The perfect place for our family of 12

My family and I visit Tahoe every year and pick a different house each time we stay. This was by far the best and we'll be here again next year. Communication with Dennis was very easy, check-in was really easy. The grocery and other stores are only a 10 minute drive away. Door dash and Instacart are readily available. 2 sets of washer and dryers, 2 ovens and 2 dishwashers. The adults enjoyed the pool table and kids enjoyed the heated pool. Everyone enjoyed the Theatre room. The heated floors was the chef's kiss. Thanks Dennis, we'll be back.

The house worked very well for our family. The kids loved the pool and hot tub. The biggest hit was the pool table so much fun! The carpets needed to be cleaned and I ended up washing the one bedspread.

We came up for the weekend and had a wonderful time at the property. Cabin was spacious and the kids had plenty of options to keep them entertained all weekend. I would stay at this property again for future trips. Host was easy to contact, very responsive, and polite.

We had a huge disappointment with the property we rented and spent a fair amount of the vacation fixing things and dealing with issues at the property rather than enjoying the vacation. It is important to note that this property is worn out and not very well maintained. The issues are very long to list, but here is a quick summary: 1. First the elevator- this was a critical reason why we chose this house, and the fact that it didn’t go to the first floor without someone running downstairs to call it, combined with the fact that there were no lights in the elevator, made it extremely uncomfortable for our FOUR elderly guests over the age of 70. This was a critical problem with our stay, and our relatives risked injury on the stairs often, rather than use the dark, inconvenient elevator. This was most disappointing. 2. Many windows do not have screens. The lack of AC turned out to be ok, so long as we could open the windows at night. But we couldn’t open all the windows. For this reason, screens are critical. 3. We replaced the non-working flame starters with a new one, and left it for your next renters. 4. The dishwashers were incredibly difficult to load, and constantly tipped over as you tried to load them. The rollers/ tracks did not work at all, and the silverware trays fell over constantly. 5. The stove and grill lighters did not work. We had to constantly light each burner with a flame starter each time. In short, this is not a good vacation property

Large open space, good for large gathering. Home was not in very good condition and not as described in photos. Owner shared pool table felt was recently torn, but usable. It was not usable, and the felt in very bad condition. Foosball table in pool area was very rusty and dirty, unusable. Carpet in home is very stained and worn. Entry Mat had holes in it and wood furniture worn. Not a great first impression. Drapes were removed with paint where hardware was not touched up. Owner shared Stove top didn’t light unless you had a lighter. Owner shared garbage hadn’t been picked up yet. Still wasn’t picked up after we left. With all that said, the home is great for those who want to have a party and don’t care how clean it is. Owner was very nice and communicated as we needed him. While he shared some of the issues, it was much worse than he described. There should be a reduced price based on the condition of the home. Beautiful setting in a very private neighborhood. We would recommend if some of these items were attended to.

Nice home with plenty of room for all. Had a few questions and owner ( Dennis) was quick to respond and help us out. Our family loves Sand Harbor and other beaches along the lake so we were gone most the day. Nights were pleasant with use if fans thru out the home. Kitchen stocked with all thats necessary and huge table to seat all.

This house was a wonderful get away for our family of 15 plus a newborn! Enough bedrooms and bathrooms that we all had privacy when needed and also large gathering areas that easily fit us all. The pool room, main living room and balcony were our favorite places to hang out. Before going, some in our party were concerned that the kitchen was not going to be roomy enough for all of us (3-4) to be in there cooking, but the layout and where the stove is located opened up the working space in the kitchen that it easily fit all of us who were cooking. And the property manager was very easy to get a hold of and was great about reaching out to us when I had not responded to his email (it ended up in my spam folder). Would definitely recommend and enjoy staying again.

Great property with lots of space and amenities. The indoor pool and sauna were definitely the favorites along with the numerous bedrooms. We had 15 people staying and everyone slept comfortably. Easy check in process and communication with the manager made things go very smoothly. Definitely would stay here again. It’s 15-20 minutes for casinos and lakeside locations.

What an incredible property. The check in/ out process was clearly detailed, and easy to follow. Loved how HUGE the house was. Indoor pool was an amazing time, the GIANT table, the two dishwashers, the lovely decks, and the amount of bedrooms was just the icing on top. Couldn't recommend this property enough for a fun time with friends, family, or really any kind of get together!

