We enjoyed a great memorial weekend at this beautiful home. It was very clean, spacious and accommodating. The screened in porch was my favorite. Looking forward to staying again in the future.

Can’t say enough about this property and the ease of communication with Hosts! Had a great week with family and friends. Son in law and grandson each caught sizeable catfish off of boat dock! Also managed to catch a few huge snapping turtles! Will definitely rent again! And highly recommend renting the pontoon boat for great sunset cruises! Our family had a great get together at The Lake House on Lake Gaston. Home was organized, clean with plenty of space for our family of 12 to enjoy. The entire process was smooth and we appreciated the linens being available and all beds made and ready. Holle was an excellent communicator.

We have stayed at this house a couple times and they do not disappoint!!! Owners are great and house is even better!!! I would suggest if you want this house you should pay your deposit. We have missed out for next year already!!!😞

This house is perfect for our needs. Plenty of rooms, great location on the lake, water shallow enough for the little ones, close to shopping, boat available to rent, great sized screened for everyone to hang out on, fire pit with plenty of seating, 3 kayaks, etc. The owner is great with communication. Highly recommend!

We rent this home every summer with two other families that we are close with. The home is always exceptionally clean and equipped with everything you could possibly need. Great location on the lake, tucked away in a large cove so we feel safe with our kiddos freely swimming during the day without watercraft zooming by. We love that we can rent the owners pontoon boat, saves the hassle of having to rent from the marina! Only about 5 minutes from the grocery store, pizza shop, ice cream makes it extra convenient. Owners are always very responsive to questions/ needs. We've traveled to Gaston with other friends that rent different homes, and this continues to be our favorite. So beautiful and great for a large group!

This was our third year staying at this property and we absolutely love it! It is really becoming our home away from home! The owners of this property have been so amazing with everything from communication to responsiveness of our needs. We had a problem with the AC this trip and the owner had someone fix it in less than 3 hours. I was completely amazed with the response and was so grateful it was fixed. If you are looking for a comfortable, clean, and beautiful place to stay this is it! We will be coming back for many years to come!!

I cannot say enough about how perfect this house is. The property is amazing, the view is incredible, the fishing is great, and the lake is just perfect. There is so much to do on the property— boating, fishing, kayaking, swimming. The kids were never bored. There are so many places for everyone to spread out, both inside and out. The dock was our absolute favorite place to hang out. Holly was very responsive and great at communicating with us. It was the perfect family vacation, and we cannot wait to go back!

This was our annual family vacation, my husband and I, three daughters and their families. The kitchen was the best stocked we have ever seen. Lots of places to spread out for reading, playing games. Fire pit was a big hit with grandchildren. Of course the fishing was excellent right in the cove. We brought our own pontoon boats and kayaks but you can use the kayaks at house and rent their boat. We didn’t have much contact with owners because everything was perfect!

The Lake House was the PERFECT house for our son’s graduation trip. We had plenty of room to spread out and enjoy dinners together, fishing, boating and relaxing. It was a great week!

Four of five siblings came together for a week with mom to celebrate thanksgiving. The house was ideal, especially the second kitchen downstairs. Loved all the outdoor places to enjoy. If it was a few weeks earlier, we would have loved to enjoy all the water toys. Definitely recommend and are considering this as a bi-annual event/ location.

The house is very well built and extremely clean. The house has a high grade finish including appliances, TVs , etc..

The property is wonderfully located, well maintained, beautifully furnished, and has lots to do. We spent almost our entire trip just hanging out at the house, enjoyed the fire pit, the dock, and activities in the home. Thank you for letting us stay! Will certainly book again!

I can't say enough good things about this beautiful lake house. I just spent the weekend with five of my closest friends for a long weekend at Lake Gaston. So glad we found this beautiful home to stay in. Perfect location, and an easy drive from Raleigh. This house is beautifully decorated and has so much room to spread out and have fun. The huge screened porch overlooking the lake was our favorite spot and we spent hours out there chatting and eating meals. The fire pit is lovely and I love that the House comes stocked with firewood and chairs The boathouse on the lake was a perfect place to sit and chat while our friends were kayaking. A fully stocked kitchen, super comfy beds, and this quiet location all make it the perfect weekend getaway. I highly recommend this beautiful home.

