Really, the country, beautiful! The house, fantastic! The manager, super attentive snd helpful! Weather, perfect! Excursions.. exciting and so FUN! Can’t remember a better trip!!!

The ad is MISLEADING as to the condition of the house and the view. The house is old, tired, and not being taken care of. On arrival it was dirty and not cleaned properly. Dirty floors, and the kitchen smells like rotten fish. Dirty dishes left behind. Cabinets were cleared out of any kind of pantry items. The pots and pans are garbage and scratched up. No wifi until the 2nd day of our stay that was on and off. No propane for the BBQ, and then ran out of propane for the stove, with no spares. Broken appliances- drink fridge and fans. The only TV in the house is in the living room with no services. Bedrooms are dated, in poor state, with views blocked by bush and trees. The master bedroom seen in the ad (2nd level with the only ocean view) is only available at extra cost that was not mentioned prior to heard from the pool deck. The “Ocean View” in the VRBO pictures dated and inaccurate. There is barely a view of the ocean as trees and brush have grown since blocking 90% of the view. The pool was broken about a foot below level and not filtering as a result. Over 10 days it became disgusting. It was never fixed. All furniture is old and broken down. No beach equipment. Water pressure is on and off, and shut off for 5 days by manager trying to fill the well. Wasn’t able to shower several days. The house next door is a garage with banging, grinding and barking dog all day. Random people walk through the house without warning. Manager will ignore your messages when confronted.

Amazing Oceanview property. 7 separate suites, big pool, outdoor dining area. Well cared for, perfect for large group. Owner was great and very Accommodating. Worked well with us and provided extra recommendations. Definitely love to come back

It's a bit off the beaten path, and that's exactly what our group was looking for. It was worth every second when we got to the Villa on the hill. It's not often that you can say the property is better than the pictures, but this is definitely one of those times. It exceeded all of our expectations from beginning to end. Patricia was great and extraordinarily helpful in organizing our activities (which are so plentiful, it became difficult to narrown down), it made coordinating the trip a breeze. Couldn't recommend the property, or Domenical as a destination in a magical country any more than I do.

Villa Ambiente is a beautiful facility. It was a short (5-7min) drive from a beginner surf beach (Dominicalito), and about 3 minutes longer to a more advanced surf beach (Dominical). The jungle was amazing, the pool at the property perfect. Patricia was always available to help with scheduling excursions. She dealt with any problems we had immediately. The beds were comfortable. The rooms were air conditioned and had everything we needed. I highly recommend Villa Ambiente and Patricia!

Villa Ambiente was spectacular. The views were amazing. The rooms were great each with its own bathroom plus extra bathrooms at different areas of the common areas. Pool was big and outdoor areas were able for our group of 13. Host was super helpful and responsive. Driveway was long and a little steep but not too bad. Used the road to the place as a morning hike and run. Just across the road to Dominicalito beach and Dominical and Uvita towns. Lots of wildlife to view from the place. All in all an amazing place for a group of friends and couples to be together. Definitely recommend this place and plan to come back here.

Great house with a layout that allows for everyone to be together while still allowing privacy in your sleeping rooms. Pool is large, great views, good outdoor furniture, and a huge table for meals. Every bedroom is the same size- very roomy. Just across the street from Dominicalito beach.

We loved our stay here. It was so beautiful & very private. We had our family of sixteen and we had plenty of room for everyone. The pool was beautiful and that’s where we spent most of our time. Highly recommend staying here. Patricia was very helpful with activities and any issues that came up.

This was my second stay here at this villa. It's a great place to stay for large groups. I love the layout and the beautiful fountain and greenery outside of the rooms. Everyone has their own space and there are plenty of areas to sit and spread out around the vila. We watched wildlife and heard the toucans daily. The pool is big and fun for all! A couple of downsides would be the outdoor furniture is a little tired and sag in the middle from the years of hosting. Nothing has been updated in the last 7 years since I've been here. The kitchen is small and the items for cooking meals are showing their age or nonexistent. I mentioned to the caretaker that the kitchen needs an overhaul so hopefully they will take that into consideration. We hired a chef for 3 nights and that was the best decision ever. The caretaker was awesome at the time of our stay and was available if we needed anything last minute. He went above and beyond to be an excellent host! Overall, it's a great place to stay surrounded by nature and fantastic views. Just hire the chef and you'll be good.

Our stay at Villa Ambiente was amazing, it really did exceed our expectations. I bought a group of yoga friends for a week and we really enjoyed it . We will definitely be back . It is close by to some great restaurants and waterfalls. we had the Private Chef cater for our evening meals they where amazing. Yoga mats and equipment would be nice for the future.

This is our 3rd trip to Costa Rica and our best VRBO experience. The property is gorgeous. We had a couple of technical issues, but Landon took care of us quickly and is an amazing host. Sonja was super nice and a pleasant surprise. We will recommend this property.

The property was managed professionally and with attention to detail by the administrator Landon. The housekeeper (Sonia) was efficient and friendly - doing an exceptional job. The property is close to many beaches, stores and restaurants. It was a great experience and highly recommend it.

Great views in a very unique property. The setup created a ton of opportunity for our large group to gather and spend quality time together.

There were 12 of us, ages 60- 90. Communicating with Landon, Property Manager, was flawless. He answered are questions and anticipated our needs. Sonia, who singlehanded is her own Clean Team, kept the house, our rooms and laundry cleaned daily. We are already making plans to return

The house was even more gorgeous in person!!! We had a very large group and Landon and Sonia were awesome!! They were very responsive and even arranged for private chefs and spa services at the house, which were amazing! We would highly recommend staying at Villa Ambiente and we will definitely be back!

