If it takes you a year to save up for a one-week stay here, get on it. It’ll be the best vacation you’ve ever had, in the most beautiful place you could dream of. The villa is clean & comfortable. The main area (kitchen/dining room) is totally open on three sides, giving you endless ocean views & a fantastic cross-breeze. The luscious, orchid-scented, soft, gentle trade winds are constantly refreshing your mind, body & soul. No matter what kind of stress you bring with you, these healing breezes will blow it away. There’s a hammock perfectly situated in the shade with a view to forever, plus lots of sun loungers. The gorgeous infinity pool will make you feel like rock-star royalty; the waterfall & colored lights at night are stunning. The kitchen has everything you could want for cooking open-air dinners, with plenty of room to seat everybody. Owner Joe & maintenance man Edwin were kind & friendly, & knew just the perfect balance of being helpful & giving us the privacy they know we came here for. You’ll need to find your own beach chairs/umbrella, & conserve/wash/reuse your bath towels (only two in the master suite), but there are floaties, lots of beach towels, & some books & board games. We were frugal with the hot water & it never ran out. Bed is comfortable, great A/C. There are lovely solar lights all around the property at night that come on automatically at night (though the moonlight was so bright, we didn’t even need them). We can’t wait to come back!

Michelle, Joe and Edwin were gracious hosts and the views!!!! We were looking for amazing views and connection to nature and the elements and privacy and this home had it all!!! The sunrises!!!! Such a magical place on the planet!! It was hard to leave this home.

We loved our stay at this property. It is beautiful and so relaxing. It is close to everything you need but very private at same time. Joe and Michelle communicated with us very well. I hope to return and stay again someday.

Im from Puerto Rico and have stayed in Culebra many times but I have to say that this was my BEST vacation ever in Culebra. Villa Tampico is just something else. This Villa has the perfect location. Is close to town but at the same time you are secluded in a beautiful spot surrounded by AMAZING ocean views. It has so many spots that you can relax and sit down with friends. The pool is perfect and very close to the ocean. The house as it says in other reviews needs work in some areas but I founded to be super clean, the A/C’s worked perfectly, there was hot water and it has an Ice machine that is super convenient and saves time and money going to town to buy ice. The bedrooms were excellent and the windows shutters allow you to sleep late. The deck is super convenient. We had a Water Taxi (H2O) pick us up at the deck to go to Culebrita. Lastly, we want to thank the Owners for allowing us to stay and we want to thank Edwin for meeting us at the airport and taking care of us the whole stay at Villa Tampico. He was super helpful. We will definitely be back!!!!!!!!!!

From check-in to check-out this entire experience was incredible. Joe was kind enough to pick us up at the airport. It’s impossible for pictures to really show how incredible the views are from everywhere on the property. Absolutely recommend and would love to come back!

This property is very unique in that it is comprised mainly of three sleeping areas and one outdoor common/kitchen area. This works perfect for visiting tourists up to14 count. The property is located on a point with 270 degrees of ocean view and is centrally located only minutes from groceries and downtown. Note that you can not access the property with a golf cart and must have a rental jeep. The only ding that this property could get was the condition of the carpets in the bedroom areas which almost appear original to the house, but then you don't have to worry about walking on them with your shoes on. A beautiful location, well worth the cost.

Everything was perfect for an unforgettable vacation. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the property and were in awe of the surrounding beauty. A wonderful experience.

Perfect property for a large group with spectacular living spaces, endless vistas, and great access to Culebra. A tropical paradise that I would gladly return to.

The pool was a smash hit with the kids and plenty of outdoor hangout nooks meant everyone had plenty of space to unwind. The location puts you less than a ten minute walk from downtown as well as datiles Beach (probably the best beach for kids in the island). This location simply cannot be beat.

Villa Tampico was amazing! Everything about it was fantastic including Michelle,Jose, Criselle & Edwin. The view is spectacular every direction you look. The open air kitchen/dining area was very nice. Sundecks, pool with a waterfall, beautiful flowers & wildlife including alot of hummingbirds which we really enjoyed. We can not wait to go back!! Highly recommend if you are looking for privacy & total relaxation!

Had a great time at the house. It was a dream come true. I recommend to rent a jeep due to the steep hills on the way in. can’t wait to go back!

We all had a wonderful time at Villa Tampico! We were a group of 12(hard to manage no matter how you look at it), but there are enough gathering spaces that we could have private conversations when we wanted to and the kitchen and dates were perfect for larger group activities. The setting is stunning, the pool is beautiful. We all agreed staying at Villa Tampico could not have been better.

If you like being surrounded by the most beautiful water in a variety of blue, green, and turquoise shades, snorkeling right in front of your vacation rental, swimming in the perfect infinity pool, being a part of nature in the covered but open air living/cooking area, sleeping to the sound of the ocean right outside your window, watching the sailfish, rays, dolphins, turtles and more from all sides, gazing at the stars from the docks, walking or taking a quick drive to town, talking to the visiting birds and more then Villa Tampico is for you! No boat traffic other than the rhythm of the ferry making its way to and from Ceiba. We had the perfect family vacation at Villa Tampico and look forward to returning one day. We will always cherish the time we shared there.

Awesome property with an even better location!

The location of this property gives you an amazing view, the pool is such a plus in this property!. The open concept of the kitchen and terrace invites you to cook/BBQ while looking at the sea and have a great time.

The house is amazing with a 360 view of the Culebra peninsula, infinity pool and two docks to bring or rent a boat and being able to enjoy the island beaches by boat.

