The home was in an awesome location to hike the mountains around Lake Placid and close to lots of places to eat. We had 5 adults stay here and it couldnt have been better.

We recently had a short but very pleasant stay in Mr. Simon's Lake Placid Townhome. The property is located within walking distance of many of downtown's restaurants and shops. The rooms are very clean and well suited for our gathering of six adult couples. The owner responded to our questions quickly and accommodated our wish to check in a bit earlier than the standard time. We would highly recommend this place as your base to explore the Lkae Placid area.

This property was clean and comfortable. Perfect for our small family of four to enjoy a long weekend in Lake Placid. We enjoyed our stay and may be back!

As a family of adults who regularly travel together it is sometimes difficult to meet all the needs and requests of each family member, overall this property met all our wants, with sufficient space for all of us to be together and separate as desired. The host communicated well with us prior to arrival and there were clear instructions on accessing the property and how to obtain local help in an emergency. There were a couple of minor repairs needed that were not an emergency and did not affect our holiday and we have advised the host of these and are sure they will be taken care of before the next guests arrive. Once we had worked out the heating system it remained warm for the duration of our stay, a real blessing due to the very unpredictable weather we encountered. We renamed the house icicle cottage not due to the cold but due to the beautiful icicles that had formed on the tree outside the kitchen window. We had to dig our way to the car one morning, this was made simple by the snow shovel in the outside storage area. We were a little concerned that it would by icy when we returned that evening, we needn’t have worried on our return the path had been totally cleared and gritted. The house was clean on arrival with clean bedding and plenty of clean towels. The kitchen was well equipped for making simple meals. The fridge caused much amusement as a knocking noise could be heard every time you opened and closed the door a fun holiday memory to be sure. The property was well within walking distance of the main Street and Mirror Lake for the younger generations with the free local bus stopping a short walk away, but the car was needed for the oldest generation of the family. This property contributed to our amazing experience in Lake Placid and should we visit again we would not hesitate to re-book this property.

This unit was perfect for our stay! It was very clean and was exactly how pictures portrayed it. The access was easy and clear instructions on everything. We are already planning out next stay.

Nice location, kitchen is well stocked, overall comfortable, could use more space in the dining area , good communication and flexibility by the owner/ manager. We had an enjoyable stay!

Ideally located within a mile walk of Main Street in Lake Placid. Múltiple bathrooms and bedrooms made it a terrific stay.

The condo is well equipped with everything you need for a great time. We used the fireplace and played some of the games. The kitchen is well equipped. We cook and enjoyed many great meals. The layout allows for maximum privacy even with 3 couples and kids. The master bedroom on the lower floor is continuous with its bathroom. It is a bit awkward if someone else is in the room. It also has a little alcove for reading with many books which was a nice feature. The upstairs has 2 bedrooms, one was perfect for kids with twin beds, a bathroom and a nice size bedroom for the parents. There is another very large bedroom on the main floor with a king bed, window seat and a bathroom. The location is perfect. Near town, ski areas and although in a condo complex the views from the windows were of trees and mountains. Cozy and private. Only problem: When we arrived the place had not been cleaned from the last guests. There were a few panicked phone calls since it was the beginning of Christmas weekend but Thomas and the cleaning service took care of it. He nicely refunded me some money to compensate for the trouble. He was a pleasure to deal with. I doubt this would not happen again. I would highly recommend this home and Thomas as an excellent host.

This place was perfect for our winter vacation with our extended family. There was a ton of space and beds, and everything was clean. It was a great location and only took about five minutes to get into town. There was a pile of wood left for us and we were to make fires every night we were there. The kitchen had everything we needed – pots, pans, coffee pot and filters, etc.. just remember to bring your own shampoo and soap! :)

My party had a wonderful time staying at this property. It was spacious and offered just the right amenities for a small vacation. Another great characteristic about this rental property is it’s location. All within walking distance to the downtown area for shopping, food, drinks, etc.. We would absolutely stay again.

