This cabin is the perfect place to get away for a few days. There is lots of hiking nearby in the Joyce Kilmer Forrest. You're also close to Nantahala National Forrest if you prefer to take a hike. The quiet road right in front of the cabin is also a great place to stretch your legs. The cabin itself is cozy with a beautiful creek right next to it and a little fire pit for some campfires. There are plenty of twigs around the surrounding area to build your fire. The hosts were great as well. We will definitely return for another trip.

Pictures do not do this place justice! The cabin is cozy with plenty of space for 2 adults (plus a kid next visit). Kitchen: The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked all weekend. We originally planned on grilling because there are gas and charcoal grills and utensils, but it was too windy to grill. We ended up using the oven which worked fine! The pot holder is in the drawer with the dish cloths. Bedroom: The queen bed was extremely comfortable. We always bring our own pillows. The heated blanket and view from the window made nights and mornings delightful. Technology: Just as mentioned, there is very poor cell service, but the Wi-Fi and landline worked great! The Smart TV had Streaming services that kept us entertained when the weather kept us inside. Outdoor Areas: Wow! I could have sat outside all day! Each of the porches had views of the water. The rocking chairs by the front door were extremely comfortable and sturdy. The back porch off the bedroom had a lovely table with a breath taking view of the waterfall. Our favorite time using the hottub was about 9pm under the stars. The sound of the water and warmth of the water in addition to the thousands of stars made for a romantic evening. My favorite spot is down the path visible from the hottub porch. Take a cup of coffee or glass of wine to this serene location. Our hosts were kind and answered any questions that arose. We look forward to visiting again soon!

Had a great time at the cabin. It is a small, but cozy cabin perfect for me, my husband and our dog. Took long walks along the gravel road and enjoyed the creek. Had an issue with the hot tub, but Rob and Robin were quick to fix and we were able to enjoy our last two nights using it. Definitely plan on another trip to the cabin.

This cabin is a beautiful setting. Rushing water, water fall, cabin in the woods, and quiet. We had a full experience of nature from deers to a bat in the bedroom (hairy little creatures). Had a blast the entire time we were there.

First and foremost this property is absolutely gorgeous! We loved being able to walk around and take our daughter to the creek, she is obsessed with rocks right now, her and our boys enjoyed themselves. My personal favorite part was the giant soaking tub! My husband loved how quiet it is out there. You hear neighbors drive by, but other than that you just hear the roaring creek. You would expect to hear it in the cabin, but it’s very well insulated so it sounds like a ripple. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Somewhat remote but a great location if you want to get away from it all. Plan to go back.

Everything was perfect

This is our 3rd stay at this gem. We had an absolute blast at the cabin. I caught and released over 25 fish this time in the stretch out back with some being very nice keeper size. We both slept incredible all week, the sound of the stream is bliss. Apart from hiking up the mountain road, we barely left the cabin. It has everything you need! Thanks Rob and Robin, we really appreciate you.

We've been to this cabin before and booked multiple trips after our first stay. Absolutely love it! Great for fishing or just hanging out. Make sure you pay attention to the directions since it can be difficult navigating the first time.

The cabin is set in an exceptionally beautiful place with the sound of water and a view of small cascades from the porch. Very quiet and a nice place to take a walk. Perfectly decorated with most everything you need. We cooked a lot while we were there. Thank you to the hosts for such a beautiful stay!

We loved every aspect of the cabin, inside and out. It was a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back in the future. Rob and Robin were very accommodating and helpful for any and all questions we had. The cabin was clean and the perfect amount of space for a family of three. Anything you could need, you’d have at your fingertips. The hot tub, creek, and fire pit were so nice to enjoy without having to leave the yard. Listening to the water at night was so nice too. I’m upset that we had to come home. I’d stay there forever. Thank y’all for everything!

The property is truly peaceful & the cabin is romantically rustic & cozy. The cabin is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. The sound of the creek and the warmth of the hot tub will sooth all worries and stress away. The cabin is somewhat remote, not a basecamp, but a destination to come & stay a few days to escape. As soon as we arrived we new we wanted to come back one day. It’s a special little place. Thanks for sharing.

This cabin met every expectation! We loved the rustic, farmhouse feeling throughout the cabin. Great location, very private. Watching and listening to the creek was definitely our favorite part!

This was an important birthday for me. My husband asked what I wanted. "A cabin the woods". And that is exactly what we got. So relaxing. So secluded. So everything we hoped for. Thank you to our hosts for providing an excellent experience.

We loved this cabin and outside property, amazing stream in back. I would have loved to known there was no AC before we got there, we knew there was no cell service but landline was bad too, it had Apple TV which ran off of the internet which did a lot of buffering, no network or cable TV only Prime, Netflix, and Hulu. I don't want to sound like I'm complaining but renters should know these things. We loved this cabin and will return as we were assured that AC was being put in and considering this cabin is well off the grid in the woods, slow phone, internet, and TV is not surprising.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a week with our two dogs and had so much fun. If you have the chance to rent the ATV definitely use it! My boyfriend enjoyed trout fishing on the property and the stream is so relaxing to listen to while reading. We’ve visited multiple cabins and this was our favorite!

We used this lovely cabin for our honeymoon, and it was the perfect escape. The decor is charming. The location, with the rushing creek, pond and mountains, is very peaceful. We loved it!

What a sweet cabin! My husband and enjoyed our stay. Rob brought an extra heater as the temps were expected to drop, but the cabin is so solid, an extra blanket was sufficient. It was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, a twisted ankle prevented us from doing any hiking or exploring, but the full birdfeeder on the back porch brought in all kinds of birds, so we managed to satisfy our inner "bird nerds". We would certainly visit the Hemlock Hideaway again, especially in the summer so we can enjoy that cold creek!

We were more than pleasantly surprised with this cabin and we’ll definitely come back. It’s a truly rustic cabin but very clean, cozy and well equipped. Our visit was during the Christmas Holiday and even though the temp dropped into the 20’s at night, the cabin remained quite comfortable. We really enjoyed the beauty and tranquility of this place and we both give it a thumbs up. The hosts are great people and did an excellent job of making us feel welcomed.

the hemlock hideaway is a great little cabin. the porches and views of the stream are perfect. the cabin was clean and very well stocked for anything you might need. my husband and i really enjoyed our stay.
