The outside shower was both very convenient in keeping the sand out of the house and a novelty for my son who opted to shower outdoors the entire trip and now wants an outdoor shower at home ; ) This was truly a trip that did not disappoint. Our host, Bill, was so easy to work with and responded promptly to my emails. We certainly hope to be back and had a hard time leaving.

The house was beautiful and well kept. Overlooks a beach on Lake Michigan with a view as impressive as the pictures. Proximity next to the state park makes it even more wonderful. Made for a delightful family get away. Thanks!

The house was perfect for our needs. 3 generations and all were happy. The view can't be beat and we loved listening to the waves crash. The kids loved swimming in the lake and it's a great spot to kayak and bike from! We would love to return for a future stay. Should note the beach is right there but was a little difficult for my parents in their 70s to get down to (remember you are on the sand dunes). But there was plenty of chairs in the yard to enjoy the view from. This was one of my favorite vacations and we were able to easily access the rest of door county enjoying beer tasting, wine tasting, bike rides in the state parks, and fishing at different harbors.

The title says it all, the location spectacular, hosts communicative, place clean and inviting. Prepare yourself for some amazing sunrises.