Villa Ambiente, surrounded by tropical jungle life, is absolutely beautiful! The living areas and bedrooms are spacious and lovely. In the early morning, I loved looking beyond the pool to the butterflies, and hummingbirds, toucans, and other birds of Costa Rica. The only problems we encountered were in the kitchen, none of which was insurmountable. Somehow, Housekeeper Sonia was able to keep up with our messy family and we appreciated her care. Landon was always responsive and helpful, both during the months of planning activities and catered meals, as well as during our stay. I enthusiastically recommend this property.

We had an awesome stay at Villa Ambiente. The house was in a beautiful location. Our group was ten people and we had plenty of room to spread out with privacy, The road up the hill to the house turned out to be a popular hike each morning for some folks in our crew. Landon, the property manager was awesome in helping us in many ways to make our trip run smoothly. Bring a pair of binoculars, we had Sloths, Toucans and monkeys near the house. Sonya the regular cleaning gal was awesome and knew how to clean regularly and be hardly noticeable, Highly recommend this house and the whole crew that comes with.!

We spent a week at Villa Ambiente with our friends and had iur wedding ceremony there. It was the perfect venue. Beautiful setting, great pool, so much nature, all wonderful . The only cool complaint we have is the kitchen which is very old, appliances don’t work well and it is poorly equipped. We felt for the chefs we had coming to cook there but they still pulled wonderful menus out.

It was pretty cool waking up to different kinds of insects each morning. The views, the pool, the spacious rooms with balconies are definitely worth the trek up the mountain!!!

The Villa was stunning. We loved everything about staying here. Landon is an incredible property manager and very attentive. He was available at all times to answer questions and give us recommendations. Sonya is the sweetest and best housekeeper. The laundry service was awesome. We had the chefs come and enjoyed lots of local excursions. One of our favorite things to do were to visit the local waterfalls. Landon set up parasailing for us and the guys we went with were awesome. The snorkeling trip to cano Island was not our favorite. The guides were awesome and the lunch was very good but the weather ended up making the experience (especially the hour and a half boat ride) miserable and we were disappointed the tour guides didn’t recommend changing the date under the circumstances. It was a huge waste of a lot of money. So make sure if you do any snorkeling trips you watch the weather yourself and ask a lot of questions about whether the water will be choppy or clear enough to see anything or not. But as for the property is concerned, it was gorgeous and we’d love to visit again.

This villa is everything you can ask for and much more! The views are gorgeous, every bedroom has a private bathroom which was definitely convenient when traveling in large groups. Landon was an incredible host from beginning to end! He helped us book some of our activities prior to our arrival and was always there for anything we needed. Sonia the housekeeper is a sweetheart. If you're in between staying here and going somewhere else, don't even think about it twice. Look forward to coming back in the future!

Our family of 9 (ages 4 to 67) had the best time, and declared this to be one of the best rentals we have ever stayed in! We explored the area with Landon's help, but were always glad to go back to enjoy the house. We spent so much time on the veranda and in the pool! The chef's meals were so delicious -- glad we didn't stick to the menu but told him to prepare what was fresh and local! Landon was a tremendous help with everything from minor kitchen glitches to guiding us to an emergency clinic with the best care an 8 year old with a busted lip could have asked for! Our last day we saw a toucan feet from the veranda! The drive needs a 4-wheel-drive vehicle and is bumpy, but it's also beautiful and adds to the seclusion. A week was not enough to experience everything we wanted to, and we are already talking about going back. I strongly recommend booking this property!

Loved this house! Pool is big and fantastic! Pool is kept sparkling clean and the water temp was perfect. This clean house easily accommodated our group of 9. The bedrooms are all large with their own bathrooms. A super bonus for our group was the large ice maker, such a treat to have plenty of ice on hand. We will definitely be back! Wonderful place to relax!

This property is perfect for large families or friends. Common areas and pool were great. Property manager made us feel like family.

We were a family of 14 that stayed in Villa Ambiente for 8 nights. We waited a long time for it and it was worth the wait. The property is as advertised and beautiful. Landon was responsive with any issues and Sonia the housekeeper is a very sweet lady who is quiet as a mouse when working.

I could not recommend this villa more! I stayed here with 8 or so friends and we all had an incredible time. The villa is absolutely beautiful with plenty of space and rooms to accommodate such a large group. Landon was also amazing - very friendly, helpful, and gave good recommendations. He was very quick to respond and was very helpful as we were preparing for the trip and throughout our stay. The location of the villa is also incredible. Dominicalito and Dominical are both great towns with plenty of good restaurant options. Only thing I would mention because some of us were working during our stay is the power very occasionally but is to be expected on the top of a mountain in Costa Rica and was fixed quickly when it happened. Also very much recommend booking the private chef- Roy and his team were incredible and the food was delicious. I could not recommend this villa more and will definitely be back to visit!

Wow what a destination and what a house. Our group of 10 has such an outstanding time staying in this house and enjoying all the beauty that surrounds it. Landon was there to answer all our questions and to help out in anyway. Having a housekeeper come in everyday was such a nice compliment to what was already a splendid choice in accommodations. Great memories.

We had such an incredible stay at Villa Ambiente for my 40th birthday party with all my close friends! Landon, who is originally from the US, was so easy to communicate with. He personally set up our in-house chef, dinner reservations, and excursions so our stay was seamless and stress-free. I would highly recommend this property to any of my friends interested in staying in the area. The house is beautiful and clean with breath-taking vistas. I hope to return there one day!
