Lovely little spot right by the beach- the property owners were incredibly responsive and helpful. They even went so far to give a list of favorite spots near the apartment. It had a clean and comfortable bed and great little layout of the room.

We enjoyed our stay at Heaven. Don is a great host - super responsive and helpful in case of questions. Ideal to explore Venice beach and for biking along the coast line. Efficient location to explore other parts of the city as driving mostly counter traffic in morning/evening. We could almost always park in front of the apartment. Thanks for a nice stay.

The property was very well situated on the boardwalk and had plenty of parking (one of my worries). With a 2 minute walk we were at the beach or boardwalk. Waves, shopping, food, and shopping all within a five minute walk made this a very relaxing trip. I was thrown off at first that there was no AC in a SoCal property but it was nice and cool at night so no issue.

The location is a stones throw to the beach and lots of restaurants. The property is clean and secure and the host is very helpful. Parking isn't an issue once you realize the no parking signs are for RVs and very large vehicles. ALSO, the lack of AC isn't a problem. I'm from the mid-west and when we hear "No AC in July" we usually think what type of humid hellscape have we gone too, HOWEVER, the climate in Venice Beach is very mild and pleasant and this was never an issue for us. I would 100% stay here again if I travel back to the area.

Cool place. Noisy gardeners but great location and fun deck!

This place was perfect for our family ( 9 and 7 year old). The recommendations were super helpful. There is a convenience/wine store located a block away and many great restaurants nearby. It was very quiet at night and the bed was super comfy. We stayed for 5 days, most of the time we were out by the beach or walking/biking along the boardwalk. If we needed to head back to our place, it was a short walk/bike ride to freshen up or change. We were lucky to have booked this place because it's only a minute walk to the beach. Parking was not bad, very easy to find parking up front by the gate in the early morning when we walked to get our coffee. We went to Disneyland for one day, but for the most part stayed in our location. Biking to the Pier/amusement park and trying out new restaurants was fun. My son played basketball with some kids his age, while I watched and relaxed. The kids brought their wetsuits, so they enjoyed jumping in the ocean. I would definitely come back again.

Very comfortable place to stay during our 5 day visit to see our son. Don was great at communicating about good local restaurants and things of interest to do. Loved the top deck. Great place to have a class of wine and take in the views.

The house was great for our 3 person trip. Very easy access to the beach. We purchased overnight parking from the garage on N Venice Dr. which made it very easy to come and go. Would stay again!

It was everything we expected and more! Parking was challenging, but we found a parking garage a block away, so that worked!

Location was everything! We could walk to loads of amazing food options and a little hop and skip away from the boardwalk and beach.

Perfect for bike riding on the strand! Very safe and secure property.

Great location Loved the rooftop deck, beautiful view. Wifi worked well once we rebooted it. Comfy bed with plenty of cozy blankets but needs deep pocket sheets so the corners don’t keep popping off. Plenty of hot water and nice soft, thick towels Donald brought hot cocoa and coffee the 2nd day. Yummy! Space heater was cozy. We were told it limits the number of other appliances you can use at the same time, so we had to unplugged it when using the microwave, hair dryer or convection oven. The unit seemed clean if a little shabby. Be aware that the bathroom has an uneven threshold meaning the bathroom tile is laid on top of the other flooring which makes it stick up about a quarter inch above the rest of the flooring. I caught my toe on it on the second day and was unable to wear shoes for the remainder of our stay. As other guests have said the fan light flickers. I also agree with other guests who have said the outside security lights are very bright and the shade on the window let a good amount of light through even when closed. Also be aware that if you have the blinds up the rolled bamboo fencing doesn’t provide much privacy from the street so we kept the blinds down making it somewhat dreary inside.

This property was perfect and exactly how it was represented in the listing. Steps from the beach, beautiful rooftop patio, and in a wonderfully unique neighborhood. The location was neat, clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable and the was no short supply of linens and towels. A locking gate and 2 locking doors to get in to the unit, I felt very secure. Parking is pretty good for street parking in a big city, never had to park more that a block or 2 away. The host couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating and I hope to return to this listing in the future.

Very clean home with awesome location. Planchas tacos were delicious and most importantly a 1 min walk away. Felt safe walking around at night, and there's a gate for extra level of security. Didn't get to check out the rooftop BBQ but maybe next time I'm in Venice.

