I liked the house a lot and really love the access to the lake, the businesses. I was shocked the house had no furnace, just plug in radiator. I would have appreciated so warmer blankets or maybe and electric blanket. Over all, 4.5 stars.

It was definitely a cute house and it is right on the strip, right across the street from the lively Sportsters bar(highly recommend the bar but keep this in mind if you're looking for a quiet and peaceful rental) and parking was surprisingly spacious. The beach aspect, there's a perfect spot to sit and see the water but not someplace you would want to swim - more like a lookout spot rather than a beach, it was still enjoyable just not what we expected. The house had some issues with water leaking from the skylight and in the fireplace, we didn't have hot water, some lights and outlets didn't work, some doors were wonky making it difficult to open/close, and the upstairs sleeping area is incredibly hot even with the window unit, cramming 7 people up there would be rough. To be fair I will add there was a rough storm that caused our power to flicker but some of the other issues didn't seem storm related - it's apparent this property get's minimum routine maintenance. The cleanliness was alright, bedding was washed and surfaces were wiped down. Communication with property owners was patchy; VRBO said I was supposed to receive check-in info 3 days prior to my trip and they didn't get back to me until the day before, I had a couple issues that I made them aware of and I was told they'd look into it after we left (leaks, door issues), I messaged about not having hot water and never heard back.

Great location, easy process, absolutely no problems during our 4 night stay. We loved being right in the middle of the strip and close enough to walk everywhere. We did drive 20 minutes to Walnut Beach but it was worth the drive for a less rocky beach.

Great location to the strip of GOTL!!! Can walk down to the lake for beautiful views. Cottage was clean and provided great amenities. Would definitely stay here again!!

My family & I had an amazing vacation! The house was so nice, clean, comfortable & in a great location! Short walk to see the lake at the end of the lane & right next to the strip. We will definitely be back next summer and looking to rent this house again. The only complaint is the shower because it would go from hot to freezing cold, other than that I highly recommend this house/location. Thank you!

Great house, great location. However, I am not sure if I missed it in the description, but linens were provided, but towels were not. Not a kitchen towel, not a hand towel. We ran to the store to buy a few, but for anyone reading this, BRING TOWELS. Like I said, I may have skipped over or misread about the towels, but the house was great. Plenty of places to sleep. Very comfy house. We had a great time and it is in a great central location smack in the middle of the strip!

Loved the location and very close to the lake, shopping, & restaurants. We loved the wineries. 2 1/2 days wasn't enough time to explore everything GOTL had to offer. Will come back.

This was a Relaxation weekend for me and my friends we had an amazing time we had everything we needed cottage was beautiful the location was amazing just one thing is we wish it had another full bathroom outside of that it was an amazing weekend! We will definitely be back

The location is perfect! Right in the middle of the strip made it so easy for us to walk the strip. Loved being so close to the lake as well. Girlfriends Weekend
Loved the cottage. Very clean. Only complaint was that the stairs to go upstairs which was listed as two bedrooms but was a dormer room but very nice were very steep. If we knew this might have stayed at the other cottage. Thought it was closer tothe lake but still able to see it. Otherwise a very cozy, clean, quaint cottage. We enjoyed our stay.

AMAZING HOST!!
We stayed here June 1st, and everything was amazing!! She let us check in early, and there was supposed to be a high chair and pack and play for my infant daughter, and there wasn't...so I messaged her to make sure I didnt overlook it, and I didnt. She went and bought a high chair for my daughter's stay and brought a pack and play the same night!! She went above and beyond. Our trip went too fast!!! Everything was clean and comfortable!! We felt right at home!! Cannot wait to book here again!!! Thank you so much!!!

What an amazing location right in the middle of the strip! The house was spacious and beautiful! Just a short stroll down the lane to the water! We had a fantastic time and hope to stay here again! Michelle was a sweetheart to interact with! Thank you for everything!!

Cutest Cottage on the lake
Absolutely the greatest stay at GOTL. This cottage is not only the cutest cottage at the lake BUT it is accessible to everything you want to do, see, and need. Right off the center of the strip with access to private beach area for kids to play and to catch amazing sunsets.