Joe's place is a quiet, clean, spacious and calming place. The house has it all, It is the best location home in Culebra, Puerto Rico. The sound of the waves were just like music to our ears. Peaceful home. The whole place made us feel at ease. Joe was very nice, easy to talk to and very friendly when he welcomed us. He even took us to the store to pickup some groceries. I would definitely come again!

Renting was awesome! We rented it the weekend before the first covid’s lockdown and rescheduling was super due to the situation. We loved the property

My husband and I stayed for a week in March. It is a beautiful well thought out and designed space. Joe took great care in building it. Plenty of room. I spent my morning sitting in different chairs and drawing the different views. There is not much at all to do in Culebra but relax which was why we went. Flamenco beach is a must. I loved that you could rent chairs and umbrellas and eat good food. I am a fussy traveler and Villa Tampico is 5 stars all around.

The view was something I'd expect from an ultra-luxury resort, just incredible. Proprietors were wonderful to deal with. The nearby village and island lifestyle makes it clear you are AWAY...and clears one's mind -- which is the entire point of a restful vacation. We can't really come up with any strong negatives, so instead I'll provide some cautionary tips: - unless you fly into the airport, be prepared for a possible ferry delay due to weather (our ferry did operate on time but it was a choppy day and two of our group of five became seasick) - rent a jeep in town. The villa is fairly close but only walkable for the very fit - toddlers will need to be watched carefully. Hazards everywhere (lack of railings, decaying decking, etc.) - air conditioning in the bedrooms is loud, to the point where it interrupted the sleep of some in our group. Hopefully the owners will consider installing ductless split a/c sometime - bathrooms were somewhat moldy — something I'm sure is an issue everywhere on the island. Wall-to-wall carpeting in the bedrooms and baths was a bit puzzling, making mold more likely - no supermarkets on the island; only superettes. Don't expect to find everything you need, only essentials - the pool temeperature will be somewhat cold on cool winter evenings In summary, the only issues were minor, and if they were not there I'd expect the nightly price to be double what we paid. We had a very enjoyable time and firmly recommend this place for a relaxing vacation.

It pains me to write this because then everyone will want to stay here! BUT, truly, there exists no better place to stay than Villa Tampico. We have been visiting the island since 1995 and rented a myriad of places; this is the best. Communication with the hosts is perfect. The house is very private, close to town and situated on a peninsula with terrific views and breezes in all directions. Cooking in the kitchen with those views is a chef's delight! The infinity pool is a perfect for a dip any time of day. There are so many outside seating areas it's hard to find time to sit in ALL of them...even during a two week stay. Stay away :))))))) !!!!!

This property is probably the best in Culebra. Not only is the location perfect but the house is a dream. Totally equipped for anything that you may need seed the stage for a perfect vacation. The hosts are super responsive and have paid attention to every detail that guarantees you will have an unforgettable experience. We are very grateful and feel lucky to have been able to enjoy it.

This home is the absolute best place to stay in Culebra! Location, amenities, views, comfort, wow factor...literally has everything. The open kitchen and living area make for a wonderful stay. Also, the communication and kindness from the hosts is beyond expectation. We are already thinking about coming back!

Loved waking up in such a magical & peaceful place. No need to leave the property if you are on a mind and body relaxing vacation. Everyone had the time & space to re-charge and also spend time enjoying the family. Michelle & Joe are amazing hosts. We will be back soon.

We just returned from a fabulous week at Punto Tampico! We were three families of four, with ample room for comfortable sleeping and privacy (when needed). The location - up a huge/steep hill - was perfectly located on a peninsula with incredible views of the ocean. We enjoyed evening sunsets on the deck and made use of the open-air kitchen for meals. The kitchen was well equipped and there is more than enough refrigerator and freezer space for large groups. Joe made check-in a breeze, ensuring we had all that was needed to get our families to the house and Edwin went above and beyond to check on us daily. We cannot express enough how hospitable Joe, Michelle, and Edwin were throughout the entire process. We enjoyed walks into town - if you don't mind the steep hill - and used a Jeep rental for shuttling people to and from the beaches. Snorkeling - even right outside of the home - was amazing. Possibly consider beach chairs for tenants to use in the future - but there are some available to rent at Playa Flamenco. We spent evenings in the infinity pool, exploring the nearby beach, and relaxing on the decks. We are definitely booking this place again - and cannot wait to return! This was a perfect location for our families (6 adults and 6 children) - thank you for providing us access to your beautiful home!

This place could not have been more perfect for our group of 9 women. Super clean and the views are the best on the island! I’ve stayed all over Culebra over the past 26 years and by far this gets 5 stars for location, views and layout. Short (steep) walk into town, if you like that kind of thing, quiet and so lovely. So hard to leave to go exploring when you have the best of everything right on property!!! We found ourselves in the pool constantly and snorkeled every day off the point. We saw turtles, rays, colorful fish and Manatee. The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked at home often! The owners and caretaker where nearby whenever needed but never intrusive. The ice-machine, modern fridge and water filter were wonderful to have especially with such a large group. I hope to be able to return some day. Home for 5 days now and still dreaming of our time there! Thank you Michelle and Joe! It couldn’t have been better! We did rent jeeps and that will make accessing this property a lot easier. We did like walking sometimes though just for fun

Villa Tampico was outstanding! It is the definition of private paradise. The home is a perfect mix of wide open spaces, for gathering together for meals and games, and tucked away bedrooms and secluded patios for when you just want to be alone. It was great for our extended family vacation. The views, easy access to the ocean and infinity pool can’t be beat. The owners, Joe and Michelle, and property manager, Edwin, were very welcoming and helpful. We can’t wait to come back again!