Holly & Ken's vacation home is amazing! The house is fully stocked and is decorated beautifully. It was perfect for our group. We loved hanging out at the boat house, kayaking, playing ping pong, pool and sitting by the firepit in the evening. The lake view is incredible. The screen porch was our favorite spot to enjoy breakfast and dinner. The view is amazing!! If the house was for sale we would purchase it! We loved it that much.

This was our 3rd annual moms weekend and this house did not disappoint. We always rent a different house every year but this house was so so nice, we booked it again for next year before we even left. It was perfect in every way and Holly was so great to deal with! I had texted her throughout our trip and she was really quick to respond and super accommodating. I cannot say enough about this house. It is definitely an entertainers dream and as the designated cook, I enjoyed the two kitchens and the fully stocked cupboards. Thank you Holly and Ken! We are already talking about next year!

Property was clean, tasteful and comfortable. It had everything we needed. Well sectioned off areas of the house for different age groups to enjoy. Great dock area with water toys.

We had a wonderful week! Took full advantagevof all the amenities...ping pong, pool, kayaks, paddle boat, pontoon. Loved the screen porch...have some highly allergic famiky members.

This was our second year staying at this property and I cannot say enough great things about it! The property is beautiful and the home is so comfortable for me and my family! We floated on rafts out on the lake and my daughter swam in the lake all week! We also rented the boat and it was definitely worth it! We got to explore and go out to eat one night! Can’t wait to be back next year!!

This property is amazing. Communication with Holly & Ken was a breeze. Our group had a blast lounging on the deck of the boat house. Everything is the house was spotless and well equipped. We rented this home for a get together with friends and family. It was spotlessly clean, had absolutely everything we needed, and was close to the grocery store for easy quick trips. The screened porch is very spacious for all of us to have coffee/drinks, play games, eat dinner, etc. This house is really special to make memories with family and enjoy lake life fishing, swimming, and hanging out on the dock. Loved our stay!

Best vacation home we have ever rented! The house truly has something for everyone. The large dock in a quiet cove with boat lift, jet ski lifts, plenty of shady and sunny spaces, kayaks, pedal boats, good fishing and even a bar with refrigerator is what sold me on the place. Grandma and grandpa loved the first floor master and huge screened in porch they could enjoy all day long. Our teenage children loved the pool table and ping pong in the evenings after they were done playing on the water. Grocery store and several restaurants only 3 miles away. This is a huge bonus when you realize this is the only grocery store on lake and other properties may require a 30+ minute drive. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. There is tons of indoor and outdoor seating for the whole family. We will definitely be back.

What a wonderful house and vacation!! My family and I had the best time ever!! The house is absolutely fantastic!! Great size for our big family!! We loved everything about this fabulous house! The screened in porch was my personal favorite!! Everyone loved the water during the day and playing pool and ping pong at night!! Our absolute favorite to place to stay when we come to Lake Gaston. This house is always so clean, has everything you could possibly need, the owners are extremely responsive, and the location is absolutely perfect. On a quiet cove with beautiful view of main lake Shallow sides of dock for kids to wade around, deeper on far end of dock for jumping in, swimming and fishing. Grocery store 5 minutes up the road. Already booked for next year!

We had 4 four couples stay for a long weekend. The house was beautifully decorated, clean and well appointed. They have thought of everything you could possibly need. Boating all day and fire pit / lounging on the screened porch at night was super fun. Would definitely stay there again. Hosts were great and quick to respond to an inquiry. Five stars for the house and five stars for the hosts.

Our family had a wonderful time! The house was large enough to accomodiate our family group of ten and spacious enough to where we never felt crowded. The outdoor space provided numerous sitting areas and the firepit was a total hit each evening as we shared mountain pies and s'mores! Closely located to the lake, boating and fishing were also favorite activities. The property's convenient location made it possible to make a quick trip to the grocery store for a few forgotten items.
