Retreat location on the edge one of the nicest villages for vacationers we have ever visited.

We thoroughly enjoyed! Very clean and cute cottage! The host and hostess were very informative and thoughtful! We especially enjoyed viewing the deer coming up to the fence and watching the humming birds coming to feed. We want to go back!!!

I can not stay enough good things about the "Cottage". It was incredibly clean, the chairs were comfortable, the bed was comfortable, and the decore was charming. Every morning and evening my husband and I sat on the back porch and watched the wildlife. I loved the layout of the cottage. The fireplace, the kitchen, the bathroom (which could be accessed from either the living room or the bedroom.) It was ADA compliant. No thresholds between room or the shower. It had the feeling of being in the country, but was moments from downtown Fredericksburg.

This is a great cottage for a getaway in Fredericksburg. The house is super clean and the hosts were great. It is in a great location that is close to all the stuff in town, but also immersed in nature.

We live in Central Texas and are no strangers to Fredericksburg. We wanted to get away for a few days and bring our pet with us. We couldn’t have asked for more-quiet, peaceful, welcoming, exceptionally clean and well stocked with everything from paper goods to spices-even treats for our pet! The back porch was phenomenal! We hope to return in the winter months to experience the wood fireplace!

This property definitely deserves an overall 10+ rating. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay and found our Nextdoor hosts super friendly and helpful. The cottage was perfect in every way! We would rent it again above other rentals we’ve had in town and will recommend it to friends and family!

My husband and I work long hours and then work around the house, yard, and garden on the weekend. Sometimes we just need to get away, this cute cottage was the perfect place to forget about our jobs and responsibilities that everyday life brings! The cottage was well stocked with amenities, we didn’t have to go to the grocery store for anything! Snacks were provided! Enjoyed feeding the deer, with the corn the owners provided for us. Great weekend!

We visit Fredericksburg at the beginning of their peach season. We looked at VRBO properties that allowed dogs for visits, and we selected The Cottage on Spotted Fawn. Lynn responded promptly after we made the reservation. She provided rental information and directions. She met us when we arrived and gave us a lot of information. Lynn was very cordial and a great host. The cottage was simply darling. It was located close to the down town area but it felt like real country. The backyard of the cottage bordered a 1500 acre ranch and the back patio overlooked the ranch property. It was wonderful sitting out on the back patio every evening as well as in the morning, as we drank fresh coffee.The cottage was immaculate and tastefully decorated. It was very comfortable and very quiet. Several deer ran across the ranch property and we always watched hummingbirds as well as other types of birds. The kitchen was very well equipped with all kinds of utensils and dishes. We prepared most of our meals inhouse during our stay. Lynn provided extensive literature regarding local restaurants, stores and things to do.She even provided a summary on the various peach orchards in the area. We enjoyed our stay at the cottage and highly recommend it for others to enjoy.

The property was very clean, centrally located and the hosts provided everything we needed for our trip. We highly recommend this property for anyone traveling to Fredericksburg.

This was our second time staying at this beautiful cottage. We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend and look forward to our next stay here. It is in a quiet neighborhood close to amenities.

This property was an oasis. The cottage was clean with plenty of towels and blankets. Loved the back patio. We saw deer, hummingbirds, cows and an array of birds. It was a nice neighborhood that was quiet and close to downtown. I highly recommend this property.

Beautiful, clean, wonderful place. Owner gave great instructions on where to arrive and how to use any and all appliances. Everything was comfortable, great getaway. Would rent again and recommend.

The cottage is spacious and charming and Lynn and Jerry go above and beyond to make sure that you have a wonderful stay. They truly have thought of everything. You are sent information about the area, restaurants suggestions, things to do etc. The setting is also beautiful, with deer and cows in the pasture and yet minutes to town. Favorite B & B and hosts ever!

What a charming and comfy cottage! It exceeded our expectations and we hope to go back when we can stay longer! The property owners thought of everything. They had goodies there for us, coupons to restaurants, recommendations on places to eat and visit. I could go on and on. The property owners are close by in case they are needed. They were easy to communicate with in preparing for our visit. The place is clean and the bed is great. The cottage is on the edge of town, but if you sit in the backyard, it looks like you are way out in the country, and you are likely to see deer. I wouldn't change a thing about our stay in this cottage.

There are so many lovely things I can say about this cottage and the owners. They left us a beautiful card to congratulate us on our recent engagement which I just mentioned a few weeks prior to our visit. The cottage felt like walking into our own home. Comfort from the moment you stepped in. We were even able to see some deer on our first morning after arriving! I can’t wait for our next trip to Fredericksburg so we can stay here again!

This one bedroom cottage is just adorable! I use a walker and it is set up very nicely for mobil disabilities. Lynn's decorating and attention to the smallest items is totally perfect. While the inside is incredible, the outside porch and patio were beautiful. The patio faces a wooded pasture. We could put food out for deer and sure enough, one early morning we saw a beautiful buck, doe and fawn!

The cottage had everything we could’ve possibly needed. It was beautifully decorated and well stocked, very comfortable, and beautiful location.

This was our second time staying at Spotted Fawn cottage- we actually planned our trip around a week that it was available. The hosts provide wonderful hospitality, a beautiful cottage, and great communication. It is easily the nicest vrbo we have ever spent time at.

A lovely home away from home; all our needs were met. A great location for watching local wildlife, walking, jogging, biking, star gazing and relaxing. The owners are super and available if needed.

Property was exactly as described in listing. Very clean, thoughtfully stocked with essentials. Quick drive to all the shops and restaurants in town but also far enough away to be peaceful and quiet. One note to be aware of if you are traveling with pets: there is a $30 fee per night that was not clear to me based on the property listing. It might have been my oversight but mentioning here in case others miss it.

We have stayed in a lot of VRBO’s before but this was like staying in a luxury hotel. The owners have thought of everything. We are talking about going back this June for our anniversary.

We stayed at Lynn and Jerry’s cottage for our anniversary weekend and we were blown away at how beautiful this cottage is. The location is perfect. The back patio view of the neighboring ranch and wildlife was exactly what we were looking for, and we were only moments from town and restaurants, the best combination. The cottage is in a neighborhood, but once you’re in it or on the patio you don’t really feel like it. The communication with Lynn was the best I’ve ever had with any host. Lynn and Jerry have thought about everything! We were provided with clear instructions for check in/out, notes about operating things in the cottage, restaurant recommendations and menus, dog friendly recommendations, and even a coupon for dining! The cottage was extremely clean and well decorated. We were there the weekend prior to Valentine’s Day and there were small Valentines decor touches throughout that we thought were lovely, and just made it that much sweeter for us. Between the decor, the firewood already placed in the fireplace for us, the fluffy blankets and robes, we truly felt the luxury of staying here. The kitchen was lovely and had everything we needed. Having quick snacks and coffee and creamer provided by the hosts for a quick getaway like this are the touches that made this experience memorable and easy for us to just enjoy our time with each other. We would love to return to this cottage the next time we’re in the area! Thank you Lynn and Jerry!

Terrific property, very relaxing and feels like home. As my wife said, you have thought of everything and the cabin is so well-appointed. Feeding the deer was a great way to start the evening!

The cottage is better than advertised. Every detail is considered inside. It’s close to town, but you feel like you’re in the country. It’s very comfortable and easy to relax. We will definitely be back
