Location was great. The rental was perfect. It had everything we needed, and the six of us fit very comfortably. The views and the clost proximity to several places to eat made this place the highlight of our trip

Das Apartment ist ein Traum, geräumig, super sauber mit einer unglaublich schönen Dachterrasse, die einen perfekten Blick über den Hafen und den Ort bietet. Absolute Empfehlung, wir kommen ganz sicher nächstes Jahr wieder....

We had a good stay in this original top floor property with outstanding views in the heart of pretty Piran. We loved the huge, comfortable lounge, the port hole windows, the roof top terrace and the fact that we were near the main square and some lovely bars and restaurants. However we felt the bedrooms were in need of some updating particularly the bed linen and towels. The property is reached by four steep flights of stairs, which would not be suitable for anyone elderly or for those with very young children. The stairs also become very slippery in wet weather as one of us found! Unfortunately we arrived in pouring rain and it was difficult to find the property and unload the luggage in the 15 minutes you have within the car free zone. The instructions over car parking was a little unclear to us which added to the general confusion.

This is a unique and charming apartment in a great location. We would definitely stay here again (and are already talking about when)! The apartment is the entire third floor of a building plus multiple outdoor spaces. The decor is really cool, with portholes for windows, skylights, wood, tile and interesting furnishings. There is lots of storage space, laundry in the kitchen and drying lines on one terrace. The kitchen is very well appointed - we had brought knives and implements from home as we tend to find that rentals are pretty sparse and we didn't pull anything out of our luggage to use because we found everything we needed. The bedrooms are very comfortable as all have ceiling fans and two also have air conditioners. It was unseasonably warm when we were there in September, but the apartment was comfortable. The two bathrooms were more than adequate for our group of 5. Then there is the upper roof deck, which looks out over the apartment. The stay here would be worth it just for that. It is large and has views of the sea, marina and the city. We had a hard time dragging ourselves down from here to tour the sites. It's pretty much 10 minutes' walk to anywhere in Piran. There is a grocery store on the same street just a couple of minutes away. The only drawback I could see would be that there are a lot of stairs, all outdoors and quite uneven. We saw it as exercise, but for some they might be a problem.

Great location to sit on the deck and watch the boats on the water and the sunset. Apt was comfortable, large and well equipped. Nice views of the water and promenade. Kathi and Roman are very friendly and accessible. We rented the apt for nine nights and did it all without a car. buses are best way to get around. We had some lovely seafood meals.

Piran.....the month of May passed far too quickly. The people, the food and of course, the apartment were wonderful. By the second day we felt completely "at home". The apartment is so well equipped and very comfortable. Its location is perfect.....a 5 minute stroll to Tartini Square and has an ever changing view from the roof deck across the harbor. This is the place to stay in Piran, unless you don't like the aroma of baking bread (great bakery right below; so fresh croissants and rolls every morning!!). We didn't want to leave! The flat was beautiful, and impressively large. It has such unique character--exposed beams in the lounge, and functioning porthole windows throughout. The furniture was all stylish and good quality. We could tell it was a well loved and cared for property. There was an amazing fireplace that we didn't wind up using, but it was gigantic. We loved sitting on the rooftop patio and soaking up the sun and sea views. Kathi and Roman were quick to reply to our questions and always very pleasant. A few things to be aware of for a good stay- 1. there is no free car park in the area. The nearby parking garage is currently €17/day, and there's a free bus back to Piran that stops at the flat building. But, we asked a local who showed us some roads in/near Fieso that had free on-street parking. So we left our car there and walked about 1km back to the flat. Our car was fine, but obviously that could have been risky, and some will prefer the security of a car park. (though it seems like a very safe and friendly area). But once at the flat, there is no need for the car. Everything is within walking distance. 2. There are many steps to reach the flat. Almost 3 flights. This was fine for our group, we didn't mind at all because we were rewarded with such beautiful views!! But I did imagine if travelling with my older family members, this flat might not have been a good fit. There aren't steps inside the flat, just to enter. We loved staying here, and if we make it back to Slovenia, we'd love to return to the flat.

From our drive into Piran to stepping into the villa, this is exactly how I hoped our European vacation would begin. Kathi, the owner, was so helpful before our trip to the end. All the instructions were so informatative. We had a family of 8 staying at the villa from ages 9-75. There was so much space and comfort for all. It had everything we needed from 4 comfortable bedrooms, to a large family room with the best couch ever. Every day we walk downstairs to the bakery to get fresh donuts for breakfast. At night, we would head to the huge rooftop patio to watch the sunset for a glass of wine. The villa is in walking distance to everything...shops, restaurants, bars, tons of gelato stands. Coming from the United States, we really appreciated the space and luxury of all the amenities of the apartment including a dishwasher, washer, awesome showers, etc. Thanks, Kathi! We hope to visit again soon.

When I opened the outdoor first time....the first reaction from all of as was " WOW !!!" The property and Piran is an awesome package from children to grandparents. A beautiful village..delicious food...not too many tourists !!! a place where you can relax and just be !! Regards: family Mäkelä

Wow....from the grapes hanging over the entry way to the views from the upstairs deck....this home is AMAZING!!!! Piran is such a wonderful little town right on the water and we could see all of it from this "penthouse"...not to mention you can see Italy and Crotia too!! The beds are comfortable, the large dining room table is the perfect place to share your adventures of the day (or the day to come), get cozy on the couch by the fireplace, watch the sunset into the ocean from the upstairs deck, the wifi is strong if you need to take care of business....you will be in need of nothing when you stay here!!! It is clearly well cared for, spacious, clean and has incredible energy. It is the perfect home away from home....can't wait to come back!!!!

This house was outstanding for so many reasons. It has ample room in the living space and the bedrooms are comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and a reasonable size. Everything worked find. The upper deck, with its outstanding view of the sea, is EXCELLENT for sunsets or just relaxing. The house is right on the edge of the town and close to everything you need. You park about 500 meters up the road, but that is just part of the Piran experience. We had no problem with that at all. The bus runs back and forth all day and stops right out front. We barbecued one night and enjoyed home cooked meals several nights. The whole house is well maintained, clean and was very suitable for our family. The owners were extremely responsive to our every need from the moment we began considering this location to the day we left. Actually, they helped us with locating good restaurants in Rome nearly a month after we left Piran. Very helpful. We have been renting homes from VRBO for over 15 years and this is one of our favorite to date. We enjoyed Piran so much. It's a great little town. During the week we were there our girls made friends and hung out with them on the town square nearly every night. PIran was just the right size for us with plenty of things to do in the surrounding areas (Skocjan caves, visiting Ljubljana, Lipizanner horses, wine country). If you are considering the Northern Istrian Peninsula as a destination DO NOT hesitate to rent this home. It's great!
