Loved the stay at this amazing home. The views were incredible and we enjoyed them everyday. It was very close to the beach and central to many of the things we wanted to do. We would definitely come back.

We had to pinch ourselves on a daily basis - It was my dream stay, and we hope to come back soon! So incredibly beautiful.

Enjoyed 6 nights at the property with family (3 adults). House is well appointed & it was useful to have a kitchen to help keep daily costs down. Views are amazing and the position is centrally located between Tipaniers beach to the West and Cooks Bay & the amenities of Maharepa to the East. It's about 25-30 mins drive to Temae Beach & the ferry. There is a decent supermarket in Cooks Bay as well as the bigger Champion nr the ferry. A hire car is definitely needed, tho be aware the driveway is very steep and there is a tight area to turn the car around at the top with little room for error. No A/C or pool, but lots of fans and all doors / windows have screens, so can be opened up for cross-breeze.

Second visit to Moorea - first time visit to the beautiful Fare Marama ….. We just returned from a fabulous 17 day holiday in this very special home overlooking Opunohu Bay. The octagonal design of the home, with a window or glass door on every wall, is beyond special. The wrap around deck provides breathtaking views from every angle and the sea breeze coming up from the Bay rustles through the beautiful trees surrounding the landscaped property. The delicious home-made banana bread in the fridge was such a nice welcome gift. We look forward to visiting again!

The unique shape of house lends itself perfectly to appreciate the lush landscape and incredible views of Opunohu Bay. Fare Marama itself was clean and well maintained. The thoughtful welcome offering was much appreciated and the sweet resident dog made us feel at home.

I stayed here with a friend for 3 nights. The house is really nice, with amazing views. I wish I could live there! Well equipped kitchen, and a bbq. The bathouse was interesting. Can be a bit tricky to find but the owners provide good instructions. A lot of places in Moorea are hard to find. They provided everything I needed, including everything required to wash some clothes that I needed to do. I also used a snorkel and mask that they had available amongst other useful things. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone staying in Moorea.

We LOVED our stay in this beautiful home. As others have mentione there's no AC, but the fans and open windows are generally sufficient. As noted in a previous review as well, one of the showers in the bathroom isn't working, which was no problem at all. The beds were comfortable, the house was clean, we recieved a welcome gift of some FANTASTIC banana bread...and honestly, the view from this home cannot be beat. We wish we had included a few more nights here while we were on Moorea. Thank you for sharing your home and helping to make our stay amazing. We love Moorea, we loved this property and hope to return again...soon! Thank you!

Just a beautiful place to stay. Quiet and beautiful. Mosquitos are prevalent but that’s everywhere in Moorea! A/C would be a great addition, but there were enough fans to keep you cool (I actually got cold a few times in the night and had to turn them down or cover up with the blanket). If we make it that way again, we will likely stay in the same place! Also the bread was delicious!

This property is stunning and the views are unreal! Located in a convenient yet secluded location. Felt very safe. Very clean and great for US travelers (US electrical outlets). Hosts are great and give good recommendations. We absolutely loved our stay here!! Driveway to home is steep, so rent a car that you trust will be able to handle steeper roads.

My husband and I stayed here for the week between Christmas and New Year's. This property is unique as there are few vacation homes on Moorea that have such an incredible view. Words can hardly describe the breathtaking views from the mountains down to the bay. Another amazing thing about this house is that it has screens - a very rare find and definitely needed. The bed in the primary bedroom was extremely comfortable. We were a little worried about not having AC, but it cools down nicely at night and the fan is all that is needed. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you could need. There are quite a few geckos that leave a bit of poo around the kitchen, but this is to be expected in a tropical location. The house is well cared for -the handyman checked in with us and fixed one of the screen doors that was sticky. My only complaint is that the showers in the shower room need updating. Apparently the owner is aware and hopefully they will be upgraded in the future. A lot of ants and insects do hang out in the shower room, but again, this is to be expected. Do not hesitate to book this house!

The house sits elevated which makes the views of the bay spectacular. It’s a spacious place, we didn’t feel cramped at all. It has a large kitchen with everything you’ll need for making meals, a comfortable living room & couch with a smart TV. One of our favorite things about the place was Koa, the sweet female pit bull who came and said hello every morning. She was wonderful. Overall, we loved our 3 week stay and would come back and stay here in a heartbeat.

What a unique spot to have a villa at! Gorgeous, secluded location with unbeatable views! Luxurious inside and out. I truly cannot wait to come back and choose this special place to stay again at.

Property as described. The house is situated above the bay with terrific views. Rooms are nicely done, house is clean. It was a bit hard to find at first as the sign from the main road is small but once we saw where it was, it was not hard to find. There are mosquitos so be aware of that and chained pit bulls on the property. We thought it was odd to have the bath outside the house across the entrance but it functioned well enough for our family.

The property is one of a kind, the property manager and owner are kind hearted and welcoming and the experience overall is as exceptional as it unique. A+ amazing. Mauruuru Roa!

We stayed here for the first part of our honeymoon in French Polynesia and it was even more magical than the pictures. The view from all sides of the property doesn’t even look real, it’s so gorgeous - it makes the steep drive up to the house worth it! Veira was super communicative throughout our stay and the housekeeper who lives in a house on the property was also very welcoming (and brought us freshly made banana bread - so nice!) The sunsets each evening were to die for. They also provide lots of towels, beach umbrella, snorkeling equipment, etc. and a safe for valuables. We will definitely be back!

