The pictures don't do justice to actually being on the Florida River, either looking out the living room window or walking out the back door and being only 20 feet from the River. A great relaxing stay in this log cabin.

We titled our vacation the best Christmas ever. And it couldn’t have been possible without this cabin and these hosts. The view was amazing, the location was perfect for a getaway and the cabin was super cozy and perfect for our family. The hosts were super helpful and willing to answer any questions I had. Their directions for check in and out were very clear. And they had awesome suggestions.

What a heavenly corner of serenity! We thoroughly enjoyed sitting out and watching the river run. Neighborhood was very quiet. I suspect part of the reason was that there were very few people around. Highly recommend this cabin.

We loved our stay at the sweet cozy red cabin. Close enough to Durango but far enough to enjoy the beautiful area. Fabulous location on the river. The cabin was rustic but very well appointed and Kaleb was so helpful!

My husband and I stayed at the Cozy Cabin for a wonderful long weekend. I cannot express enough of a sentiment in how amazing this cabin is. While we went out for scenic drive and explored Durango and Telluride majority of our stay was enjoyed at the cabin. I already miss the sound of the River while I sat outside under a blanket and read or just enjoyed the quiet and peaceful view of the changing leaves. I cannot wait to come back and stay at the cozy cabin again and am already looking at future dates to book another quiet retreat!

This is a great cabin with everything needed for a wonderful and relaxing stay. The sounds of the river just off the deck lulled us to sleep each night of our 4-day stay.

We booked this cabin 10 months ago based upon information on website and it was far better than even expected. The cabin has been beautifully done and met every single need we had. Clean, organized, every comfort of home there for us. Great Wifi for working. Right on rivers edge made for great evenings of watching stars and listening to the river. Did not have interaction with hosts after we got there as never needed to. Would recommend to anyone. Loved it

Beautiful setting by the river, great accommodations, check in and host response. Loved it. Never went out to eat because we wanted to get back to the cabin and enjoy the scene.

Great place to stay

My husband and adult children and I spent the week at this wonderful cabin. We enjoyed the river in the backyard we all spent many hours sitting and relaxing by the river. We were close to all the activities we had planned to do. My two boys stayed in the extra little house and it was perfect for them to have their own area to hang out. Have not been to Durango in many years and I enjoyed it as much as the last time I was there. This cabin was stocked with everything we needed, the beds were comfy and it was a quiet little neighborhood even though you are not far off the main road. If we return to Durango I would definitely stay here again.

We have been coming here for the past 8 years & we are never disappointed. The cabin is lovely, well cared for & stocked with everything needed. We love relaxing by the Florida River during the day & listening to it at night. The drive into Durango is so pretty that we do not mind the 15 minutes it takes to go into town. The river is so beautiful and peaceful! The area is peaceful and quiet. Easy and gorgeous 20 minute drive to downtown Durango. Lots to do and see in the surrounding areas. Perfect base for exploration. And an even more perfect base to relax after your busy day!

We enjoyed our stay. Very comfortable. Kind of weird that washer/dryer was in the bedroom. The washer needs to be cleaned or aired out. Otherwise everything was great.

We had an amazing stay during our time in Durango! The cabin was super cute and we had everything we needed there. The river in the backyard is absolutely amazing and so relaxing! About 25 min from town and not a bad drive. I definitely recommend staying there for a getaway if you’re in Durango!

The property was perfect. Our older kids loved the separate space. We enjoyed meals on the deck. We opened the windows at night and loved listening to the water! Close enough to town for activities but far enough away it was very private.

We'd looked forward to the Cozy Cabin since January. The cabin is in a very tranquil setting and was clean and well equipped. We spent a lot of time , morning and evenings enjoying the deck . Small outing each day to see God's beauty were wonderful. Hosts were great to work with and answered many questions. Many happy memories of our 50th ! A slice of heaven here on earth. Loved this cabin! Perfect, relaxing stay for a family of 4. We appreciated the snacks upon arrival. The proximity to the river and the large deck are the best part. The drive to and from the cabin is beautiful as well. Thank you!

Loved being on the river! Good location, easy reach to lakes for fishing and Durango for shopping and great restaurants. Husband even caught a catch and release fish from the river on the property. A wonderful time.

Wow! What a wonderful stay we had! The constant sound of the river made us feel like we were in our own little world, reading in the hammock, playing cards on the deck, and eating outside as a family. We did fun activities away but each day we cut them short because we couldn’t wait to just get back to the cabin and back by the river! The house was clean and comfortable, wonderfully stocked kitchen that we cooked in each night. The host responded quickly to any questions! We went during a bit of a heat wave in July and the cabin was perfectly comfortable at all times, never hot since it’s higher elevation than Durango. The breeze off the river felt amazing. 5 stars all around! It’s the perfect choice for house and location!! We loved it!!

