Great place to get away from it and the owners give you a superbly warm welcome and are genuinely helpful. Marked down the local amenities because there really aren't any, but there is everything you need a short drive away and you can get some good walking in straight from the door - which was really more important for me than shops and pubs on the doorstep. Sparrows Nest is a little gem tucked away in beautiful Somerset countryside. A perfect place to relax and recharge , under any circumstances. We had just been in total lockdown for 4 months so wete in need of a weeks break Cath and Nick were excellent hosts .The cottage was comfortable and clean and well equipped if a little old fashioned. The garden was lovely and our dog was made to feel very welcome . There were a couple of places to eat nearby and several nature reserves .It was also close to the motorway for travelling further afield .The weather was good so we had a really nice time. Very well maintained cottage, peaceful and quiet just the sounds of the birds in the morning. Easy to find with Sat nav. Plentyy to do and good eating places near by.

Very nice and peaceful, quiet location,easy access to motorway if needed , being not far from Taunton it is quite central. There is plenty to do in the area.Owners very friendly and welcoming. Would recommend.

Our stay was most enjoyable. The owner's were friendly and helpful. Their little dog Jimmy was so cute. The garden was beautiful, quiet and peaceful. The cottage was lovely, had everything we needed.
