My husband and I were pleasantly surprised how wonderful this place was. Linda from day one was very friendly and accommodating to us. Gave wonderful recommendations to all the great food in the area. The location was just right amount of space for privacy, yet close enough to still walk to. It’s a bit of a climb but totally worth it if you want to burn off those gelato calories lol. We definitely want to come back again! We already miss it ~

We were looking for a laid back break in the middle of our 2 week trip to Italy, this was it ! Old farmhouse 1 mile from the closest town...again, perfect. Town had everything you would need. Restaurants, wine bars, shopping, grocery store...all charming. Old farmhouse with modern amenities including great pool. Fresh grapes, peaches, tomatoes and olives right outside our door. Linda was a great host, all was good. Will definitely return !

Linda is a wonderful host. The property is gorgeous. We promise to come back next year. Linda take care of yourself so that we can see each other healthy again next year.

Ideally situated for a holiday in the Chianti region of Tuscany. Good location for visiting Siena; Florence and Pisa.. In close proximity to the local town ( fifteen minutes walk albeit uphill ) with an array of restaurants to entice. Also a gelateria with ice cream sent from Heaven ! Truly amazing swimming pool with marvellous views over Tuscany, Linda was a friendly and helpful host kindly sharing vegetables from her garden with us and offering local information.

The property and apartment were beautiful with attention to every detail. The road to the farm was very bumpy/ripped up/ may cause damage to any low car. The owners were helpful and kind. The town of Castellina is beautiful and quaint. If you are planning to drive into Florence or Sienna, go very early, as there is NO PARKING to be found in either city.

We had an amazing time staying in Rosmarino at Godenano di Mezzo. The property is very peaceful and maintained perfectly. The pool with the view over the valley is also amazing. In the apartment we had everything we needed. Only a little bit more "working space" in the kitchen area would be a plus. Overall a fantastic stay and many thanks to Linda & family. We hope to be back someday!

We had a wonderful stay in Castellina in Chianti. Our apartment was really spacious with a beautiful view over the tuscany hills. The pool and its view are wonderful. It is perfect if you look for a quiet time and to relax. But it is also perfectly situated to visit Florence or even the sea for a day trip. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back some day. Thank you Linda!

This property is the perfect place to enjoy the beauty and serenity of Chianti. Roomy comfortable apartment with a patio of its own and plenty of peace and quiet in the gorgeous Chianti countryside. Just a short distance outside Castellina in Chianti, which besides being incredibly charming also has many conveniences like a market, laundromat, good restaurants and shops. Combine all this with a gracious hostess (Linda) and you have the makings of a perfect Chianti refuge. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED!

We loved our stay at Godenano di Mezzo. Linda was very accommodating, and the apartment is gorgeous. Beautifully decorated with attention to every detail, very comfortable bed, lovely views of the valley below and the surrounding vineyards and olive groves. It was a pleasure to do laps in the pool after a day out in the countryside, then kick back with a glass of Chianti Classico and enjoy the view. Linda shared some of her garden tomatoes and their own olive oil, which was delicious. She also arranged a wine tour to small local wineries which we loved. Very near the sweet town of Castellina, and an easy drive to/from Florence and Siena. Highly recommend!

We stayed here for 7 nights. Beautiful location and nice pool. We drove to many locations around Tuscany. It was great for day trips to Tuscany, Siena etc.

We had a wonderful time! The property is beautiful, surrounded by vineyards and olive tree orchards. The owners were super friendly always available to answer our questions and had lots of great recommendations on things to do and places to eat. There is a really delicious gelato place walking distance from the farmhouse.

We had a lovely stay at Godenano di Mezzo in Castellina in Chianti. Beautiful views, convenient location, clean accommodations and Linda was very helpful in her local recommendations. Communication was great throughout booking process. The property is very close to town which has great restaurants and is a great starting point for several day trips including Siena and Florence. First trip to Tuscany but hopefully not the last!

Stayed for a week, it was a great location for us to experience Chianti and also take day trips to Florence and Sienna!

