This condo was absolute perfection. And Holly was very easy to communicate with. We had the best time. Easy communication via email, phone # if we needed it, easy check in, parking in the shade, gorgeous condo. So many extras throughout; coffee, snacks, laundry detergent, beach chairs, coolers, flashlights, boogie boards… I could go on and on. The washer/dryer inside condo was terrific! I had no laundry to do when I got home. It was a real treat. The best were all the little notes throughout the condo. I especially liked the one about how to fold up the beach chairs!! It’s so true!! I laughed out loud!!All in all we really enjoyed our stay here. Condo was great. Location perfect for us. Quiet. Ocean waves lulling us to sleep each night. A/C if we needed it. Just pure bliss. I would definitely stay here again. Loved every minute. Holly - let us know when you want to sell!!! 😂

We had a great stay here. The inside of the condo is stunning. The condo was also very well stocked, we had plenty of towels, beach chairs, coolers, and such. I loved sitting on the balcony and watching the surfers.

This condo instantly feels like home—spotless & welcoming! Start with a stop at Costco to load up on your favorites, or there's a Safeway. All you need to bring is a bathing suit, hiking gear, and casual dining clothes; everything else is taken care of.
A few Highlights: Begin with a visit to a coffee farm—we chose Greenwell. A day trip to explore waterfalls at Umauma (only $5 if you skip the Zipline), and then head to Akaka Falls on your way to the Mauna Kea Summit for an unforgettable sunset (be sure to layer up for this one!)
Coffee Shack in Captain Cook is quaint, followed by a remote swim/snorkel at Manini Beach (bring water shoes!).
For a great Mai Tai, Oceans in Kona has a daily special. It’s not on the water but offers prime people-watching in the heart of the shops. Jackie Rey’s offers delicious food; it’s a bit out of town with limited parking, but well worth it for the culinary experience.
Finally, set aside a full day to explore Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Hike the volcano, drive the Chain of Craters Road and Crater Rim Road—just wow. Or, you can simply stay in the condo, where the sunsets are hypnotizing and the atmosphere is tranquil. We came to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and will definitely be back, even if just for a few days to decompress. The host Holly was easy to communicate with, instructions for check out are clear and there was no “it’s time for your departure” messages allowing an stress-free departure.

This condo was probably the best part of our stay in Hawaii. It was comfortable and clean, meeting all expectations, and with just about everything one would need provided to you (even things like a first aid kit, rain umbrellas, etc). Inviting touches are found throughout. The unit is a short drive from the bustling area of shops and restaurants. Our favorite part of all: the ocean just a matter of feet from the large and comfortable bed. Falling asleep to waves crashing is exactly what we needed— the cherry on top to a wonderful stay.

Beautiful setting, very clean and well equipped with plenty of supplies/towels/paper goods. Beach chairs, umbrella and coolers. We enjoyed this well appointed unit. My only concern wash the washer door front loader needs to be replaced rubber door rim was moldy and smelly.

This vacation was to celebrate our 50th Anniversary. I must say that we have stayed in many rental properties in my life and this was the nicest condo we have ever seen. Everything about it was 1st class, and it was the best stocked rental property ever. I highly recommend this property, and the manager Holly was just wonderful too! She responded quickly to all of my messages and was a joy to deal with. We had a wonderful time here, and thanks so much! We will return for sure...

This condo was one of most well appointed rentals we’ve ever stayed in. It was beautifully decorated, exceptionally clean, and well stocked with everything you’d need to dine in. And the highlight was falling asleep to the ocean waves!

What an amazing property! My husband and I stayed for 6 nights. This condo exceeded our expectations. It is nicely decorated and absolutely spotless. We have never been to a property that was so well stocked. There were 4 beach chairs, numerous umbrellas, beach towels and coolers for the beach. Now for the best part… the view! It can be seen from the kitchen, living room and bedroom. It was an incredible sight to wake up to each morning. We spent much of the time we were there on the lanai. It’s making it difficult to leave.
The building itself could use some sprucing up. The property is weathered and garage looks like it needs some repairs.
If coming to this area again we would absolutely stay here again.

Fantastic accommodation, superbly located, very clean and well equipped. The balcony offers a fantastic view of the sea, the surfers and at the end of the day a memorable sunset. I have traveled the world several times over the years and rented several places, but this place has been my best rental by far. I have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation for a very relaxing holiday.

This was a wonderful condo to rent and would consider renting again. Beautifully remodeled with high end materials. The location and ocean front view were fantastic. It was very quiet in the unit, we never heard road traffic or neighbors - only the ocean! Enjoyed the sunsets, watching the surfers and sea life. The unit had everything we needed and it was in good condition. We didn’t use the A/c but was glad it was an option. Parking was very easy and had plenty of spots. The location was close to dining options, shopping and sightseeing - a great location for exploring the Big Island!

Attention to details and all of the improvements and amenities enhanced our stay here. This was a top notch condo in a great section of Kona. An added bonus was the gorgeous sunsets. We had an amazing stay! The condo is very spacious and the view is incredible. We woke up every morning and watched surfers. Very close to a ton of great restaurants and beaches. 10/10 would recommend.

