We had a wonderful time at Summer Wave. The house was beautifully decorated and very clean. The oven was not working when we arrived but we had been notified earlier that day. It was promptly fixed the next day. I would note that previous reviews said the ice maker was not working and it was still not working during our stay. It was reported to the property management team. Overall it was a great stay and the house had everything we needed. We are already making plans to rent it again.

To begin with, our experience with the property management company was great - particularly Casey. The house sits on the sand, no driveway under the house, no steps from the beach to the back deck as pictured. The inside of the house is beautiful but paying what we did for this house is a disgrace.

The house & location were great but the furnishings were lacking. The deck furniture was cheap and broken & the staircase (oceanside) was gone. The ice maker was not working. There weren't any clocks in the bedrooms.

The property was as advertised and a great beach vacation.

The property itself was lovely. Very clean. Check in was easy. The place is well decorated and maintained. Kitchen is well stocked. There wasn't much noise around us. Check out was easy. After Check out we did get a message about a possible stain that was on the couch. However, she was very polite about it and was only asking so she could clean it properly. We were unsure about it. My absolute only complaint. This was our first time to the island. Description was that the water is blue and clear. That's not what we got there. The waves were rough during our stay there the last week of April. Maybe that contributed to it. So if your picky about the type of water you swim in, you will most likely be displeased with that part. If you can get past that, it's beautiful. Quite. Great place to just kick back, relax and enjoy the beach. Go to the grocery store ahead of time. There isn't much there. Just a few local small places to eat. Which were also nice.

Easy and exact...

We were thrilled when we arrived at this home. The location is amazing; the house is beautiful, and the property is very well-stocked. We only had a couple of complaints. The wifi was unreliable to the point of being nearly unusable. In fairness, they do warn you in the listing that weather can create issues with internet service; however, while we were there, the problems didn't seem weather related. For lots of folks, wifi is a nice add-on, but this was a partial work trip for me, so the lack of reliable internet was a problem. Also, the property needs a little more attention to cleaning, given the humid Gulf Coast weather. For example, the kitchen had a utensil caddy that was coated in black mold. Also, the wooden knife storage block was apparently so saturated with moisture that, when we pulled out knives, they were wet. We finally took them out and just laid them on the counter. The wifi, in particular, was a problem for me, but we still had a great time. The location can't be beat, and the overall vibe of the property was excellent.

This place is truly luxurious. The place is for well decorated and clean. It’s beachfront position allows you to drink coffee on the balcony while watching the sunrise, sunset, or the kids playing in the ocean. We will be visiting again. We had minor check-in miscommunication with the property manager, which was resolved after I called them. I HIGHLY recommend this property and this beautiful part of the country.

This Dauphin Island property is perfect; location, design, furnishings, everything! We enjoyed our CHRISTmas getaway so very much. Everyone in our family was comfortable and very happy to be on the Island in this house. We will be back to stay here again.

The location of this home can not be beat! Backyard places you right in the beach with views of gorgeous sunsets. Space for everyone in the family, we traveled with grandparents, parents, and kids, and everyone was happy here. The layout allows for privacy and the home was well stocked with kitchen essentials. Property management was very responsive to the few hiccups we had and we were taken care of promptly. We definitely plan on returning to this home again!

This home is beautiful and the view is awesome. Being so far down on the west side of the island can be a little tricky when it rains or during high tide. We were able to get out ok but if the rain kept up it might have been a little tricky. We did get a text one night that high tide was coming and we may have to move our vehicle out to the road or bike path. We stayed up late watching and we were ok. The owners of this house did a beautiful job of decorating, unfortunately their cleaning person doesn't do the best job of keeping it clean. The cloth headboard in one of the bedrooms was filthy and the bathroom mirrors were very streaky. Also the blinds were a bit gummy and the sheets on our bed did not smell clean. So we changed the sheets and cleaned the mirrors and had a great time anyway. The views of the sunrises and sunsets can not be beat. Even though there are houses around you, you feel like you have the beach to yourself. The house is stocked pretty well with what you need, could use some glass wine glasses though instead of plastic ones. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would consider renting this place again.

We had to deal with a rental company who made zero contact. The house was really nice and right on the beach. We didn’t have to leave the island which was nice but a tropical storm forced us to leave early.

Summer Wave was absolutely perfect! The location on the beach was amazing!! The house was beautiful!! We will definitely come back!!

Really a pleasure to stay in this gorgeous home! The home well very clean, beautiful, beach and well stocked for cooking. Fabulous location right on the sand, almost in the ocean! Couldn’t have been better. Dauphin is truly a hidden Gem. The ladies at the rental office were super sweet and we loved being on the island as everyone was lovely. Tons to do and wonderful wild life including pelicans, dolphins, herons and even a fox!! Stunning sunsets! Can’t wait to come back again!!

We loved the Ocean property. The Beautiful well kept home was so peaceful and kid friendly!

The house was exactly as pictured and the rental agency was efficient. I loved staying directly on the beach until tropical storm Barry arrived.

We absolutely loved staying here. An unbeatable price for a nice house right on the beach. It had everything we might need. Literally the only complaint I would have is the wifi was sometimes spotty. Restarting the router would sometimes fix it, but we were there for the beach so it really didn’t matter for us. Would love to come back!