We stayed at this property with friends and family and we had kids ranging from all ages and adults of all ages. We all enjoyed this beautiful home in a very quite area close to all amenities that South Lake Tahoe provides. The hose was clean and spacious and very convenient. We loved the indoor pool and Jacuzzi and the open and spacious grand room. Home theater and spacious driveway. This home had everything you can ask for all the bedrooms had attached bathroom and there was extra bathroom and shower by the pool and powder room by kitchen. Over we enjoyed our stay and the management and Owner were very kind and hospitable. We will definitely love to rent from them again.

We had such a great experience at this property. Plenty of space and amenities. Recommend this place especially for big groups.

We were three families of 4, and this space was perfect, there are some things here and there that don’t always work but for the most part everything is great.

The house was great for a long weekend with family. The house is very comfortable and can accommodate a lot of people. Our kids enjoyed the indoor pool and playing in the snow outside.

The house itself is huge and was well stocked for basic needs. The owner was very communicative and easy to reach. Plenty of dishes and cooking tools. We did have to supply extra trash bags, laundry soap, toilet paper and paper towels. Luckily there are nearby grocery stores. The property was perfect for sledding and snow play. The theater and pool downstairs were awesome and provided lots of entertainment for our families. The fireplaces kept us warm even during the NYE storm that knocked out power for a few hours. A couple of things - there were absolutely no working flashlights and the extra batteries did not fit the two flashlights available. There were no candles and the emergency plug in lights did not work either, so though we were warm, there was no light when the power went out. We ended up using glow sticks that we brought for the kids to celebrate NYE with for light. Some of the appliances were not well maintained (the two dishwashers, while great, were kind of a pain in the butt to roll out the bottom rack for loading) and the coffee pot was missing its lid, so no way to keep the coffee warm (there is a Keurig, though). The drain in the master bathroom shower was also slow to drain but not that big of a deal. However, overall, it was a good house for 6 adults and 6 small kids and we had a fantastic time!

This was a really great property. It was large enough to accommodate our whole family very comfortably. The beds are very comfortable. There is plenty to do in the house, with the hot tub, indoor swimming pool, pool table etc. we were very happy there. We all agreed that if we get back to Lake Tahoe we would definitely want to return to this house. Dennis was easy and great to communicate with. Very happy with our stay.

Having the piano & pool table in the large living area was very nice. Has everything to offer for a large group; separate areas for activities but large gathering area availability. Be sure to verify availability of fans for summer rental, very useful.

Overall the house is very impressive. Well constructed and a good floor plan. We had a very enjoyable stay and hope to come back. Dennis was easy to work with and available if we had problems.

We can not say enough great things about this property! The beautiful house and convenient location. Everyone had so much fun this weekend. The pool and hot tub was perfect for this relaxing trip. We had an anniversary celebration on Saturday and it was fabulous! Definitely coming back!

Everyone had a wonderful time at this home. Dennis was very prompt in returning texts and very responsive. The kitchen is very well equipped, 2 dishwashers and multiple washing machines. The beds were very comfortable, which is one of the most important things to me. The indoor pool is a nice feature but it was a bit too chilly for the kids. It was cold and snowy and that may have impacted the temperature. The kids loved the theatre room and watched movies every night. There are some signs of wear… but considering the size of the home and the fact that there can be snow… we thought it was great!

December 29, 2021 Hi Dennis, First, thank you for opening your house to us. It is wonderfully laid out and full of activities. The activities’ part was particularly important because we were unable to leave the premises for the entire time of our stay. Because it was such a wonderful place for us to be stranded, I thought you would want to know about the following maintenance issues we observed. This is not intended to be a criticism but rather, a heads up on things you might want to be aware of. Master Suite - Broken lamp on end table Outside patio light burnt out Missing drain plug on vanity sink and this drains very slowly Kitchen - Turntable in microwave not working Refrigerator ice dispenser not working Dishwasher to right of sink not working Garbage disposal not working, and plunger needed to clear water from sink Upstairs Bedroom Thermostat not working Battery changed in smoke detector, but it will not stay closed It’s unfortunate that the plumber was understandably unable to come on Monday but the only plumbing issues we encountered were the garbage disposal in the kitchen and the vanity sink in the Master Suite. We had a wonderful time and created family memories we will enjoy for a long time. Sincerely, Sharon

If you're looking for a large home to stay with family and friends, this is a great option. The kitchen was large and the amenities from the pool table, pool, and theater room made for a memorable trip. Would love to stay here again!

