Started snowing day 1 and didn't stop hardly at all for the next 10 days. The house was exactly as described - actually, better - multi level and extremely spacious for our family of 6. We had all the comforts of home and then some - sauna, hot tub, pool table to name a few! Enjoyed so many features of a well-stocked house; huge kitchen/dining for cooking meals - loved grilling on the back deck and all the seating for tired skiers to lounge by the living room fireplace in the evenings not to mention the large bedrooms and comfy matresses.During the stay, the management team was on top of it - with the snow storm we mentioned firewood was running a little low one afternoon and by the next morning the entire cord was filled for us. We also had messages checking on us when we arrived as well as during the stay. Top notch customer service. Lastly, the location - if you're not at the resort itself - this is about as close as it gets. Coming out of the neighborhood to the main highway we could see the ski resort entrance - it made driving to/from Purgatory quick and easy (well... easy in winter as long as you have 4WD like it states very clearly for the property!) All in all one of our best stays at Purg - we can't thank Keith and all of his VRC team enough for their hospitality - LOVED IT!

It is at least 35 min from Durango so be prepared to be on the road a lot if you aren’t into cooking on vacation. I had read the reviews from last October so I knew there might be a fly problem and there definitely was. The property manager was very helpful though and brought fly swatters and sticky pads. Apparently the flies are bad from Oct-November. They appear in the afternoon on the windows when the sun is out and disappear when the sun goes down. Thankfully they stay around the windows.I was a bit surprised that we were expected to start a load of towels before we left as well as start the dishwasher and clean out the refrigerator. Trash has to be hauled to the main road. All in all we enjoyed this property and all it has to offer.

Our family had a nice time here and the location was perfect next to Purgatory. The road got blocked one night due to the snow causing a driver’s vehicle to slide, but we were able to pass within an hour. Definitely make sure you have all wheel drive for the winter. The microwave didn’t work when we arrived, but the host was easy to work with and someone came to check and fix it right away. Overall, a beautiful place in the woods that felt remote, but was relatively close to everything we needed.

The property has the most amazing views, we can only imagine how beautiful it would be with snow covering those pines. The house is comfortable for all ages but note there are 4 floors( lots of steps). Baby gates were at the home which helped in keeping 1 year old on main level. The kitchen was well stocked and perfect for family dinners and dining area worked well for family game night. Unfortunately, fire restrictions were in effect so we were unable to have outdoor bon fires, Mother Nature can’t be controlled. All in all, we loved property and would stay again.

My wife, five kids and me stayed here and loved it. Beautiful area. The house itself was better than I thought it would be. The kitchen had more cookware, etc. than any other place than we've stayed. First floor pool table was perfect for occupying the kids and giving the adults some quiet time on the second floor.

I had to book this house as a back up to my original stay and I’m so glad I had to because this house is a quite the gem along the lake near purgatory resort! The hosts were amazing from in depth details for everything you’d need during your stay to local recommendations to indulge in. We opted in to staying in and cooking and this house came equipped with every utensil needed to cook a full spread for every meal! The house itself is a statement, it is so beautifully decorated and makes you feel right at home. The hot tub and sauna were amazing after long days on the slopes and snowmobiling. Already talking about coming back later this year with another group that’s how amazing this property was, communication with the owner was astounding they were able to help us with any matter that came to hand. Thank y’all for such an amazing experience!

Kitchen is well stocked, bathrooms are nice a spacious, beds comfortable. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Overall great place to stay. Towels and sheets were clean. Nice accommodations with plenty of room. Pretty easy to get to and instructions for using security, televisions, fire pits, etc. was easy and everything operated properly. Only negative comments is that the surfaces were clean floor and counters but the upper surfaces like windows (which were plentiful) and fans were extremely dusty. In addition, I killed a couple dozen flies daily in the main bedroom and kitchen? Not sure why or where they came from. Windows remained closed. Overall good stay.

We experienced an unexpected snow and felt this property was the perfect place to hunker down for several days to enjoy the snow and all the property had to offer.
