This is our third year of staying in this unit at the Chesapeake Lofts and we are as impressed with the unit and the owners this time as we were the first time. The owners are extremely helpful and make sure your stay is as easy and comfortable as possible. They are customer service at its finest. The unit itself is meticulously clean with every creature comfort taken into consideration from chilled bottle water in the fridge to sunscreen in the bathrooms. There are games available for entertainment on those rainy days or those nights when the family is just too pooped to do anything else but relax and chill. This is a conscience owner who does not take their renters for granted. The view from the unit is outstanding for those of us who like boat or people watching. The Jackson Street Pier is a hub of activity with Cedar Point visible across the bay. The location of the condo is great as downtown Sandusky has undergone a transformation over the years. There are now more restaurants and shops within walking distance. There is often a vintage car show on Friday evenings as well as an open market on Saturday mornings. Again all within walking distance. Check Ohio Shores and Islands on-line for what activities are taking place. Ohio Shores and Islands also has a store front on E Water Street, a stones throw from the condo, for gobs of free info/brochures about what to do in the area. We have stayed in other units at the Loft and, by far, this is the best!

Lovely place to stay and easy walk to downtown attractions. Close to lighthouses, amusement parks and museums. Hosts were available and attentive. Would book again.

We visited Sandusky/Cedar Point on the way to Mackinac Island. The condo was excellent. Very clean and well-equipped. Beautiful view and conveniently located. Would stay here again and definitely recommend.

This condo was perfect for 3 family members visiting over Labor Day weekend! It was exactly as described. Very clean and comfortable with wonderful views of Sandusky Bay!

My 3 children and I just returned home from our stay at David and Christine's condo. Everything was absolutely amazing! Their property is gorgeous and super clean. The location is perfect and only a 10 minute drive from Cedar Point Amusement Park. The hosts provided detailed information for check in, check out, and everything in between. They even checked in on us during our stay to make sure everything was to our liking. Overall, we were very impressed and will definitely be returning! Highly recommend this property. You won't be disappointed!

We enjoyed our visit to Sandusky and couldn't have been more pleased with this condo. We appreciated how clean and inviting the condo was. David was very thorough with his directions for check in and check out services and always available for questions and ansers. The kitchen was supplied with everything we needed to enjoy our 3-night stay. The pool and hot tub area was also very clean and we greatly enjoyed the quaint town of Sandusky; walking around to various stores and restaurants. I would highly recommend staying here.

My friends and i truly enjoyed our stay during our annual girls weekend! The condo is beautiful, well appointed, and the location can't be beat. We walked to several shops, great restaurants, beachside Cafe right next door which was great for lunch and a water view. In the evenings it was perfect to watch the sunset! Our hosts were very communicative with us and everything went smooth from booking our stay through check out. Highly recommend and would definitely stay there again!

Walking into this gorgeous 2-bedroom condo, it's clean, modern and when you get to the living room, coming from a City girl that has to drive several hours to get a beach view, I didn't want to leave! Also, loved the fact that the condo is in a secure/gated building, so you can leave your vehicle at the property and walk to get something to eat/drink or catch the Jet Express, since you're just basically steps away from the dock--super convenient! We did spend a few days at the pool, it's very nice and relaxing, especially the hot tub with the tricky Ohio weather, but just like we have in Indiana. We also booked some online passes for the Jet Express to Put In Bay for a day and the ride there and back was gorgeous, especially at night. Whatever is on your agenda for Sandusky or one of the islands, staying at this condo, you could stay in and enjoy the views, maybe catch some live music on Jackson Pier and some food trucks outside your balcony view or get out and enjoy the very vibrant and welcoming nightlife the city has to offer. And whichever bedroom you sleep in after discovering Sandusky, etc., you're definitely going to sleep very well. The beds are very plush and comfy and the blankets are thick and warm. Both bathrooms were very clean and well stocked with the necessities, even sunscreen. The host was easy to reach before/after and made sure our stay was perfect--thank you for opening your "home" to us!

