Communication was spot on. Molly responded right away. We absolutely loved the location! We walked everywhere and if we needed to go further away we just Uber or Lyft. Really no need for a car. The place itself is beautifully decorated, plenty of dishes, cups etc. It was great having beach chairs available from the garage and hopefully next time we'll use the paddle boards with warmer weather! The space heater came in handy as we had a few chilly nights. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

We loved this little gem! Cute, quaint, and immaculate. Great location - so fast and easy to get to the beach, restaurants, and other San Diego attractions. The perfect size for the three of us on a mother/daughter get away!

We went back for a second stay. There's room to have friends over and sit outside on the deck and play cards and perfect location 50 steps to the bay with chairs and umbrellas and walk to great restaurants. It's perfect.

Great place. Really enjoyed our stay. It’s right next to the Catamaran, but it’s pretty quiet.

To start, I have to say that the location of this house is great; it's within walking distance of so many great places to eat, drink, and just hang out. In one direction, you're on the bay side, but head in the other direction and you're on the ocean. I would 100% book this location again. There are a couple of things I would like to note, though. 1) This is a duplex, we rented the lower half that has 2 rooms, one of the rooms is "upstairs", which I'm guessing is right next to the other upper unit; I was able to hear our neighbors throughout the night and that was kind of a bummer, but not anything that would keep me from booking again. 2) Finding the house was difficult - even using the recommended map app and I think a lot of that had to do with the gps just not really understanding where the house is, as you have to go down a small alley to get to the driveway. With that, I was able to drop a pin at the end of the alley instead of using the address and that worked out much better when we were venturing out and navigating back. Otherwise, our stay was great! The house really feels like the perfect little beach cottage. The owner has a binder full of recommendations for places to eat, drink and hike in the area and we actually used that way more often than we thought we would, it was so helpful! The owner was also very very helpful and super communicative! The whole experience was great, I would recommend staying here!!

This property is sandwiched between the main Mission Beach and Bay side near a resort. The property is run down, in need of some TLC, and a decent clean. The security is poor due to ill fitting front door, which had huge gaps around the frame. Property has a public access thru the small patio area to the Bay side which was used by locals. Upstairs was rented for a few days, quiet couple. Positive... excellent walking area. Beach side lots of good people watching. Negative... poor selection of mid priced restaurants. Hotel restaurants good food but small portions & overpriced. Garage door broken (not quirky as per instructions). Side gate off its hinges. We did enjoy the laundry facilities and having our own kitchen.

We loved our stay here - awesome location and the separate unit upstairs was great for breaking away to do some work while the rest of the family was downstairs. Will definitely stay here again!

The two units provided a perfect home for a week for our 4-adult family. The units are well maintained and stocked, and the location is very convenient for bay, beach, coffee and food. The patio was great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Mornings can be a bit loud with workers from the adjacent hotel but being early risers that didn’t bother us. Communication with Chaz and Molly was great, definitely a place to come back to!

We booked both units. We had a great time at this place. Very cute outdoor patio. Lots of beach supplies, the stand up paddle boards provided great entertainment. We walked to the bay and had coffee everyday, walked to the beach. Tons of restaurants and shops walking distance. Some of the cooking supplies needs an upgrade if you plan to cook. But other than that it was a great stay. We would book again.

On a positive note, super close to the bay beach which is super convenient. And, the welcome snacks and note were nice touches. However, I feel obligated to share some issues with property. First, I never received check in information. Rather, I had to call the contact and ask for checkin info. Typically, instructions for checkin would be sent day of arrival. When I called Shaz she gave me the info but later responded checkin wasn’t until 4pm. However, the VRBO site states checkin is 3 pm. Big issue… the site is actually 2 separate apartments, not one. So, it was suboptimal for our family. Bigger issue… super old and in need of major renovation. We stayed at a renovated property the week before and it was a let down to stay here. Biggest issue… while you can see the bay and sea world fireworks (which is cool), the property is adjacent to the maintenance area of a hotel and they start working (loudly) before 6am! Would not stay at this property again! With a renovation this could be a gem. Keith

This location was a perfect spot for our group, as it's nestled between the bay and the ocean. We could walk everywhere, which was great for having toddlers in the mix...we were also able to relegate the babies to the patio area, so they weren't stuck inside too long. Traveling with 2 families, the double level allowed us to each have our own spaces, but also congregate as a group. The only downside was the amount of construction in the area; clearly not the owner's doing, but noticeable nonetheless. That said, we will totally rent with Shaz again... great place.

The house was the perfect location for our short getaway. It came will all the amenities and suited our family perfectly. Looking forward to going back again.

