This was by far the best vacation rental I’ve stayed at in a while. Carla was very attentive and helpful. We were welcomed with fresh baked cookies and a house fully stocked with everything we needed. House was beautiful and the kids enjoyed the backyard would definitely recommend 10/10

This was our 5th or 6th stay at Sweet Retreat, and as always, it was perfect. I cannot express the thought and care that is in this house. Besides the fact that it is pristinely clean and comfortable, Carla has it absolutely stocked with anything and everything you could want or need! It is so organized 🤩I love spending early mornings on the back porch watching the birds devour the full bird feeders, my kids always dive headfirst into the fresh chocolate chip cookies, the candy on the coffee table is a lovely treat as we are winding down the day. We really feel like this is our home away from home, and we look forward to our time here every year. Thank you Carla- you make it so great!!

We have stayed in so many vacay rentals over the years from coast to coast and this is by far the best one yet! The house was extremely clean, host was so very nice, and the house was so very well stocked. We will definitely be back when in the area.

This is the second time we stayed at the Sweet Retreat and it was as wonderful as it was the first time a couple of years ago. This was the perfect choice for our group. We were celebrating a family reunion and were so pleased to be within 5 miles of the gathering. The attention to detail made our stay easy! We loved the back porch... perfect. We'll be back!

This home was perfect for us. Spotlessly clean, very roomy. The kitchen is very well stocked. We loved the thoughtful extras all over the place - a closet with stuff you might have forgotten to pack. She had fresh baked cookies and chocolates when we arrived. Just super nice. The neighborhood is quiet and save. The beds are very comfortable. Just can't say enough about this place. Will definitely rent again.

We wanted to explore lake Murray on our kayaks. The location was perfect for putting in our kayaks… across the street there is a wonderful boat ramp and dock that made it easy for us to use our own kayaks. Plenty of parking for truck and kayak trailer. We even put both in the garage at night
The house is comfortable and the most well set up short term rental we have experienced. The owner really makes guests feel welcomed and appreciated. We hopefully will be able to return

Carla’s home was every bit as comfortable as my own. The location was everything I’d hoped it would be. The home was spotless clean and decorated beautifully. The cookies and the fresh flowers she left just made us smile.

I cannot put into words how clean this home was. Pride of ownership is very apparent. The home had everything you can imagine in terms of cooking, supplies, toiletries, etc. If you showed up with just your clothing you would be 100% fine. The owner was amazing and responsive to all the questions I had. My family and I cannot wait to go back. This place has a 5 star rating for a reason.

The perfect lake retest.
This house was clean, comfy, and perfectly stocked with necessary items. They even had a community closet in case you forgot something. There was cookies waiting for us! We will use this again when we have soccer tournaments in Columbia!!

Short but “sweet”
One of the best places I have stayed at hands down. From the booking , until after our stay Mrs. Carla was nothing but “sweet” and accommodating. We stay at a lot of short term rentals because we travel a lot, and this by far has been the best we have stayed at yet. This house is literally stocked with everything you need and more. Thank you for your hospitality and we look forward to booking again in the future.

Perfect Lake Murray Getaway
The hosts are amazing and kind people that made sure we had everything we needed. They were even generous enough to allow us to use their ramp into the lake for our boat and let us tie our boat up to their dock overnight. It was the perfect stay.

What a blessing to be able to stay at Sweet Retreat. Carla was an amazing host. Cleanest home I've ever stayed in. It is cozy and homey feeling as well. The small touches she incorporates make you feel as if you are staying in a 5 star resort. Fresh flowers, homemade cookies, bottled water and the most prompt of responses to questions. The lake is beautiful and the neighborhood is quiet. I would highly recommend it to EVERYONE! (Well, with the exception of those who want a "party house".) We would stay again in a heartbeat and love, love ,love Carla! She's amazing!
