Perfect place for anyone looking to “get away from it all.” Close to nature, beautiful vistas, a cottage more like home than accommodation and gracious, warm hosts.

We had a lovely stay at the cottage. It is a beautiful space, great kitchen, nice outdoor sitting area and hot tub. We enjoyed meeting Catherine and John. They are great hosts and very helpful. We hope to return in the not too far future.

The cottage is large and very comfortable. There are a lot of different sitting areas both inside and outside to enjoy the views of the private backyard. The kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom was clean. We enjoyed the stay.

Overall this property is fine, clean and a good location. Doesn't have a microwave, which for travelers not wanting to cook is not great. The claw tub is difficult to get into and the shower could use updating, drain doesn't work very well. A lot of antiques which are not too practical for a rental--hard chairs and nowhere to sit and read comfortably. Bed is fine. All in all, this property is good if you are not too picky!

Really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. Very cozy and clean. Beautiful location near the town and park.

Loved it! Great communication with host. Close enough location to lots. I wouldn’t say it’s walking distance to town unless a half hour walk is what you’re up for. Best to have a car regardless as there is so much to do and see. Loved the hot tub although one side didn’t have working jets- I meant to tell the host and forgot. The bed was great! Not too soft or firm. If I could improve anything, it would be a new set of couches. The ones there are cool and antique, but you sink into them as they’ve had a lot of use and I’m not sure if it’s easy to keep them clean—which isn’t a big deal if it’s in your personal home, but something more durable and easy to clean would make sense for a guest house with lots of traffic. The host left fruit and yummy cheese and crackers and was just very responsive and helpful. I’d love to come back!

This is a charming cottage with wonderfully eclectic furnishings (and a very impressive library). Although it’s a studio, the floor plan is really well done . . . the space is quite large with a lot of natural light, and we loved the roomy and airy feel of the place. Opening the curtains on a wall of windows (and French doors) to a view of the private patio/garden in the morning was a wonderful way to start each day. The neighborhood was peaceful, the bed was comfy, the shower was hot, the kitchen was well-equipped, and the two terry robes were a thoughtful touch. There is a hot tub by the patio, and on a cool evening it was a great way to end a day. John and Catherine are superb hosts, treating us to a welcoming gift of fruit and local cheese and offering kind advice about the area when we asked. The location was a perfect “home base” for our explorations: birding the Point Reyes seashore, hiking the trails, visiting the redwoods, and enjoying the wine country. We stayed at the cottage for ten days and hated to leave.

Catherine and John were very friendly and greeted us very enthusiastically on our arrival. Everything was comfy and cozy and exactly as described. We will definitely return.

Is a lovely place with nice hot tub for the chilly evenings

It was relaxing for us. We enjoyed the tranquility of the area, the trees around us n waking up to the sound of different birds. We also loved the hot tub.

The rental unit was clean, with adequate supplies in the kitchen. The furniture is beautiful, but the overstuffed chairs and sofas were not as comfortable to sit in as I would have liked. The bed was on the small side and less comfortable than we had hoped. As is the case in many of the rental units we have used, the unit was under lit, making it difficult to read at night. The unit felt quite private, despite the fact that there are a number of people living on the property. Hot tube was great !

A quiet location in beautiful West Marin County overlooking Tomales Bay. Bountiful birds and animals. Lovely patio area with hot tub. Large studio cottage made cosy with antique and Indonesian furniture, beautiful exotic rugs and an inviting bed with crisp linens and a fluffy duvet. Fully equipped kitchen. Eclectic book collection. Every detail has been considered. Incredibly clean. The absolutely best part is the warmth of hosts Catherine and John. It is evident immediately that they are striving to give their guests not just a bed for the night but an experience of being pampered and cared for.

The property was comfortable. While one big open space it is broken up into smaller areas where one can feel cozy (especially the library corner). The kitchen has everything one would need (unlike some places that only have a few utensils.) While we didn't use, it the hot tub looked clean and was the water was nicely warm.

We even saw a young fox and a doe with a fawn.The cottage has an extensive library. We were there for almost a week and will return.

We've never been in such a beautiful rental. Catherine's husband had lived there and filled it with beautiful and unique furniture. He was also generous with his time , helping this elderly couple get our luggage from our car to the cottage and back. We had a relaxing retreat and would definitely come again.

Cutest cottage, amazing hikes, kayaking and sightseeing! We saw coyotes, foxes, so many birds. In the water, baby manta rays and lots of jellyfish! We went to Marshal’s for seafood!! Totally awesome experience!

We had a lovely getaway for our 23rd wedding anniversary - we were greeted with locally-made fine cheeses and fresh fruit - yum! The friendly owners lived in a house very close by, but were very respectful of our privacy. There were 2 other rentals on the same property but you could hardly tell due to the attention paid to making each property very private. Hot tub was a prefect temp and clean and just outside the cottage so very convenient to use. Unique and artsy decor including antiques and a fascinating and eclectic array of books. A few games and a small DVD library were available. No microwave. But there was a toaster-oven and old-fashioned stove. It was one large room, but very spacious with 2 sofas and nice-sized and well-appointed kitchen. We hope to go back again!!
