Lovely home - comfortable, relaxing, well cared for.

Wonderful place to stay. Close walking distance to the grocery store and a farmers market on Wed/Sat. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed for the week. Overall place and grounds were clean and well kept. We had our kids and they loved the pool and beach. We wish a boogie board or beach toys would have been made available. The washer and dryer were a bit small but still very nice to have them in the unit for small loads. We would recommend this to others!

We really enjoyed this condo. It was well stocked and had some very nice upgrades. The property was great, and having the small beach was a huge plus. The only issue we had was the AC units. They are all on pre-set timers and had no temperature adjustability. Unfortunately, they didn’t work very well in cooling the unit so we ended up just opening the windows at night.

While the unit is very nice, and well stocked, we did have several problems, especially with the management company. The owner does not tell you in the listing that the A/C is restricted, the temp settings cannot be changed, & the units are on timers. The upstairs master bed unit has major problems, it was leaking water down the wall, called the management company, they said they would send an A/C company out, it still didn't work & water was still running down the wall. When I called them to ask if it was serviced, she couldn't tell me, said she would call me back shortly, never returned my call. Got an email saying they sent me the entry codes, we did not receive, called mgt co, sent them again, I did not receive, call mgt co again, she said she was sending the codes to the owner, not me, totally irresponsible. I sent an email to the owner to notify him of the A/C problems & the problems with the mgt co, he responded it was highly unusual, and did not even respond about the A/C unit not working, or why we couldn't change the temp & why they were on timers. The weather was extremely warm a few days, in the mid 80"s with 95% humidity, & the upstairs A/C barely functioned. So, if you stay in this unit in the hot summer months, you will roast. The day we arrived, the sink in the kitchen did not drain, turned on the disposal, it would not turn on, jammed with plastic. Both mgt company & owner seemed not to care about any of the concerns I made them aware of.

This unit worked perfectly for our family of 4 adults and an infant. It was nice to be able to see both the pool and the ocean from our decks, and the unit was nicely updated and adequately equipped.

From the day we booked the condo our communication was perfect. All questions answered quickly, the unit was perfect and well equipped. Definitely a place we’d like to stay again.

The two bedroom condo was set up well for our family of five. We used the master bedroom for grandparents and 2nd bedroom for adult couple and a 9 year old. We cooked most meals here with the fully equipped kitchen providing everything we needed - and the meals on the lanai, looking through the palm trees to the ocean were just what we hoped for. Beautiful! We did experience one issue though. The 2nd bedroom A/C was often not working and with 85 degree weather, the room at night was very uncomfortable. We contacted the management who sent a young man who explained how the A/C operated. No help though & no A/C. Two days later management sent an A/C tech who worked on the unit so that we eventually had the A/C for three of the eight nights. Little air moves through the back bedroom so nights were very hot without A/C. We had a fabulous vacation here and would definitely rent the condo again.

We were celebrating my husbands 60th birthday with friends and had the best time.The condo was roomy and comfortable, with spectacular views.Large lanai's off the living room and master bedroom were great places to start and end our day.We will defiantly be returning to this beautiful property.

We had a very nice stay here. The location can’t be beat. There is a shopping center with grocery store, restaurants, and coffee shop a short walk or drive away. The condo and property are exactly as described and depicted in the photos. Beautiful views, comfortable, and spotless condo unit. The owner was wonderful to work with and very responsive. There were inner tube floats, a noodle, and a boogie board provided in the condo. We had a small snafu at check in but it was resolved quickly and satisfactorily. The grounds are very nice, with a fun small beach and plenty of lounge chairs, grills available, and gorgeous views. One note of caution for those with kids—the property is quite strict about how children behave in the pool area and does not allow kids to jump into the pool or use floatation devices of any kind (we were specifically instructed by the on-site property manager that our children are not permitted to jump into the deep end or use the condo-provided inner tubes in the pool). There is signage prohibiting things like horseplay, shouting, and rambunctious behavior. The vibe was really not kid-friendly. If a child-friendly pool is important to you, this may not be the property for you.

Kahana Sunset is a nice property in a great location to a grocery store and attractions. We enjoyed the fact that the complex is small and not crowded like area resorts. The beach on the property is beautiful and fun to snorkel. We usually saw 4-5 sea turtles every night. The condo itself is updated and had everything we needed. We loved having a view of the beach from our lanai. We hope to stay there again soon!

We loved our first trip to Maui and our stay at Kahana sunset was beyond our expectations! The unit is just as it is described and a perfect, secluded oasis, but close enough to shopping, restaurants, and a variety of island activities. Within walking distance there is a small shopping plaza with delicious coffee, grocery store, and a shop to rent snorkeling gear. Downtown Lahaina is also a short 15 minute drive. Our flight in arrived four hours late and both the property owners and manager were available to ensure we had everything we needed despite our late arrival. An awesome first time experience and hopefully not our last!

What an amazing condo. It was beautiful. It had everything you needed. The grounds were immaculate. Never a full trash can; never a dirty grill. They actually provide you access to a grill, gas included. All ready for you. Steps to your private beach, shared only with other guest. Very family friendly and quiet. Worth every penny spent!!!! Hope to be back to Maui. Maholo !!!!