From the first contact Viera was enormously helpful in sorting out our trip as this was our first trip to Moorea. Her home is spectacular and she was so gracious. Everyone raved about the delicious banana bread she gifted us. I highly recommend O’punohu Valley, this lovely home and welcoming host.

We stayed a week at this property , it is an absolutely breathtaking location and the house itself is unreal with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the bay. We had everything we needed and the stars at night are magnificent!! Moorea is the most beautiful island we visited on our honeymoon, for sure we are coming back for our 5th anniversary!!Thank you Veia and Matt for a memorable week!!

This our our second time to Mo’orea and second time to stay at this lovely property! It a dream with breath taking views and halfway between everything the island has to offer. The house cleaner and maintenance man were both very nice and accommodating.

We loved every minute of our time here, great amenities, and Veia was not only a super responsive host who gave great suggestions of things to do but tremendously helpful when we had some flight delays. I cannot say enough about how amazing the views are, the property has great proximity to hikes over at belvedere and access to local beaches. Highly recommend!

Lovely home with breathtaking views, beautiful kitchen , very comfy bed and pillows with all the modern convinces of home. We are coming home with a camera full of pictures, there was so much beauty to capture. Wonderful resteraunts on the island, beautiful beaches with great snorkeling and hiking if you are up to it. One of our favorite vacations, truly paradise, it was truly hard to leave. Any questions and the host was always quick to respond. If you book you will not be sorry! The Brotens

We really enjoyed our stay in Moorea- Maiao! Tamati and his family were the most gracious hosts. The check-in was very easy, the place itself was even better than the pictures! We were greeted by the most gorgeous flower arrangements and wooden Christmas tree as our trip was over the Christmas holiday. We were pleasantly surprised to see that there is an additional twin bed in each of the bedrooms, the kitchen was bigger than expected and completely equipped with all of the essentials. We easily made our own meals several times during our stay. The outdoor area was the best! It's where we spent all of our time. There are two outdoor areas to sit, one right outside the kitchen/ living area and another right next to the beach. We used the provided kayaks daily and paddled out to some of the best snorkeling on the island. The washing machine was so convenient. Tamait's mother brought us fresh fruit and a banana cake during our stay which was so appreciated! Book this place! You won't regret it!

Feeling lucky to have spent 8 days in this incredible natural & wild setting. Our teen did plenty TikTok on the wrap around porch over looking the South Pacific. This is situated on the sacred stone of Moore’a. This listing has the BEST views. You will be enchanted to come home to your jungle house to retreat/relax after your day of water activities. Washer/drier were great! The beaches are very close. The house architecture itself is very interesting in a good way. Rustic, charming and big! We slept well. Enough fans to keep the air moving. Curtains to keep the sun out during the day. We loved the fact we had an adjacent little house for washing because of humidity. Separating the living dry quarters from the wet showers, adding also lots of privacy! Travel Tips: Have lunch at Snack Mahana! Use Jay for your tours activities at Moore’a Activities Center ( across from the house still on Baie of Opunohu).We had brought our rental car from Tahiti full of groceries from the store called Carrefour ( a must do!) They have everything you will need & way cheaper than on Moore’a. Then put your car on the ferry. Bought our stapled items, and for our beach picnic sandwiches ( gallons of water, foil, paper towel, plastic bags, French cheese/meats for sandwiches!) Baguettes are amazing on Moore’a so buy fresh each day. Maybe small improvement to be made in the house to be more practical especially with power switches, adding lights but it is hard for islanders to fix houses. The house is well decorated and comfortable. We brought with us 2 mosquito electrical lights that killed them before we went to bed. We put one in each bedroom.Highly suggest in raining season to also bring bug wipes and spray. Not many in the house if you keep your screens closed. Veia was very communicative and kindly got us rescheduled twice due to Covid. Merci! She got us one item we needed within 1 hour. And Selma is the sweetest lady she takes care of the house and gave us a tour. I really enjoyed getting to know her. She lives one house down. You won’t see her unless you need her. I had stayed 10 years ago on bungalow over the water at the Hilton. It’s a different experience. I liked both very much. I felt more like a real islander at Veia’s house so it is definitely my favorite way to stay on Moore’a. Anyone staying there is a lucky (and smart) person. Thank you Veia & Selma

Like having your own private spa overlooking the bay. Almost like you're in the tree tops. Very private. BBQ'd at night overlooking the ocean. View is magnificent.

Our purpose in coming to Moorea after a cruise on the Aranui was to explore the island and just relax. This property was the perfect fit for us--unique design, gorgeous views, and convenient location. The owner was responsive and helpful. We highly recommend it as a quality getaway.

This house was a one of a kind stay! My wife and I came here for our honeymoon and loved the comfort and location of the house. We woke up every morning to breathtaking views of the mountains, bay, and the ocean. The house is conveniently located within 5-15 minutes from any activity/restaurant that you are interested in but we do suggest renting a car to get around! For those that are concerned about no AC, rest assured that the fans in the master bedroom and the general temp at night time actually made the room feel cold. Thank you Veia and also the property manager Tom for making us feel more at home during our stay. We can’t wait to come back!