This is the 3rd time we have used this property and it's terrific. Location is great, close to the bay and the ocean. Clean. Molly does a great job. Planning on staying here again.

This location was perfect for us. No more than 15-20 min from everything we wanted to do. Property is private and quiet but close to beach, bay, boardwalk and beer. Real friendly, relaxing vibe from this neighborhood. The property was clean and well stocked with the essentials. Highlights were the scooters and a visit to La Jolla cove to see the seals, oh and the SDRC of course!

If you don't mind scraping, scrubbing and washing EVERYTHING you need to use; then this is the place for you. Too many things to list. Owner never returned my call (made upon our arrival). Cleaning service (Mollys) did answer. Returned and made excuses for the filth. Cleaned our floor, changed the dirty pillow case and wiped the sand, dried food, etc. from the dining table. Entire place needed cleaning but Molly was in a hurry to get to a dinner engagement!!

This was a perfect location for us, since we enjoy staying on the Bay side. The weather was a tad windy/rainy and there was was a lot of construction noise on Mission Blvd every day during our stay, but the place was just right for our crew of 6 adults. Very comfy and beautifully appointed. A caution to anyone with mobility issues: the master bed in the 2 bedroom unit is best suited for you. The second bedroom has some fairly steep stairs (no handrail) and the one bedroom unit is upstairs. The unit is right next door to the Catamaran spa’s storage area, and they were a little noisy at times. Also, since we were there during graduation weekend, Saturday night was very loud (the unit is very close to the bars), but it quieted down at 11 pm, which was fine with us. There was a good selection of spices, a wonderful goody basket of treats in the fridge but some questionable coffee (expired Kirkland) left behind. Bring your own if you’re a coffee snob like we are! All in all, it was a great unit and we very much enjoyed our stay!

We had a great stay on Mission Beach. Shaz was quick to respond to our texts. The house was light and airy feeling, and well stocked, we actually used the kitchen for cooking and Ralph’s was easy to get to and pick up what we needed. The beds were very comfortable and we loved the pillows. Use of beach chairs, umbrellas and toys were very appreciated, sure nice not to have to try to bring them or buy them. The location was perfect. We enjoyed time at the bay and beach. We took advantage of renting scooters and found them to be a great way to get around and very fun! We loved how quiet it was at the house and how private it felt. The off street parking was kind of tight, but great to have. So glad this house was available.

Upon arrival, we were met with an unfortunate situation. A phone call to Shaz prompted an immediate response, and the situation was resolved and reparations were made. After that, we had a wonderful stay. The house is steps from the beach, right up against the Catamaran. The house is in a great location to visit all the shops and restaurants on foot. We also had a car, which we were able to park on the property. Parking is a huge bonus in that area of Mission Bay. We used the bikes frequently on the Bayside as well as the Oceanside, getting plenty of sightseeing in. We also used the paddleboards on the Bay, which was beautiful and relaxing. The house is well stocked and organized, and a nice layout for having several people. I would stay here again. Thank you Shaz and Molly.

We travel six persons and this was definitely a great standard for staying just a few days in San Diego. Our first jet-lagged night we managed to take a walk to close-by eateries and have a great dinner and our last night we gathered on the beach walk to see the fabulous sunset before regrouping to the house for pre-dinner drinks. Kitchen worked well, nice bedrooms and bathrooms worked well for us.

This is the second time we have stayed at this property and it's terrific. Location is great.Close to the Bay and the Ocean. It's nice to have parking spaces for two cars (3 if their compact). Small outside patio area was great for entertaining friends. Nice to be so close to the Catamaran Resort. Will definitely stay here again.

We were looking for a place to stay for our son's Marine Corps Boot Camp graduation. We had extended family with us, so needed a layout with at least three private bedrooms and room for all. We found that here, along with so much more! Mission Bay is in your backyard for quiet water time and a nice paddleboard excursion. Want to watch the sunset over the ocean and catch a busier beach vibe? Simply walk across the street, and you are there. The boardwalk offers food and other vendors, as well as a place to walk, bike, or scooter. The patio at the house was a perfect place to lounge, relax, and dine. We found everything clean, and ready for us when we arrived. Thanks for a wonderful time!

We had a family of four on the lower level and a couple with an infant upstairs. Everything worked well with easy access to the ocean and the bay

We have rented properties on tha Bay for tha last 5 years and this was the best.

This charming house has everything we were looking for! Great Location (bay & ocean & restaurants and Catamaran), SUP, boogie boards! We loved that the house was updated and had great amenities! Molly was very responsive and helpful too! We will be back!