This was an awesome place to stay. The River behind the cabin and how close it was to Durango made this an ideal place to stay. Can’t wait to come back in the future.

We loved staying in this cabin by the river. It has everything that a family needs. The kids loved having their own room! Beds are super comfortable and having a washer and dryer for a family of 4 is great. The best part about this place is being right on the river!

The good. The cabin was nice and we enjoyed the stay (2 of 3 reserved nights). It was clean, stocked (linens, toiletries, and kitchen niceties, fire wood. The bad: The second 'bedroom' is a separate guest house, and the bathroom was winterized/unavailable. Not mentioned until we received the check-in instructions the day prior to arrival. My family of 4 opted not to use the separate bedroom because of this. The second room w/ 2 beds was a primary reason we chose this property; it was a meaningful disappointment. Unexpected heavy snow fell a day or so before we arrived and the snow removal prior to our arrival was insufficient. We could not get into the driveway and got stuck on the street in the neighborhood. The owner was very responsive and friendly when I contacted him. He arranged for more snow removal the next morning. We could not stay in the cabin on night #1 and got a hotel room. The owner offered to refund the first night (greatly appreciated), but did not do so until over 2 weeks later, after more contact from me. And the refund was NOT the full amount for one night.

This cabin was perfect for our family! We’re not the fancy type by any means, we just love to be comfortable somewhere cozy and this was the spot! Waking up to a warm cup of coffee with the sound of the mountain river out the back door and a warm fire going in the wood stove, couldn’t ask for anything more!

We spent Christmas vacation there & had a very nice stay. The area is absolutely beautiful. The neighborhood is quiet & peaceful. Check in was easy. There are books & games, some kitchen staples, & plenty of extra linens available, which was appreciated. The evergreen & snow covered mountains on the way to the cabin were gorgeous, as well as the mountain behind the cabin. Portions of the river were frozen, which was absolutely beautiful, because being from Texas, we had never seen frozen river, and the sites & sounds of it were breathtaking. Our son spent most of our visit next to it. It had snowed the week before & we had never seen snow at Christmas, which was wonderful. The air & sky is clear, and at night you can see stars you forget are there. If you are a bird watcher like me, you can see black-billed magpies, mountain chickadees & bald eagles around the cabin, and that's just what I saw, I'm sure there are more. The small wall heaters in every room provided a surprising amount of heat, as well as the wood burning stove. Kaleb stocked plenty of firewood. Kitchen had modern appliances & every pot, pan, & utensil you could ever need. Washer & Dryer worked well. Place was clean & comfortable. We did have an issue upon arrival, but Kaleb had it amended in less than an hour. He assured us that his priority was our having a great holiday, which we did. We would stay there again.

My husband and I stayed at the cabin on the river for five days in the fall. It was exactly what we needed after many months of working too hard! The sound of the river can be heard from every room in the cabin when the windows are open. In the evenings, my husband started a fire in the fireplace while we enjoyed watching movies on the big screen TV. The king bed is super comfortable! The kitchen is well stocked. And there is plenty of parking (we brought our small utility trailer and the kayaks.) This cabin is tucked away in a neat little neighborhood that was quiet, friendly, and off the main road. We really enjoyed our stay, and hope to come again soon… It was extremely peaceful and relaxing.

Great location, the scenery getting to the cabin was breathtaking. Quiet and quaint. My kiddos loved all the games and toys. Everything thing you need for a nice getaway. We all enjoyed ourselves. Thank you for letting us share your home.

My wife and I were in Durango for our annual finding fall trip which was extraordinary. If you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy the sounds nature this is the place to be. The creek is great and if yes it contains fish for those that are looking to do a little fishing. The house itself is starting to show its age with some of the cabinet doors in the kitchen that don't close and the lighting in most rooms is very dim. Upon arrival we discovered that one of the twin beds had a broken frame which we managed to temporarily fix, but was never reported to the owners who resolved the issue the day after we left. I personally enjoyed the cabin and sitting outside listening to the creek and watching the deer cross the creek behind the cabin. The location is about a 15m drive to Durango, but close enough to still feel like you are in the country.

Easy check in. Wonderful deck and backyard. Spacious bedroom. Roku TV. Good wifi. Very comfy, serene, and quiet. Great communication with host. We'll be back!

The location was great! Very peaceful right on the river and a short drive to downtown. Kaleb provided great tips to the area and responded quickly when contacted. We definitely want to stay here again!