This is our 4th year staying in this unit. After driving 8 plus hour from CT David already has the welcome texts coming. When we get into the unit, always on time, we are greeted with a fridge that has fresh cold waters in it. The unit has coolers to use at Cedar Point or cruising down to the pool. The bedding and room are spectacular. This year was extra special due to music night on the pier. After a long day at Cedar Point we didnt feel like dealing with the crowd of people watching the band. So we took a chance, opened our balcony doors and found a working bug screen to enjoy the music from our room. We have stayed in numerous units Chesapeake Lofts and by far this is why we keep booking this room Thank you again!! We are heading back again this October and staying in this unit. Keep up the generous hospitality, it is greatly appreciated

Incredible accommodations. Everything was perfect from location to comfort. Made our stay in Sandusky the perfect place to enjoy the Ironman 70.3 race. Wouldn’t hesitate to return for a relaxing visit to the area any time of year. The host was awesome to work with and made sure our stay was enjoyable. A top property!

This is our second year for staying in this unit and we definitely will return next year. The unit is spotless, welcoming, and very well maintained. It was fully stocked with everything we needed for our stay. It is truly easy, breezy. The view from the wall of glass overlooks the Jackson Street Pier which is a constant source of entertainment with boats coming and going, people milling around, and even a concert. The owners are considerate and kept us up to date with information both before and during our stay. We greatly appreciated the list of restaurants both downtown and in nearby locations. After going to Sandusky for 42 years, we thought we knew them all. Ends up we were in a rut and knew next to nothing. We sure enjoyed exploring! Thank you, Christine and David, for another great vacation!

My family and I loved staying in this condo while we visited the Sandusky area! It was beautiful, clean and spacious and the view is the best in town! We really enjoyed our stay in Sandusky. This listing had a beautiful view of Lake Erie and walking distance to the local restaurants. The owners were so helpful and made sure we had a great time. This was a really enjoyable trip for my family!

Had a wonderful time. Few items, ice maker did not work. Only one towel for kitchen. There was no coffee. A suggestion would be to put some hooks on the bathroom door and hallway. All in all we enjoyed the condo, pool, and location. Thank you.

With the exception of 2020, we have been going to Cedar Point every year for over 40 years. For the last 11 of those years we have been renting a condo at Chesapeake Lofts. We are familiar with at least 3 other units in the building and are very familiar with the area. Downtown Sandusky has pleasantly been changing over time so there is always more to experience. This unit is outstanding! It was clean, clean, clean. The furniture was perfect for an easy, breezy vacation. Other units we stayed in had overwhelming furniture making it difficult to navigate around. This unit had comfy, like-home furniture. The beds were super comfortable with a duvet as soft as butter and provided a great night’s sleep. My in-laws raved about their bedding in the guest bedroom as well. For some reason, the bathrooms seemed larger in this unit. This could have been our imagination but with two bathrooms and 2 couples, we all agreed that they seemed larger. The kitchen was very well appointed with everything a family needs to enjoy their stay including plenty of light weight dishes, mugs, glasses, and silverware. Dish wash soap, paper towels, and trash bags were available as well as fresh ground coffee, filters, sugar packets, and cream cups for your morning joe. Again, everything was sparkling clean. We were so impressed. For our prior stays we always selected a lake view condo for our stay. This year, we switched it up and selected this dock view condo. What a pleasant surprise! We may never go back. This unit is on the second floor and provides a full view of the refurbished docks, Jackson Street Pier, and downtown, with a view of Lake Erie to the left and Cedar Point in the distance. With so much going on around the Pier, we were constantly entertained including the privilege of seeing two weddings. On the Sunday of our stay, the city of Sandusky provided a free concert by The Drifters at the Jackson Street Pier. It was a beautiful, cool evening with temps in the low 70s. We carefully opened the glass doors, shut the screens to keep out those pesky may flies, and enjoyed the concert. Afterwards, fireworks blasted off from the far end of the pier into Sandusky Bay. We had the best seats!! The owners kept us informed every step of the way and checked in with us to make sure all was well. We definitely, definitely will be staying here again!