This house was great for hosting friends and family for our wedding weekend. Lots of space and amenities even when filled with adults. I would definitely stay here again. The only things I would note is that there are quite a few rules to follow that can feel intimidating with a large group but we didn’t have any problems at all! The host explains them really well and there are plenty of reminders. There are a few features in the house that show signs of wear-and-tear but for a house designed to host large groups, it’s not bad at all! As I said, I would definitely stay here again! This property really does comfortably accommodate up to 16 people however there were some disappointing discoveries upon arrival. The foldout couch is in terrible shape and should no longer be advertised. The netting that holds up the mattress is ripped so the mattress hangs onto the floor in one corner. We had two children planned for that pull out mattress and they ended up sleeping on the floor. The property is also surprisingly short on amenities. For a nightly rate in this range, I was disappointed to learn that we had to provide our own trash bags, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, and there were no sheets provided for the foldout couch and no extra linens or towels anywhere in the home. We were very surprised to discover there was not a single extra set of linens anywhere in the home other than the linens on the beds and the towels on the rack. The carpet in the home has clearly needed to be deep cleaned for some time. Several spots were pretty crunchy. We also were surprised when we fired up the grill and couldn’t find a grill brush or a metal turner anywhere in the kitchen. For the price, a rental like this should have multiples of everything you'd need. Lastly, the appliances are in pretty rough shape. The fridge performed poorly, the ice maker didn’t work until our last day, and the freezer took 48 hours to freeze our groceries, which were transferred from ice cold coolers directly to the freezer. There are two dishwashers which is great but both are in desperate need of service and one is not mounted to the cabinet so it falls over every time you open the door. It’s a great property that has the potential to comfortably accommodate a large group however, for the price, we were expecting a much more polished experience.

We hosted 12 family and friends for a long weekend in August. The place worked extremely well for our needs, though some of our guests were uncomfortable with the warm temperatures. It was unseasonably hot in Tahoe (though this may become more common in the future), and most properties in the area, including this one, do not have air conditioning. There's nothing to be done about this, but I'd avoid renting properties like this one if you have guests that are uncomfortable with 82+F temperatures inside. Communication with Dennis was easy and pleasant. It's obviously challenging to keep a large, complex house like this running perfectly, and I know that some large groups and people can be extremely rough on things. The house includes high-end appliances, but we had the misfortune that both dishwashers were inoperable during our stay. We waived Dennis off from attempting repairs while we were there, and used the hand washing as a team-building exercise. I separately spoke with Dennis to provide him with a list of other maintenance suggestions from my perspective as a nit-picky engineer and former property manager. He was gracious in receiving this feedback. As one example, if you plan on playing the baby grand piano, you might want to check to see if it's been tuned recently. It's obviously been a while, and when we stayed the piano was much more beautiful to see than it was to hear. Now, on to the highlights: my family can have unreasonably high standards for bedding, and they were pleased with the comfort of our beds. Having an indoor, private pool was an amazing experience that we all enjoyed. Our group also loved playing pool in the spacious living room next to the wonderfully large dinning table. I don't know if it's mentioned in the description, but there's a nice new refrigerator in the garage that we used to cool down beverages and store a large cake separate from the large fridge in the kitchen. This was very convenient. We would rent the property again in heartbeat, though preferably during cooler weather.

The pictures do this property no justice! The walls are painted white now. Huge house, with plenty of space. We had 10 adults and 5 children/teens. Owner was great also, very polite and always available. Only things I could say bad about the place would be the lack of AC, as it was rather hot this summer, and I don’t really like the placement/open ness of the hot tub area. It seems like you’re in the front lawn. Even still definitely a 5 star listing!

Good! Location good and house size perfect for large family gathering. Should have been told that no outdoor furniture is provided. It is summer and the deck was bare and nothing available. We had to buy outdoor chairs! Bath rugs obviously not laundered. Freezer door in kitchen refrigerator did not close adequately and food defrosted, ice cream melted and ice melted. Freezer basket was put in backwards which we discovered when cleaning up the mess. Ice dispenser in refrigerator door did not work. Substitute for missing coffee carafe did not work to make coffee. Wine refrigerator in kitchen not functioning. Both dishwashers were not properly installed and bottom shelves fall out. Many window blinds need to be replaced or repaired.

We send Mother’s Day celebration with our family to this big beautiful house… clean and organized… owner Daniel is so helpful and respond on time…we just had an amazing vacation!!! We definitely highly recommend Daniel!!!

Our group had a very great experience at the property. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. The outdoor scenery was perfect. This property has everything you need swimming pool, sauna, theater, pool table, Jacuzzi, plenty of rooms and restrooms and even an elevator. 12 minutes away from Town and the Marina. Overall 10/10
