Lake Point Lodge (the name on Google Maps) is a great place for a large family gathering. The house has four bedrooms, four bathrooms and a rec room with a futon. The large lakefront deck is a perfect place to gather. The house is clean and well maintained. The owners live in the Hayward area and are readily available for questions. While there are kayaks and a row boat available, they also offered rental of a pontoon boat at a reasonable price. Lake Hayward is not the biggest lake in the area, it was sufficient for our needs. In addition the Namekogan River offers excellent kayaking. We hope to return. in 2024.

Perfect home for our family vacation! Caught lots of fish and kids stayed busy all week long playing bags, going kayaking and paddle boating. Being able to rent the pontoon for the week was an added bonus!

We had 9 guests stay over the Fourth of July and it was an amazing trip. Close to town, whole peninsula to ourselves for swimming and fishing. The hosts provided fun games outside and cleanliness throughout property. Would definitely book again!

Fishing wasn't good otherwise it was a great week!! Loved the cabin and how well stocked it was!!

This was absolutely the family get-together vacation that I have been dreaming of!! The house was absolutely perfect for us. We had so much fun paddle boating, kiacking(?) etc and our grandsons caught many big northerns and bass which made them very happy. The house is furnished with everything imaginable--we brought lots of things we would not have had to cuz they were provided. Our time here together was definitely worth every penny spent. Thank you so much for providing a place where we created so many awesome memories ❤

We were celebrating my wife's 60th birthday and she wanted a place on a lake large enough for our entire family (2 of us, 4 kids, 2 spouses, 2 granddaughters under 2). I found this place, read the reviews, and it was everything that had been advertised and more. The hosts were fantastic, the home was perfect for our needs, the location and amenities were spot on.

We had a great week in Hayward. The house was very clean and everything that we needed was on site. Fishing wasn't very good but there were a couple of cold fronts that came through, which makes fishing a lot tougher. The water was cold so the kids didn't spend a lot of time swimming. The only drawback to this location is the proximity to town. If you are looking for a true "Northwoods" experience, then this probably isn't the place for you. The National Lumberjack Championship was in Hayward the week that we stayed, and that is held on Lake Hayward. There was constant sirens all week, as well as car alarms going off and engines revving. Not what I think of when I go to the Northwoods. If you like convenience to town, then this is the perfect place for you. Overall, we had a great week and highly recommend this property.

We had the most incredible time at Lake Point Lodge. Our group ranged in age from 5 to 70 with four families and the house was perfect for everyone. We all commented that this was the cleanest, well stocked, perfectly located property. Just a couple minutes from town (kids rode their scooters there), groceries, shopping, restaurants and activities were all within a 5 minute drive. We loved the kayaks, paddle boat, fishing off the dock (the middle dock was the best for fishing), swimming and just enjoying our time together as family while each having our own spacious bedroom and bathroom. Lee and Mary Jo were quick to reply with any questions. If you’re looking for a beautiful house on a quiet lake with lots of space, this is it! We hope to come back!

Family had a great time. House fit us perfectly. Everything on one level, flat walk down to lake. great privacy in back yard. Walk to town. Kitchen had everything we needed which is a first for us in 20 years of vacation house rentals. Kayaks were a big hit.

If I could give this property more than 5 stars, I would! It is absolutely gorgeous! Located at the end of a peninsula, it is surrounded by water on 3 sides. Location is fabulous, with main street being just over a mile away, a quick 5 minute drive. Lots of amenities which we took advantage of. Played croquet, bocce ball and cornhole. Our toddler grandchild loved being taken for rides on the paddle boat, and the adult children liked the kayaks. The spacious bedrooms (each with their own bathroom) gave each family their own space. Can't say enough good things about this place!

Our week at your beautiful home was more than we had hoped for.

