First of all, the hosts were the best we've experienced in all of our VRBO stays. We were met upon arrival and shown all the ins and outs of the property. The home was very well stocked with the necessities; coffee, tp, paper towels, etc plus a sampling of local treats. Very generous. There were more than enough reading materials to acquaint a visitor to both Albuquerque and New Mexico overall. We found many things to entertain us that we wouldn't have known about otherwise. The hosts went well above and beyond to make sure we had a good vacation. Possibly the biggest treat though was the entertainment furnished by all of the animals visiting the back yard. Rabbits arrived early, usually followed by deer, followed by birds. We had as many as 15 deer in the yard at once and they visited every day. Special sightings were a Coopers Hawk, who scared everything else away, but sat in a tree for 90 minutes. It must have been napping. On Thanksgiving morning, a lynx, I guess locally called a bobcat came and sat at the edge of the deck for a bit. Roadrunners and quails passed through every few days. Casa Sandia Peak comes with our highest recommendation, and we wouldn't hesitate to spend our next visit to Albuquerque there.

We had a wonderful stay. Beverly is the certainly the “host with the most!” The home alone is perfectly situated for an outstanding experience. The view is beautiful and encourages relaxation time outdoors. The rooms were very comfortable and the whole house is very livable. Beverly added to this by having great drinks pre-made for our arrival plus chips and homemade guacamole! Thanks for a great trip!

This is our second time to stay at the Abshere's VRBO in Albuquerque and it was great both times. I can't say enough good things about this home and the hosts. The home is in a great location: close to hike/bike paths, grocery stores (Albertson's and Smiths), restaurants, the Balloon Fiesta and other attractions. The home itself is nicely furnished and decorated, is well equipped and has amazing views of Sandia Peak and the tramway. We enjoyed the daily visits from the mule deer and birds in the back yard. Beverly is also a fantastic hostess; she makes you feel at home and has many great suggestions on things to do and places to see. We've also stayed at their VRBO in Palo Duro Canyon, which I highly recommend, too. Their VRBOs are exceptional and I've yet to stay in another VRBO that measures up to this. HIGHLY recommend!!

The property has an excellent view of the Sandia mountains. My companions and I spent many hours sitting in the backyard, mesmerized by the view and the wildlife.. The property has everything you could need and was located near the Tram, trails, stores, and yoga!

Extremely clean, well equipped beautiful property with endless unobstructed views! Private, quiet, great centrally located home to anything you might need!! The owners were extremely helpful, and very accessible for any questions! Wouldn’t stay anywhere else when we return to Albuquerque!!

This property exceeded our expectations. The view of Sandia Peak is beautiful . . .watching the tram travel up and down, the pink hues at sunset and sipping coffee in the cool morning air awaiting the sunrise over the mointain . . .spectacular. And the wildlife visitors---deer, bunnies, quails, birds----mesmerizing. Beverly was a fabulous hostess and the home very comfortable. I even managed to read a Tony Hillerman book I hadn't yet read from the home's extensive library.

My wife and I travel often and always rent homes. This is one of the best houses/hosts we have ever had. The house was well furnished and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. The views are magnificent. And Beverly and Philip were so gracious and accommodating, they bent over backwards to make sure we were happy. We visit Albuquerque regularly and from now on we will plan our visits around their availability. Wish we could give more than 5 stars.

My dog and I thoroughly enjoyed staying in the home. It was very comfortable and home was equipped with lots of kitchen items and household items. I didn’t have to bring anything from my home. The owner met us at the home to show me a few things. Home located in a quiet neighborhood. There is a bike/walking path right outside of the neighborhood as well as beautiful trails not far from home. Owner has lots of information/maps in the home and I enjoyed reading through the beautiful books they have on the state of New Mexico. The backyard has a gorgeous view of the Sandia Mountains. The backyard isn’t fenced and has a desert style landscape. Deer came by to visit each morning and evening. Great stay overall and I would love to stay again! Thank you Beverly & Phil.

We went for the balloon Fiesta and had a great even when not there! The house was great…….comfortable, clean and has everything you need to enjoy your time. Bev was great…greeted us with food and wine and made sure we knew what was important during our stay there. We had my brother and wife there for a few days and when they left another friend came for the last few days. It was great to sit outside and just enjoy the scenery and watch for the wild life that was always around. Would go back again if we get the chance!

My wife and I finally had the opportunity to come back to my hometown again after being away too long. We had to finding a new summer house has the residence we had rented for years was not longer available. We had the chance to stay at this wonderful home with the great view of the Sandias and amazing wildlife in the the backyard. We are looking forward to coming back next summer.

We stayed for two weeks working remotely and exploring New Mexico on weekends. Everything at this property is spot on. Well stocked up, high speed internet, spotless, comfortable beds, beautifully decorated, perfect patio set up, incredible views, and several steps to trails leading to the mountains and biking trails. Beverly, our host, was a wealth of knowledge and hospitality. She welcomed us with stocked up pantry, home made appetizers and breakfast scones! We had everything we needed on day one. Our dog has a blast too! Recommend to business travelers, couple vacation, family vacation, hiking and biking enthusiasts. Will come again!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Sandia Peak property. Sandia Heights is one of our favorite locations in New Mexico- close to everything but nestled up against the Sandias. The property has beautiful unobstructed views and is at the end of the street and does not back to a house which adds a level of privacy. We saw just about every kind of wild life in the yard- deer, coyote, quail, bunnies, and all kinds of birds. The property was a great size for us. Fully equipped house with full kitchen and all of the appliances you will need. Beverly and Phil are phenomenal hosts. They have created a very special southwestern property for their guests and provide top notch customer service should you need anything. We will absolutely book this property again when we return to New Mexico and highly recommend for others.

Even though you are in the largest city in New Mexico, you feel like you have the entire place to yourself. Only one close neighbor that you can’t see and beautiful unobstructed views of the mountains and the tramway! We will be returning!

From the very beginning we were treated like old “old friends” coming for a visit. Beverly told us everything there was to do around Albuquerque and the surrounding area, pointed out the best time to visit (we were coming for the Balloon Fiesta), and gave us websites that would help. Upon arrival Phil was waiting to welcome us and see if we had any questions. The home is perfectly located and beautiful...the pictures don’t do it justice! There was a beautiful basket with local information and goodies waiting as well as a bottle of local wine (Beverly had asked if we liked red or white) and local beers. Whether you were sitting inside looking at the mountains or outside, deer would walk by...so beautiful! I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend!

My wife and I shared this property with another couple for a week. The separate bed/bath, well stocked kitchen and spacious living area made for a very comfortable and enjoyable week. The mountain view, quietness of the neighborhood, and wildlife watching made sitting on the patio a real pleasure. Beverly and Phil were great and showed pride in their property and the ABQ area. They were accessible and ready and willing to help make our stay as enjoyable and trouble free as possible. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we were in the area.