We had a great time and enjoyed the property. The owner allowed us to disconnect the cameras, and we plugged them back in when leaving. The unit was clean and everything worked well.

Only negative were the creepy cameras that are not in the listing. Property owner has cameras throughout the home, its very strange and made the stay a little uncomfortable that someone was watching!

The property is clean and well maintained. It is close to town, but not really within walking distance (at least not in frigid weather). Lovely fireplace which we really enjoyed.

This was our second stay at the Pinehill Townhome for our annual winter hiking weekend. It is very comfortable and spacious. It easily accommodated our group of 7 adults. The kitchen was supplied with everything we needed to cook all of our meals. The living room was comfortable and warm allowing us to relax in front of the fireplace on a sub-zero night. The owner was very flexible and worked with us when we needed to alter our plans. Overall we had a great stay. Highly recommended!

This property is in a fantastic location...located just off Sentinal Road, it is centrally located between downtown Lake Placid and Route 73 towards Keene, so the perfect location to take advantage of a multitude of hiking trails as well as restaurants and shopping. The unit is tucked off the main road, so no road noise (makes for a great nights sleep!!), yet easy access to everything the area has to offer. We were able to walk to dinner several evenings and there is a small liquor store & mini-mart located right around the corner. Thomas, our host, was extremely helpful and always promptly responded when we contacted him. Check-in/check-out was super easy and the property is extremely clean and tidy. Kitchen was adequate for our daily pre-hike big breakfast . I did bring my own large pans and baking sheets since, as expected, the pots & pans, etc... were mostly small (would definitely have not accommodated cooking for 6-8 persons). Kitchen was not as well stocked with cooking equipment (casserole dishes, large mixing bowls, etc...) as in past rentals, but was adequate. While we were mostly happy with the unit, we were a bit surprised to find the "open concept" bathroom in the queen suite where my husband and I stayed. There is no door for privacy as the entire bathroom is open to the bedroom area (?!). After 32 years of marriage, it was not a huge deal for us, but be forewarned if you are newly dating or sharing the room with a friend. This was not clear in the descriptions or photos of the property. Also, the mattress in the queen suite is due for replacement as we kept rolling into the center of the bed (we are not large people). We also noticed the "musty basement" odor in the queen suite (mentioned in other reviews), but turning the heat up seemed to help and it wasn't a real problem for us. The living room furniture was comfy; however, there is only seating for 6 (4 on the sofa and two club chairs)...not sure how that would work with 8 guests. As stated, Thomas was extremely accommodating and made our stay very easy. We also appreciated the refund policy (with COVID, you never know). All-in-all, it was a very nice unit for the price and we would consider renting here again.

It was a very enjoyable stay. The host made sure that guests didn’t lack anything. I will recommend this place to my friends.

Great stay in a nice location, and beautiful property.

I am struggling to review this. Check-in and check-out was very easy. Location was convenient. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was well-stocked and clean. Bathrooms were fine. Living room was dusted and comfortable. Problem was the downstairs suite. There was a very strong unpleasant odor that did not dissipate. We didn't want to open the windows downstairs because there was heavy moss growing on the outside of the window. We alerted the owner who was unaware and he promised he would address it. I just can't give higher than 3 stars to a property that I would not rent again. If I was sure the issue was resolved, I would rate higher.

Overall this was a great location and close enough to be in walking distance to town. Place was clean and as described, view was obstructed by trees in summer but still nice and lots of towels and supplies. It got a little stuffy on some really humid days but plenty of fans to help. 3 levels of living great for extended family. Basement bedroom is very nice but can be stuffy/basement feel in the air. Overall a very nice stay at this VRBO.

Great location for Ironman activities.. Owner was very helpful with communication. Cypher lock on front door was a tremendous convenience.

The property was perfect for our family. We enjoyed sitting on the wrap around deck. The house was clean and well-stocked. Loved having the option of using the games that were provided. It was excellent.