Me and my husband just fell in love with this place!! It’s super clean, lovely decorated, the house and gardens are beautiful!! But the best of all is Linda and Gilberto, the hosts, they are the nicest people you’ll ever meet!! They gave us tips on where to go and what to do, and Linda shared us some fresh tomatoes, basil, rosemary and olive oil from her garden. It truly was an amazing experience, I left my heart there. Also, the property is very close to the lovely town of Castellina in Chianti, and also we were able to drive to some other medieval and beautiful towns as Siena, San Giminiano, Montepulciano, Montalcino, among others. (You will need a car to do this) the roads to all these towns are AMAZING!! You’ll get some of the best Tuscan views. We definitely will be back to this place!!!

My husband and I enjoyed three relaxing nights in this apartment on our drive through Tuscany. The Rosmarino room was spacious and comfortable with a great patio overlooking the valley below. Linda was kind enough to share some lovely produce from their garden and made sure we had everything we needed. Afternoons at the pool felt very refreshing after mornings sightseeing. We also enjoyed some lovely meals in Castellina in Chianti and an excellent gelateria down the street.

Linda was a great hostess. She made us feel right at home. The apartment had tons of charm but still had all the creature comforts. The garden on the property was beautiful as well as the views. The location is great & was perfect for our home base as we explored Tuscany. Linda arranged a wine tasting tour for us that was spectacular!

From the first email with Linda, and throughout the entire stay at beautiful Godenano di Mezzo, our expectations were exceeded. The blend of professionalism and warmth that Linda exhibits makes an amazing place to stay even better. Two of us stayed in the Lavanda suite, which was absolutely perfect. From the spectacular view and sunsets, to the beautiful gardens, orchards, sweet Otto, Leone, the falcons... my senses were filled the entire time. The nearby small town of Castellina is perfectly charming and filled with just enough good restaurants and stores that, although you'll want to explore all of Tuscany from this ideal location, you wouldn't need to leave the area if you didn't want to. This is a life enriching experience that I relive everytime I taste the delicious olive oil produced from the property. Thank you for everything!

We had a wonderful time! Linda is a great host and very helpful. We stayed in the Falco apartment and couldn't asked for anything better. Everything looks new! Great decor and comfortable beds. Awesome views! This is the perfect location to visit Florence, Siena, and surrounding areas.

We just returned home from the honeymoon of a lifetime in Italy, 7 days of which were spent in the "Falco" apartment which was heaven on Earth. Linda was so wonderful and greeted us as if we were already friends. The apartment was so cool with it's authentic feel and wonderful views. It was a great place to come back and relax after walking through Siena and San Gimignano. The private entrance was nice and it had everything we needed for the week. Castellina in Chianti was a lovely town that we ate dinner in each night - all the restaurants were amazing! Using Godenano as a starting out point, Linda gave us some great tips on traveling in the countryside as well as places to visit. My husband made friends with Otto and Leone quickly and we miss them as well as Linda already! We will definitely come back to explore the areas we missed on our first trip. Thank you Linda and family for you amazing hospitality and your beautiful piece of paradise!

We stayed in the Falco apartment for a week in May. The property was absolutely immaculate, and very thoughtfully supplied with everything we needed. Linda's gardens were spectacular with beautiful flowers and vegetables in profusion. The weather was cool, so we didn't get to use the pool, but it, too, was perfectly kept. Our bed was very comfortable, and the views from our windows over the olive trees and across the valley were something we'll always remember! In short, a beautiful place with a gracious hostess, with easy access to Sienna, Florence, and many historic hill towns. The village of Castellina in Chianti is a steep walk up the hill, and well worth the effort- we had two delicious meals in town, and the local gelato spot is a stand-out! We would definitely love to return!

We are a couple in our 70's who found the apartment Rosemarino as lovely and comfortable as represented in the photos. All reservation and payment requirements were completed professionally and in a timely manner. The mattress and pillows were so welcoming after a hot day of touring in the area. Linda is nothing short of amazing! She is the perfect hostess, anticipating our every need, sharing her time and knowledge of the area at any opportune moment while respecting our privacy and personal space. She offered suggestions, directions and honest opinions of the tourist attractions available. She even shared with us, her attempts to save the lives of 4 newly born hedgehogs found abandoned in her driveway. The pool/spa area is well maintained and available from morning to late evening. The only suggestion I might make is that plastic glasses be provided so guests can enjoy a glass of wine while reading poolside.

