Nice room, nice view, central to activities

We loved getting to see the turtles come to shore. The condo was great but not walking distance to any restaurant etc. However, it is easy to go to each end of the island. Also loved the split rooms since we were two couples staying. The front bed was a little lumpy and the bed was a little hard. Overall great condo and we would stay again.

This condo’s location is great with a balcony overlooking a beautiful area full of whales and turtles. Within walking distance (1/4 mile) to snorkeling and tour boats. Two king beds were great for two couples traveling together. New washer /dryer was also an excellent convenience. Downside is that the secondary bedroom has no drapes or curtains on the frosted jalousie windows. No view from that room and light from parking lot shines in room all night -an issue for light sensitive sleepers. Primary bedroom has great view and balcony but room is quite small and bathroom must be entered from hallway, limiting its privacy. Parking lot is also very tight and is not monitored at night so when our spot was taken we had no place to park except the street. Pool is small with very hot pool deck and no umbrellas for any shade. Teeny adjacent beach area is all rocks so you must travel to a public beach for swimming. If it’s whale watching from balcony you want this is a good spot. But amenities were limited.

Island Sands is centrally located for all things Maui. The condo is the perfect layout for two couples and very well stocked. Recommend renting a car and exploring the island! Hire a driver (tour) for Hana so everyone can enjoy. Uber is also easy from this location and the Four Winds crew from Maalaea Harbor was very professional on our snorkel trip! Tante’s at the harbor is a nice dinner spot. There are several grocery stores within 15 minutes. Keep in mind Maalaea Harbor is the 2nd windiest Harbor in the world, but the wind didn’t hold us back! Haycraft Park (beach) is only 1/4 mile and a great morning walk place. The condo is stocked with beach chairs, umbrellas and towels. Never turned the a/c on in February and slept to the sound of the ocean every night. The lanai was prefect for morning coffee, evening cocktails and whale watching! What a treat! Overall a fantastic stay.

We enjoyed the view from lanai and unit was nice but location is ok had limited amenities near unit. It was quiet and turtles would come onto small sandy area between units but no useable beach on location. Could update bedroom tv and install tv in rear bedroom. Overall enjoyed our stay

This property does have a beautiful view. The “beach access” is about a 20 foot patch of beach surrounded by rock. The swimming pool is too tiny to make up for not being able to relax on the beach. It is a great place to what watch and relax on the lanai.

The condo was clean and well equipped. We enjoyed our stay in it. Great management company - they had thought of everything we might need to have a good stay in the condo. They had left beach equipment, towels, and starter supplies (bathroom, kitchen, and washer)! Our only suggestion would be to change the keylock box - it’s outdated and we had a hard time using it. Perhaps putting a modern electronic lock with codes will work better for a rental.

This is a truly fabulous condo. Everything from the view (which is beyond imagination), to the comfort of the living area. Beds were fantastic, kitchen had everything we needed, very clean and beautiful. Did I mention the views ... PERFECT!

We really enjoyed our stay at Island Sands. The view was great and each morning we were treated to a wonderful sunrise. Listening to the ocean waves lull you to sleep in the front bedroom was peaceful. Green Sea Turtle frequent the waters and beach which you have a full view of from the balcony. The layout of the condo is great for 2 couples. The 2 bedrooms are at opposite ends of the condo so allows for privacy. The kitchen had everything we needed, although is not very well lit. The condo is close to the airport and Kehei, and is super close to the Aquarium and several boating excursion options right in Maalaea. The beach is super small and not a beach for walking on or beach combing. You can bring chairs down to sit at the water’s edge, but not much room. The pool was a great temperature and very refreshing. Several chaise lounges to sit on around the pool area. No umbrellas so depending on where the sun is at, you may or may not have shade. Overall we enjoyed the peace and calm at the Island Sands condo. Great view, nice location.

We are a family of 4 adults at this time. The condo worked perfectly for us. It is modern, clean, convenient to the entire rest of the island and a great view from the linai. We enjoyed out stay and highly recommend the condo. Check-in was easy.

Not only is the condo very well appointed, we loved the location--15-20 minutes to Lahaina, Kehei, and the airport. We were able to see whales and turtles from the lanai! We also really liked having the split A/C units, so we could keep the bedrooms different temps, etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again!

Maalaea is well located for all activities on Maui. We found the condo exactly as described and had everything we needed.

Great space for taking In the amazing coast line sunrise /sunset are spectacular. The kitchen has everything one needs to cook which is good as there are limited restaurants in the area. kihea is a short drive away though.

I can't say enough good things about this place! The double lanai was such a treat and the sea turtles were visible everyday, it was so special. The beds were very comfortable and the whole process was very smooth. Will definitely look to stay at Island Sands on my next vacation to Maui.

Island Sands is in such a great area for access around the Island. The property is extremely nice and very well appointed! We loved watching all the turtles from the balcony…..so sweet! We had a wonderful time and would stay here again!

Nice and quiet location with a great balcony and view

The view of Maalea Bay was great! The apartment’s location is central and convenient- between La Haina and Wailea. Only 15 minutes from the airport. There is no Beach access from the apartment but the beach down the road was very nice. We had an assigned parking which was great. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

This was a great place to stay. It was a great location close to everything. We enjoyed watching the whales from the balcony. We will definitely be back!!!!

Nice condo away from everything yet centrally located. Best beach for us on Maui was right down the street.

Our family loved it for what we were there to for on some race and surf training. Look forward to staying there again.

We had a great stay at this property from Nov 4-14, 2019. We arrived late at night, and walked into a super clean unit. We found everything very comfortable, the beds and furniture. We loved having extra equipment to use at the beach- chairs, boogie boards, even pool noodles for snorkeling, coolers and a sand bucket! The kitchen was also well stocked with things needed for preparing meals at home, and most important, a coffee maker for making coffee with local beans! WE also loved sitting outside, having a snack while watching the turtles feed on the rocks in the water and sunrises over Haleakala. This unit is also very central for driving to different areas/ touring around the island. If we come back to Maui, we would love to stay at this property again. Mahalo!

We had a Super time! This was the second time on this unit and we loved it! Our favorite is watching the sunrise over Haleakala each morning from the balcony. So many memories. IGoMaui was great to work with. Check In was easy and they contacted us right away, giving us a contact in case of any needs. The Office also helps as a concierge to book any fun day trips. The condo is spacious, open and airy and very comfortable. Can’t wait to come back!

Everything was great with our stay. The trade winds here were a blessing in helping to keep the place comfortable. The only thing disappointing was that the two large stovetop burners were broken and we weren’t made aware of this prior to our stay. We did a lot of cooking and this was a little inconvenient. Otherwise we had a great experience.
