First, the view was spectacular. Definitely a five star view off of the balcony. As for the rest of it, the condo was meh. The furnishings and property were pretty tired and dated. There didn’t appear to be much thought to the guest experience. As one example (and there were several we could give but I’m only adding this one for illustration), the balcony, which was the star of this place, had mismatched, uncomfortable and unusable furniture. The booking agency was great, and it seemed that the cleaning crew worked hard. The view was excellent. The rest of the place was average at best.

Check in and out was a smooth process with Grand Mountain Rentals and the staff was informative and pleasant. The property itself was clean, the appliances were great (if you are interested in cooking at home), but the beds and decor are in need of updating, though. Parking was easy and accessable to the front door, never crowded. Overall, SPW was a very convenient location to anything you want to do in Grand Lake!

It sleeps 4 comfortably, but the hot water heater was too small for a family of 4 so we had to rotate showers. Also, the listing indicated that the stove had recently been replaced, but there were no baking dishes provided, so the oven couldn't be used for cooking. Be sure to bring your own baking dishes if you plan to use the oven.

Easy process. Nice management staff. Beautiful area. Property was a bit dated as mentioned in another review but was very clean. Not sure if the description mentioned it but letting folks know of the exterior stairs to access it may be helpful.

Amazing view very close to RMNP. The condo was clean and perfect for our family of 4. We are so happy we chose to stay in Grand Lake rather than the busy-touristy Estes Park.

The view from the deck is amazing. Access to everything you need is easy.

This unit has incredible views of the lake and town. If we weren't out exploring, we were on the deck. LOVED the location. The town of Grand Lake was beautiful and peaceful. I feel like this is a hidden gem as there was not the big crowds that we experienced in other locations. The access to RMNP was less than 2 miles away. We ate in town at One Love; it was awesome. We also did fly fishing through Kirk's Fly-fish in town and highly recommend as well. Even though this unit is a little dated, the location and view make it an amazing find! Hope to return in the future.

Great views and great communication from the property manager.

This two-bedroom apartment in a complex is an economy property with a luxury view of both Grand Lake and Shadow Mountain Lake. It is convneiently located, only a five-minute drive to Grand Lake, the small town and lake where we rented kayaks for a three-hour paddle to both lakes and back. The main drag of town is mostly tourst trap dining and shops, although there is a great bakery in town and a decent coffee shop and bagel place. It's only a 15 minute drive to the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park and hiking trails, and there is a good fly fishing shop, Kirk's, in Grand Lake with good guides and rates. The unit balcony has a Weber grille and offers a stunning lake view from the development's high perch. The unit itself is furnished with dated stuff with a TV that was missing a cable when we arrived. There is a portable CD player, which tells you how long since any investment was made. We had our own Hot Spot. Do not count on wireless service. The oven and overhead light/fan were in serious need of a deep cleaning, and the bathtub shower head sprayed when drawing a bath. the owner is not present. On the other hand, the shower pressure as great, and the bed in the main bedroom has a firm mattress. Bring your own pillow. The ones there are rocks. The management company did find us a cable on our third day there. Overall, we were happy with the cost of the unit and value, and its location.

We have stayed in these units before, mainly for the views. This one was a basic unit, décor left a little bit to be desired but suited our needs. There were several pans which needed a bit of cleaning before we could use them (I think they went through the dish washer but needed scrubbing). The grill also needed some attention before we could use it.

Unfortunately we were quite disappointed with the condition of the unit itself... The amenities were as listed, although maintenance and care of the condo could use some attention. The kitchen surfaces appeared mostly clean, but little was left to be admired throughout the rest of the condo. We were thankful that linens and bedding seemed to have been replaced. The bathroom/shower/curtain needs immediate attention and I have contacted the property manager on those details. This was a last minute booking on our part and the property management company was helpful in booking/check-in processes and no issues from the admin perspective. We were unable to address our concerns during our stay, but have reached out as a follow up. I do not plan to stay here in the future, unless as a last resort option. If all you're looking for is a bed and warm place to rest your head, I'm sure this would do just fine. We had higher expectations for this property.

Grand Lake is right next to Rocky Mountain National Park and there are ATV's and Snow Mobiles to rent close by that you can ride in the Arapaho Forest. Beautiful place and great weather. We will be back.