My husband, our 16 year old son, and I spent 6 nights in the Falco (Falcon) apartment in July. It's on the first floor, which in the US means the second floor. It's a spacious, sparkling clean 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom (1 ensuite), kitchen, and living room. There is also a lovely outside area with a picnic table just for those in the Falco apt. and a gas grill that looks brand new. Opening the windows allows in the magnificent views of the Chianti region: olive trees, vineyards, and the endless hills. With the open windows one also fully comprehends the width of the ancient stone farmhouse walls. This farmhouse is a treasure and a working farm, so it is a joy to use (and take home) their very own olive oil. The apartment was filled with anything one would need in the kitchen: utensils, plates, bowls, wine glasses, dishwasher, drying towels, utensils for the grill. We enjoyed making bruschetta every morning and one night my husband made a tasty dinner from items in the town, which we happily ate outside in our little piece of the Tuscan countryside. The pool is absolutely incredible: so clean and positioned so the Tuscan landscape surrounds one and one can happily gaze about either while swimming or sitting in the comfortable lounge chairs. The thick bath and pool towels are also a nice touch. We appreciated the location, between Siena and Florence, and had lovely times exploring both cities and the surrounding hill towns and restaurants. The town of Castellina in Chianti itself is a gem: delicious restaurants specializing in local fare, produce markets, cheese shops, wineries, butchers, and little cafes perfect for a morning cappuccino. We highly recommend this property and look forward to returning.

My husband and I stayed in the Lavanda apartment for 6 nights at the end of April/beginning of May. We had such a wonderful stay! The property is beautiful with the kind of views of Tuscany that you see on postcards. The online photos really don't do it justice. The apartment itself was very spacious and well kept. It had all the amenities we required for a comfortable stay. The town of Castellina is a short walk away with a good selection of lovely shops and restaurants. We found the farmhouse to be an excellent location from which to explore the region. Linda was an incredibly gracious host who's recommendations for activities and places to eat never steered us wrong! We also made two four-legged friends, Otto and Leone. We would definitely recommend this farm house to family and friends and are eager to return ourselves! Thank you Linda for sharing your bit of Italy with us!

We spent 7 nights in the Rosemary apartment in late September/early October, and it was a great experience. The apartment is spacious, nicely furnished and well equipped, and the views from the patio are outstanding. The town of Castellina is very handy for restaurants and food, and the location is convenient for day trips to the many scenic hill towns in the area. We especially grateful to Linda and Gilberto for their help when we had a problem with our car. We highly recommend this accommodation.

My son and I spent a week in the Falco apartment. Prior to our trip our emails/questions were always quickly answered. When we arrived at the farmhouse, it was even better than in the pictures. Parking was easy. Our apartment was on the top floor with two big windows overlooking the country side. The apartment was clean and it was fully equipped with dishwasher. The bed and sofa bed were comfortable. The Wi-Fi worked very well. Linda was definitely available throughout our stay. She gave us fruit/vegetables from the garden and some of their own olive oil. She was very attentive to our needs and recommended a number of day trips. We spent most of our time at the farmhouse and walked twice a day to the town centre. The walk to the town centre was about 15 minutes. The hill provides some cardio. We were able to pick figs from the trees and swim in the pool with an unbeatable view. The German Shepherd was a bit intimidating but Linda kept a close eye on him. We enjoyed our trip very much and will definitely recommend this farmhouse to anyone visiting the area.

We selected Godenano Di Mezzo based on the excellent reviews, and our stay did not disappoint, infact exceeded our expectations, it really is better than the website. We stayed in the Lavander apartment which was perfect, the renovations are beautifully done, with care and detail. Nice and private, the pool area is sensational, and the location in Castellina is ideal a great town, good restaurants, shopping, a supermarket and on Saturdays they have a local market which is fun. Easy access to all the highlights of Chianti and Tuscany, San Gimingiano, Volterra, Cortona etc. But the most important thing about any holiday is the people you meet, Linda and family where so lovely, made our stay even more special, delicious produce from the garden and chats, we thank you for a memorable time in Chianti, we hope to return some day. And a special mention to sweet Otto.

This was our second time at this farmhouse. The owners are very helpful and friendly. The apartment is perfectly clean and well maintained. The grounds and views are amazing. Linda does a great job with her beautiful gardens. We have felt extremely comfortable, and well taken care of. The location is wonderful for touring around either by bike or car. There is so much to see and do in the area. We would definitely consider making this an an annual visit.