Have stayed at many vacation homes through the years with our family, this property far surpassed all others for exceptional views of the lake from almost every window and room in the house. The accommodations were also better than most, with the owners having thought of everything you may need on your vacation and supplying all the amenities , plus more. In addition, the setup of the house was perfect for multi-family sharing, with a bathroom for every bedroom. There was so much space inside and outside on this property we all had plenty of room to relax, and enjoy our time at the lake. Thank you for allowing us to share your home, and for all the work you put into making our time relaxing and memorable.

Beautiful spacious home on a quiet private peninsula with fantastic views of the lake. All within walking distance to shopping and dining. Owners are very nice and easy to work with. Everyone had a wonderful stay. We hope to return to this property in the future.

Beautiful home, welcoming locals, lots to do! We attended the lumbar jack world championships and rode ATV's most of the week. The kayak's and paddle boats were a hit with the kids.

We enjoyed all elements of the property….,inside the home, the yard around the home, and the lake……. besides having the wonderful amenities of Hayward so close. We shared numerous activities indoors in the evening or when the weather was not great, used the lawn for outdoor yard games, and spent a lot of time on the lake fishing, paddle boarding, tubing, or just lounging on various beach paraphanalia. And , of course, the deck was spectacular when viewing the yard games or just celebrating a beautiful July evening. We have vacationed in the Hayward area with our family of 14 for close to 10 years now and this was by far the best overall spot for our group of them all. We hope and plan to enjoy this home away from home again.

Very nice property on quiet Lake Hayward. We were often the only people on the lake. Very responsive hosts. Home was as described in listing. Wonderful large family room and deck. Rowboat and kayaks worked great for us (we brought a trolling motor). We saw lots of birds - loons, bald eagles and eaglets, cranes, geese, wood ducks.

Our family really enjoyed the privacy of the lodge and all that it has to offer. The kayaks were very popular, as was fishing from the docks and nightly use of the fire pit. The lodge was spacious, clean and well supplied. The owners were conscientious and great to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful property with country feel. This lodge has a large yard and direct walkout to the lake. We made use of the fire pit every night. We also used the kayaks every day and enjoyed that added bonus. Having 4 bathrooms for our family was incredibly convenient for showers. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, and utensils. My favorite part was the multi tiered decks which always offered sun or shade depending on your preference.

I wish we could give this property more than five stars! The spacious house was immaculately clean and the amenities were incredible for our group (4 adults and 5 kids). The property was full of things to do (kayaks, canoe, rowboat, paddle boat, two piers, space for the kids to run, massive deck with ample seating, etc.) and the views were breathtaking. If we felt the need to leave the property, there were stores, ice cream shops, hiking trails, mini golf and more located within a short drive. Communication with the property owners was prompt and we recommend this property to anyone!

Our hosts, Lee and Mary Jo, we extremely helpful in getting us settled in for the week. The home was a great way to experience what it was like to stay at an exclusive corporate lodge many years ago. We really enjoyed the privacy of the home, which is surrounded by Hayward Lake on three sides. We had a very relaxing week, and the fishing was a real treat.

The house was very comfortable and we loved how the swimming area was easily visible from the deck. The house feels remote and is very quiet. The lake was not too busy even on a holiday weekend. The kitchen was well appointed. We had a great stay.

Our 3 generation family thoroughly enjoyed our week of vacation! Very well equipped with everything we needed. Our relaxing, lazy week was perfect! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

Everything you need for a family vacation on the lake. Lee and Mary Jo where so accommodating and gracious hosts. Very spacious accommodations, plenty of space to spread out and a huge yard for kids to play. We would definitely consider a revisit!

Great Place to stay at! Parking was tight but overall location and setup of cabin is great. Everyone had a great time!

The heating of the house was uneven. Family room and kitchen were fine but master bedroom band bunk bedroom were really cold, whereas other 2 bedrooms were quite warm. Seems the vents in colder rooms were behind dresser and partially covered. Had to cover vents in other rooms with too much heat. Otherwise everything was great. Thank you.

This home is so huge and on a wonderful peninsula overlooking the lake. Home was clean, owner was easy to communicate with and our large group of women loved it from start to finish!