I came to run the Maui Marathon and celebrate with my family. This property was conveniently located to everything we needed. We loved sitting on the lanais for morning coffee and evening drinks. The beach on property is small and private. Also perfect to watch sunsets. Many nice beaches and restaurants nearby. This unit worked out fine for our family.

What a wonderful condo and complex. So comfortable and clean. The private beach was wonderful as well.

We’ve been visiting the Kahana Sunset for more than 30 years. It’s a quiet paradise with all the amenities and Susan’s (B2) unit is the best we’ve found. Immaculately remodeled, with great concern for comfort and style. A five star recommendation.

Everything is exactly how the pictures describe it beautiful. The private beach is perfect no need to leave if you just want to relax. Best view!!

Great location and property with enough privacy and tranquility to enjoy your vacation without being in the heart of the Lahaina or Kaanapali action. Easy drive to superb island grub, beaches, Lahaina shopping etc. Our second visit to this Condo did not disappoint.

Had a great stay at Kahana Sunset B2. Everything you need and more. Comfortable beds, AC, well appointed condo. Fridge even had a water filter and ice maker which made it easy to stay hydrated in paradise. Owner was super responsive. Thank you Susan!

We loved this unit and community! Tucked away on the northwest shore of Maui, away from the busy touristy areas like La Haina, it is quiet and beautiful. But it's close enough to the best parts of the island, including La Haina and Kaanapali. Very clean and comfortable, it was our sweet little home away from home. We enjoyed dining out on the lanai watching the sunset. Has a great view of the beach, ocean, Molokai, etc. Used the community grills to cook up some great food. Very family friendly, with kids enjoying the pool. We enjoyed walking up to Honokeana Bay for snorkeling with the turtles, and boogie boarding at Napili Beach. Wonderful spot. We look forward to coming back next year!

This was our first time staying in Kahana and at the Kahana Sunset. It was very quaint and the condo was great for our size group. The condo was clean and well equipped. The grounds were perfect and kept up. Loved the little herb garden that was available to the guests and the staff there was friendly and even gave our group coconuts to drink from. :) We used the covered patio for sunset dinners near the bbq and the proximity to the market and nearby beaches in just minutes away. The beach never seemed too crowded and the cove has lots of fish and turtles. You really don't need to go anywhere else to snorkel. We were pleasantly surprised and look forward to returning.

We had a wonderful time visiting Maui. This trip was rescheduled twice due to Covid. B2 is a lovely unit and it accommodated our family of 6 well. We enjoyed the bbq area and patio by the A building more this trip due to occupancy issues on the island for restaurants. Lots of people at Kahana this trip which we enjoyed. B2 is very clean with a nice lay out. It could use some new carpet and some fresh paint but aside from that, a nice unit. The kitchen is terrific for cooking and meal prep. The master bedroom is comfortable and the AC was appreciated due to the heat. We also appreciated the owners flexibility to help us reschedule easily without any hassle due to Covid restrictions. We are sad to say goodbye to Maui but will be back soon. Mahalo!

We had a wonderful time staying at this clean, well maintained property. It was easy to get to, communication was fantastic with the property manager with a small washing machine issue (it was fixed the same day). We needed to delay a year due to covid, and not being very familiar using the vrbo site, the owner and property management company were fantastic to deal with and alleviated any concerns I had with rebooking. I would definitely refer any of my family or friends to book at this resort! We loved EVERYTHING about this place.

The condo was perfect for us. Family of 6. 3 children and 3 adults. Thee boys loved the pool and seeing all the turtles. Thank you Susan!

Kahana Sunset B2 was a beautiful, spacious condo with great ocean views. We loved sitting on our lanais for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It was very well-equipped and a comfortable bed to sleep on. The beach was excellent for swimming almost every day. Mahalo!

This condo was a perfect little retreat for our family (2 adults + 2 elementary-age kids). The owner was helpful when making the reservation. Everything inside was as described/pictured and the information book for the condo outlined everything we needed to know while staying there. The pool was a great way to unwind in the afternoon and we met a few other nice families while spending time there. The beach located at the Kahana Sunset was small but still delivered plenty of fun. The location is just a short drive to activities and beaches further North as well as Kaanapali and Lahaina; also conveniently located near a grocery store and a surf shop for rentals. It was a bit of a trek to get to Wailea (~45-60 min) and we did not bother to attempt Hana as we wanted to spend more time relaxing and less time driving (would’ve been at least 7 hours round trip before accounting for stops). We would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay. Great location and property. A little bit north of the busier area so more quiet and relaxed. Highly recommend!

Great place

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kahana Sunset. The condo was clean and a good size for our family of 4. Nice to have a partial ocean and pool view. Sunset watching every night was a highlight of the trip. Only downside was there was no path to walk along beach or sidewalk on the road close to the condo as with many other places along the water, making it a bit safer to drive to all the sights. Otherwise a great location and wonderful trip. Henry the turtle was amazing too. Visited the little beach every night.

Such a beautiful property! The condo was clean and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook meals. The grounds are well kept and the beach is very nice. We saw turtles resting on the beach and several while snorkeling. We will definitely book this property again!