My husband, 8 month old daughter and I stayed here for a few days. We didn’t rent a car so location was important for us- this spot didn’t disappoint! Just a block from the beach, two to the canals and walkable to tons of restaurants. Don is an excellent host, very communicative and very very helpful with recommendations. The studio is clean and spacious- it worked for our little family.

Rented this for our 10yr anniversary trip. Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance: the beach, wonderful restaurants and the Venice boardwalk. We were never able to find open parking on the streets around us, but there was a parking garage one block over and we just left our car in there over the weekend for only $24, so it wasn’t an issue. The property was clean and comfortable and the mattress was amazing! There were 2 stand alone fans and and overhead kitchen fan available that made it plenty cool enough for us. At night, we enjoyed a glass of wine on the rooftop and the view was beautiful. We would definitely love to stay here again in the future!

My friend and I decided to have a getaway weekend in Venice Beach. We picked this place because the location was close to the beach and the place itself seemed private and quiet. The place was just big enough for two adults I would say. My friend and I didn’t spend much time in the place because we were usually on the go. The place suited our most basic needs as a place to sleep. It is on the ground level so the windows need to be shut and blinds drawn when you’re not there for security purposes. When we first arrived it was definitely stuffy and didn’t feel very welcoming due to the three fans that were running just to circulate air. Parking was also challenging at times. Sometimes you had to circle the block a few times to find street parking that was relatively close. Besides that, the bed was very comfortable. There was a little kitchen that was stocked if we needed it. The owner was very detailed in his instructions. Easy process to check in and out. Overall, it suited our most basic needs but wouldn’t be a place I would like to spend too much time.

Tidy basic apartment without thermostat (no centralized air system for heat, cool, humidity control), but there were fans which moved air very well. I did not ask for a dehumidifier, though it was humid for me. Flickering lights which weren't fixed but quickly remedied. Walking distance to a grocer, Mexican and Thai restaurants. Abundant distances for beach-area walking, some areas quiet, and some not, with bike rentals available. Venice canals area and the harbor are picturesque. I did not visit the patio. Working vacation, no problems with wi-fi. Did not watch TV. Coffee grinder present (YAY!) with drip (filters available) and French press. No bedroom door to hinder air circulation. Microwave on top of frig, awkward, but no counter space to put it. Bed was comfy. Some outlets did not work. Owner was friendly, helpful. Would stay again. Did not require me to clean and take out trash like so many other places where pay a cleaning fee. I left on a Thursday morning around 9, requested Uber via app which took about 45 minutes to arrive, surprising.

We made last minute plans to head to Venice and we needed a place that would accept our pup. This was the perfect find with a low nightly rate, steps from the beach and accepts pets. Pros - 1. Clean apartment 2. Lots of dishes and glasses 3. Microwave, hot plate, coffee maker, etc 4. Full sized fridge 5. Quiet! The complex is really quiet which was a huge plus for staying at this location. 6. Cool rooftop with lots of comfortable seating 7. Close to bars and restaurants. We never had to drive anywhere. 8. TV with DirectTV in the living room 9. The bed was pretty comfortable 10. Nothing to do with the property but Venice has made a huge improvement in the homeless population. Cons - 1. Parking. This was the biggest issue with the property. There is NO parking. The street out front only has parking on one side and the street is only a block long. I never saw an open space. We had to park about 1/4 mile from the property. This was Labor Day weekend with lots of people in town so maybe the parking isn’t so bad during other times. 2. Because there is no parking we had to pull in front of the property and block one of the lanes to unload our luggage. People driving by were not happy. This is a heavily travelled street as this is where people leave the beach parking lot. 3. There is no air conditioning or heating. There are two large fans and the living room windows open up. It was actually pleasant with the windows open but because of the area you would not want to sleep with the windows open. No air conditioning is not that unusual in CA coastal towns. 4. This has nothing to do with the property but Venice is a really dirty city, quite the opposite of Hermosa or Manhattan Beach. Overall the property was clean and located just steps from the sand. Check in and out was easy.

Location was great but finding parking was tough at times. Often had to pay for beach parking until something was available on the street. The place itself was good with a few minor flaws. The fan light kept flickering, not all the time but still. Also the towel hook in the bathroom kept coming off. The screw behind it wasn’t secure so that’s why. Other than that, the place was nice. Met one of the other tenants and their dog and they were very nice. All in all, considering the location, I would recommend.