We enjoyed our stay in this condominium. A few things would have made this stay perfect. When we arrived we did not see signage pointing us to the elevator bank which meant that my 63-year old wife and I had to haul our suitcases up 3 flights of stairs. I looked for elevators but they are not identified anywhere on the property and it was dark and after hours. While the property has 2 beds it really is not a 2 bedroom property. It is more like a modified studio as the main bed is part of the main living area with the option to move 2 large pocket doors that split the living room in half to cordon off the bed into a private place. I do not think anyone would opt to do this as partitioning the bed would remove it from the AC and and windows meaning it would get very warm in there. The second bed is located in a traditional room but sleeping in it may be challenging to infants or light sleepers as traffic noise is very loud as the jalousie-style windows in this room face Ali'i drive and traffic noise is quite loud at all hours of day and night as this street is a main thoroughfare. The second bedroom also lacks air conditioning and it gets exceedingly warm if you close the door.
The place has a very nice view from the balcony overlooking the ocean. The property also has a very generous compliment of appliances, chairs, tables, and kitchenware. The parking was very convenient.
So overall all with just ourselves, the property worked nicely.

Wow! Just WOW! What an amazing unit! I’m telling you, they went all out on the remodel of this unit! I wish the contractor lived in SoCal, I’d hire him/her in a heartbeat! Peaceful, relaxing and non-stop ocean sooth! Holly made our visit a joy and she went out of her way to exceed our desired needs! We WILL return to the Kona Bali Kai.. until next time.. Mahalo!

The condo was amazing and even better then the description. The view from every room was just spectacular! It was extremely quiet in the complex. The only sound was the ocean, which was very calming. We loved the location as we were only a short drive into Kona, but far enough away to not be caught up in the crowds.
Holly, the property manager, was extremely responsive, answering all of our questions before the trip and while we were there. Even on the weekend she saw that a problem was corrected promptly. She made an amazing restaurant recommendation for our anniversary dinner. I would definitely recommend this property.

Our second trip to Kona Bali Kai. Holly is the best. Any property she manages will be splendid. High-end kitchen and linens. Everything was clean and comfortable. The lanai is heaven! We enjoyed watching the waves, the surfers, and the sunset! We would absolutely return!

We spent lots of time relaxing on the lanai. Great location if you like listening to the ocean waves all night (which we did)! 5-10 min. to local beaches, 20-30 min. drive to really nice beaches.

Beautiful location and beautiful condo! Kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans. I really was thankful for the ice maker as well! Laundry machines were perfect. Also the beach supplies were perfect. The bed was a bit firm but that’s the only “con”. The AC worked well to cool off the condo when the sun hit it in the afternoon and helped manage the humidity some evenings. Ocean sounds are the perfect “white noise”. Wonderful stay, hope to return!

This was the best VRBO I've ever stayed at and I'm a VRBO owner myself. Communication was fast unit was accurately describe and very well stocked of paper products, soaps, stocked kitchen, spices, etc. Great location and quiet complex. Just bring your swim suit and toothbrush! Lots of surfers to watch and the tide pools are fun to wade through during low tide.

My husband and I stayed in this unit along with my brother and sister in law for six nights. We loved the location, close to town and everything we wanted to do. The view off the lanai was amazing. It’s a great surfing location, so we watched the surfers every morning while we ate breakfast. We could see whales most mornings, and saw a couple turtles by the rocks right off shore. The condo was very clean and had everything we needed for a perfect. We received a quick response any time we had a question about anything. Thank you for that!

Holly was great to work with and answered a few questions we had upon arrival. Evidently the television in the main area quit working right before we got there and she replaced it the next day while we were out. The views are absolutely amazing from sunrise to gorgeous sunsets. We were fortunate to be able to watch a youth Surfing competition in front of the units in the very large waves during our stay. The unit is extremely well equipped and everything worked beautifully. Ali’i is a busy street and sometimes we could hear loud car radios but mostly we just heard the ocean. Hope to stay here again.

We recently stayed here for 2 weeks. The location is perfect. We absolutely loved the views from the balcony. Watching the surfers every morning was a blast. There was even a surf competition the first few days we were there. We would definitely stay here again. The owners have thought of everything. We will definitely be back.

First, Holly and the owners were extremely accommodating in rebooking our stay due to Covid and other personal circumstances.
The condo was beautifully furnished and stocked with everything we could possibly need to make our stay comfortable. It’s in a great, central location for exploring the island and is just a short drive to many good restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

This was the perfect place to stay. Over looking the ocean. Peaceful. Spent every morning drinking coffee and watching the surfers! The water is so clear you can see yellow tang from the porch! AMAZING… WOW…. You won’t be disappointed!
This condo is extremely well stocked. The comfortable recliners on the lanai and the incredible view make it hard to leave the condo. We enjoyed relaxing on the lanai, watching surfers come and go, listening to the waves crash and watching the sunsets. We listened to the waves crashing all day and night long - so relaxing (no sound machine needed). We did not turn the A/C on once. We’ve stayed at many rentals and this one has it all! Holly was an excellent communicator and responded promptly to any questions. This would definitely be a place we chose if we ever came back. Two small sand beaches right on the property and you are all set. It was a wonderful time enjoying God’s incredible creation!
