Great location and really cozy apartment

Excellent setting. Beautiful property

Our family was in the Charlotte area for a youth soccer tournament, and this was the perfect place to relax between games. The apartment was spacious and clean, and the view was spectacular! The owners were friendly and attentive. We loved getting to use the hot tub and the kayak. We will definitely stay again when our travels lead us this way!

Perfect spot for a weekend getaway by Lake Norman. Wonderful views of the lake - you can see the sunrise in the morning and sunset in the evening. Hosts were great and very welcoming in sharing their lovely home and property.

Beautiful home w great view

We only stayed one night on our way to Hilton Head, but it was a far superior stay to some hotel along the highway. The apartment is right on the lake, providing a beautiful and peaceful view (as opposed to a hotel parking lot). The bed was extremely comfortable with luxurious linens. The refrigerator became useful to keep some of our perishables fresh (The kitchen appears to be well-stocked, but we didn't use it). There was plenty of room, both inside and out, for our two retrievers.

It was truly a dream to stay on the property. The property managers were amazing. The lakefront insurmountable.

Thank you Dawn and Steve for sharing your home with us. We had a wonderful time. The views of lak are unobstructed and beautiful. Bed was comfy and view is spectacular, we had everything we needed and we were comfortable. Apartment was nicely stocked and clean. We look forward to our next stay. The suite across from us was rented out, but it did not bother us and it did not bother us to have owners above us. It was both private and peaceful.

Our stay was just perfect from the beautiful accommodations to the kayaks, hot tub, variety of water toys, and, of course, Lake Norman! We had a lovely meeting with Dawn, the host, and certainly would recommend her house to anyone looking to stay on the lake. Thank you!

My better half and I birthdays are close, so we always tend to do something to celebrate together. This lakefront getaway was the perfect way to do that. We took our two labs to enjoy the beauty of Lake Norman. Everything we could have needed was included. Fully loaded kitchen, coffee bar, grill, lake equipment, hot tube, shower/ laundry, and amazing hosts with the sweetest golden retrievers. Truly an amazing trip. We all had such an incredible time. Such a treat. One our whole family will never forget. Thank you, Dawn and Steve! We will be coming back!

We stayed in the apartment & it was the best & most gorgeous overnight stay we've ever had. The location was quiet, clean & calming. The owners introduced themselves & were so kind. It was very hard to leave this property!! The lake is amazing!!!

We was meet at the house by the owner and was given a quick tour of the property and our rooms and we had a wonderful and quiet stay! It’s a beautiful house with nice boat dock for swimming and fishing! Owners was super friendly and very accommodating!

Stayed alone on the property until my final night - very relaxing and quiet. Once adjacent/separate listing folks arrived, you could hear a lot through the walls and ceiling (which made my dog anxious). I’d stay again if I knew I were alone! Otherwise loved Lake Norman and the kayaks, SUP, water access, and multitude of seating options around the property! Loved my stay.

Nice property and friendly owners

Wonderful host and lovely decor. The lake views were amazing especially from bedroom. Everything we could have needed was provided Kitchen was great as well as living and sleeping spaces. The patio was very relaxing and provided a nice atmosphere for outdoor dining. We enjoyed all the gear for adventures on the water. It was really nice that we could enjoy this with our dog

We booked the Apartment with Dawn and Steve for our daughters graduation weekend (Davidson College). It was so nice to sit out by the lake or relax in the great room between our grad festivities. Check in and out was a breeze. We brought our bikes and rode through parts of the beautiful neighborhoods along Tuscarora. I used one of the hosts kayaks and had a lovely one laddling around the lake. All in all it was a great visit—hope to return here in a future trip to Davidson!! Thank you Dawn and Steve

The property is just beautiful, breath taking. The accommodations inside the floor level apartment were clean and comfortable. The bed was amazingly comfortable...best sleep I've had in a long time! The owners are very nice and did allow us fairly decent privacy, however, we are not accustomed to staying in a place where the owners are living as well. The owners, Dawn and Steve and their two goldens are very kind and accommodating. There were some issues because of this, but, overall our trip was memorable and it was nice to invite our daughter, her boyfriend and 3 other friends who attend UNC-Charlotte for a day of swimming off of the dock, a ride in the canoe and relaxing on Saturday. We were celebrating our birthdays and also going to the Charlotte Z-Dragway for an NHRA 4 Wide race event. The owners 2 dogs are definitely people friendly, but be prepared in case you bring your own dog. Ours has not socialized with other dogs much, and he got himself into a bit of trouble and we were caught off guard and did not realize he got let out at the same time the owners' dogs were out. All worked out though. All dogs are ok We did have to make the few kitchen frying pans, pots and utensils work for us. But, we've rented beach homes which had even less than what was offered and still managed. Our only other issue was that perhaps the dock's ladder could be lifted when not in use, because the algae growth was rather unpleasant, making it difficult to exit the water. Thankyou!

We spent two nights in this lovely 1500sf apartment - located on the bottom level of the owner's home. The entire neighborhood is absolutely beautiful and quiet! We were greeted by Dawn who was very pleasant and so helpful our entire stay. Walking to the back of the house towards the entrance the lake came into full view (they are on a tip of the lake with 180 degree views). There is a dock house with kayaks for you to use. There is also a large dining table underneath the covered porch area and several chairs down by the lake in various locations to take in the view. The interior offers a full kitchen (stocked with all that you might need, including a Keurig and coffee pods), a large dining table, 2 couches and 1 double bed. The bedroom is quite large with a king bed and a double blowup mattress, the bathroom was clean (it has a rain shower head so bring a shower cap if needed). Washer/Dryer (with soap, etc) are available as well. Extra blankets and towels are for you to use. Lots of restaurants and things to do in the area. PS While Dawn and her husband were upstairs we barely heard a thing the entire time we were there). Highly recommend and we will be returning!!

Beautiful area, very quiet. The bed was amazing as well as all other accommodations. Two dogs are awesome and greeted us every morning with love. Thank you for your hospitality.

The rental was exactly as advertised. Plenty of space for the two of us and our dog. The host and hostess were very friendly, helpful, and adaptable. Both sunrise and sunset views from the patio— breathtaking!

My boyfriend & I came to stay for a weekend getaway and it did not disappoint! Beautiful property and great apartment space, we didn’t want to leave! There is so much to do and the hosts are extremely nice with adorable doggies! We will definitely be back:)

The property and views were very peaceful and personal while still having a resort feel. Loved the closeness of the water and the offered available water activities. The property had all the necessary items for short or longer stay. Very clean! Great communication and hassle free check in process. Will be saving this for future stays.

Relax and refresh was exactly what we were looking for in a weekend getaway! The listing looked picture perfect so I had high hopes upon arriving with my husband and our pups. This lakeside getaway is tucked in along the banks of Lake Norman. This destination is in the lower level of a home but it is very private and you don’t even realize there are others around! There is anything you could ever want including a firepit, fully stocked with firewood, hot tub, chairs to watch the sunrise/sunset over the lake, a jet ski, kayak, canoe and boat available. We enjoyed a lovely fire at sunset and morning coffee at sunrise. Inside, the lovely owners fully stocked the apartment with laundry detergent, plenty of extra towels and shower necessities as well as a coffee bar. The space was very pristine and we felt right at home! The views are amazing, including while you lay in bed! I can’t thank the owners enough for opening up their home as well as allowing dogs to stay. Our pups loved the extra space and falling leaves! We truly enjoyed ourselves and we are already talking about future stays and look forward to bringing our pups back to this charming lakeside oasis.
