The house was perfectly comfortable for our family of four — charming set-up, extremely well-maintained, and great location. We were able to enjoy time with extended family as well as explore southern Maine. We had easy access to the beach in York, and traveled to Ogunquit, Wells, Portland, and Portsmouth NH.

Bill and Beth were overly communicative and helpful in the booking process and beyond. Location was great and quiet, perfect for our families to take a break and relax from days at the beach. Loved the outdoor shower feature and line of sight in the cottage to be preparing dinner and seeing the kids play in the living room.

This was our second year staying at Bill and Beth’s cottage and just like last year it was perfect! Super clean, super comfortable and walking distance to the beach and corner store. My family and I had the best time and we are so grateful to have found such a nice place to stay so close to long sands. Thanks for the great memories Bill and Beth!

I have been going to York my whole life and this was by far the best place we have stayed! My kids (7 and 10 years old) also agree. 920 square feet doesn't sound big, but when you enter the house feels so much larger with the high living room ceilings and loft space. The bunkroom was huge and made my kids happy, and the other 2 bedrooms were also good sizes with closets and dressers. The bathroom was perfect size, great big kitchen with everything you could need (although I didn't cook), and the fact that the house has AC is amazing! My kids were worried about the walk as we have stayed closer previously, but they quickly got over it due to how nice the house was. There was a wagon to transport our stuff to the beach which was great. The road is rocky, but no more so than many of the beach back roads. It feels so secluded even though so close to the beach. We can't wait to stay again and definitely a 5 out of 5!

Would highly recommend this cottage to anyone wanting to stay near Long sands! Great layout, comfortable beds, spacious eat in kitchen, and the best part was the outdoor shower! The owners were very responsive and answered any questions right away! Would definitely stay here again!

There was plenty of room for our family of 5 in this clean cottage. Air conditioning worked perfectly, and everything was just as advertised. Awesome location! The owner was friendly and responsive. Well worth it!

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely week in this vacation home. Communication with Bill and Beth was quite easy, as responses from them were very prompt. We found the house to be very clean, bright, and comfortable. The bathroom is on the small side, but clean and well-supplied, including disinfectant cleaning wipes. My husband enjoyed the outdoor shower several times upon returning from the beach. We cooked meals every day, and found the spacious kitchen to be very well-equipped, although there is no dishwasher. We were lucky enough to have some beautiful beach weather, and the walk to Long Sands Beach was only 7-8 minutes while pulling the beach wagon. Overall, we were very happy and would not hesitate to rent here again.

We enjoyed several days at York Beach. Blueberry Cottage had easy access to several beaches and shopping. The kitchen was well equipped, and accommodations were comfy.

This cottage was wonderful. Just a 5 minute easy walk to long sands beach right near the public restrooms! Such an important thing if you have small children with you that need to use it often. Bill and Beth were great. They welcomed us on arrival and showed us around and answered any questions we had. Our favorite things about the cottage was how clean and beautiful the inside was, the outdoor shower with hot and cold water, the wagon and beach toys our children could use. They even have beach chair you can barrow if you don’t want to bring your own. I recommend bringing yourself some paper plates, like we did. There is no dishwasher so you would have to hand wash your dishes... I don’t know about you but I’m on vacation and I don’t want to do extra chores ;) This place is a 10 out of 10. Can’t wait to go back!

We had seven people staying for three days (all of which were rainy and cold). We enjoyed the family time together and spent time on the beach between periods of rain. It was just my husband and I the last three days. Overall, the cottage was comfortable to be in, beds were comfortable. The owners were very nice and responded quickly to any needs. We will likely stay here again.

Super cute and close enough to beach to walk. The bed was very comfortable. These is no washing machine so pack enough clothes (and extras because the beach!). There's a clothesline though to hang dry wet swimsuits and an outdoor shower.

We had such a wonderful stay at the cottage. It is such a fantastic location with a short walk to the beach. At night you can hear the waves. The cottage was a perfect fit for our family, and well laid out. Bill and Beth were excellent hosts, and were able to accommodate our requests. Thank you for sharing your adorable cottage!

A group of five girl friends and I had booked a place for a long overdue girls get-away. Several days prior to our departure date one of the girls had a family medical issue so our group decided to postpone our trip until 2021. Long story short a couple of us decided to still go and I booked the Blueberry cottage. Booking and check in could not have been any easier! The owners Bill and Beth were great to work with.Location: Perfect! Cottage is a couple blocks from Long Sands beach, about a 7 minute walk. Comfort: Cottage was extremely clean. Decor was beachy, modern rustic, with a unique homey feel. Beds were super comfortable (at night we could hear the beach through the open windows). The sofa was upgraded from the rattan one in the pics, to a comfy upholstered one, the perfect spot to relax with a glass of wine. We didn't cook however the kitchen seemed to be well stocked. The only changes I would recommend is upgrading the 4 cup coffee pot to a 12-cup-er. Adding a few baking/cookie sheets to heat up left overs, and including some saran wrap, tin foil and small plastic bags for snacks. Overall, this place is a 10 out of 10 and we would definitely book it again. Thanks Bill and Beth.

My family and I can’t thank Bill and Beth enough for the amazing home we were able to stay in while visiting long sands beach! During the whole process of booking the communication was outstanding, the home was extremely clean and tidy with plenty of room! We had 4 adults and we had more than enough room. The living room and kitchen are huge! And bedrooms were perfect size. The outdoor shower and the beach wagon were a big bonus. I highly recommend staying here as I have rented homes in the past, and this one by far was the absolute best. We look forward to making this a yearly tradition! (Triple bonus points, this home is within walking distance to the center of Long Sands Beach)

Very clean, well appointed cottage. Short walk to beautiful Long Sands Beach. Our third summer here and never disappointed. Bill and Beth are excellent hosts and always check in on day of arrival to make sure all is well. Always very responsive. Neighbors are friendly and very considerate. We love the beach but hiking, biking, shopping, historical sites all nearby. Many good restaurants in the area. Appreciated so much more this crazy year !

We had an amazing long weekend with our family of 5 at Bill & Beth’s cottage! The house was very clean, comfortable, and relaxing and even our 3 young kids were able to move around freely and comfortably. It was a quick and easy walk to the beach and we were able to utilize the beach buggy that was left at the house. Bill and Beth were very easy to communicate with before, during, and even after our stay! Our family really enjoyed our mini vacation and we hope to come back again in the near future!

I appreciated the fact that Bill sent us updates during quarantine and were very open to changes in our reservation. The cottage was in a great location. Walking distance to the beaches and restaurants. Looking forward to renting from them again.

We were fortunate enough to stay at Bill & Beth’s rental property in York, ME. The house location was great, the house itself offered everything as advertised and the ease of communication with the owners made everything very simple. The neighbors were also very welcoming and friendly. Will stay again!

The cottage is exactly as described. Very close to neighbors on either side but have stayed here 2 years now and neighbors are great. Never an issue with noise on either side. Bill and Beth (owners) have provided a comfortable place to relax and unwind. They are located within walking distance to Long Sands Beach. All the pleasure of this beautiful beach without all the noise and congestion. Bill and Beth are friendly and attentive, always reachable for any questions. Plan to return again next year !

A nice place which met all of our needs. The kitchen was great for family gatherings and the outside shower was an added bonus. We would definitely rent there again.
