Our stay was wonderful. The house couldn't be more comfortable as the hosts seem to have thought of every way to maximize the use and comfort of the house, and the lake experience. The view is terrific, the dock totally great, and swimming & kayaking was enjoyed by all. I highly recomend a week here!

Everything about the property is spectacular- indoor and outdoor spaces. We enjoyed watching beautiful birds flying around. We even saw a Bald Eagle. I can not recommend this property enough! Thank you for sharing your incredible home!

Absolutely beautiful house with breathtaking views of the lake. House has everything you could ask for and more. The owners truly thought of everything. 👍👏🏼 Located 50 minutes from the airport. Roughly $65.00-$70.00 from Charlotte International using Lyft/uber. No issues getting there and back. Grocery Shopping within 7 min drive. Tons of fun toys for all to enjoy on the dock. Paddle boards/kayaks/fishing equipment for all to enjoy. Downstairs game room also packed with fun toys/games to enjoy. Enjoyed large fire pit outside making s'mores and telling stories. Marina 5 minutes away where you can rent Pantoon/fishing boat. We spent 1 day on the water on the Pantoon boat. Everyone enjoyed. Copper penny bar and grill was short 5 mile boat ride. Great food, drinks and atmosphere.. We will definitely be returning!!! Thanks again for sharing your home with us. 😁

Several visiting family members stayed at this gorgeous property. The house was very well-stocked and clean. There were so many fun features including the outdoor fire pit, the bunk room for the kids, and the front porch with rocking chairs. My family had a wonderful visit!

The property was everything it was advertised to be. Very clean and in great condition. Lovely lake view and we really loved the screened porch with fireplace and outstanding view. The dock was great for fishing, swimming and kayaking.

This house had it all. Between the gorgeous views, kitchen supplies & the entertainment room. It’s a must!!! Plenty of space for everyone. Loved it

Our family of 6 had a very relaxing and enjoyable week at the fantastic home on Lake Hickory. Diane was extremely proactive in all of her communications and very responsive to any questions. We love the lake life and this property was a great fit for our family. A lot of room in their home, very well stocked and furnished and a wonderful location on the lake. Only 15 min from the Lakeside Marina, which also made it very convenient. We would strongly recommend this home for your family vacation.

The owners provided so many extras that made our stay that much more enjoyable. The dock and swimming area is very private and deep. Wow, where to begin! We could not have been more pleased with Hickory Cove, and would give it 10 stars if we could! Diane was an excellent host and very attentive. The house was fully stocked and has everything you could possibly need. The screened in porch upstairs was a great hang out spot for breakfast or just to sit outside to hear / watch the lake. The foosball table and arcade game in the basement were great for the kids (we had a 5, 7, and 13 year old kids in our party) and there was plenty to do for everyone! The boat house was a whole oasis by itself, with a small refrigerator for bait, drinks, etc. We spent several of the days down at the dock. The paved path from the house to the boat house is not for the faint of heart. It’s very steep and you get a great workout in walking up and down that hill. My family rented a GAS golf cart (electric might not make it up the hill) for the week, and that was very helpful getting to the dock and back. We rented a boat for the day and there’s a spot to tie the boat up at the boathouse. The lake was a great temperature and is located on a small cove which allows for private swimming. Hickory is a great little town with food and grocery options just 5-10 mins from the house. We will no doubt be back, and can’t wait to rent this house again!

Instructions were conveniently located in numerous places so we could self sufficiently enjoy all the amenities. The little boathouse area on the dock is awesome - fridge, coffee maker, comfortable seating, fishing gear, kayaks - it wasn't a loading zone, but a destination on the property. We spent almost a whole day down there. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the stocked cupboards kept us from running to the store for the odds and ends we forgot to pack. We felt welcomed and relaxed. I highly recommend this diamond on the cove!

This stay was amazing!! First, the property was the best stocked place I've ever stayed. Nothing is worse than getting somewhere and realizing the place doesn't have a wine opener or a baking sheet. This home had everything we needed to eat, clean, lounge, etc. It was extremely clean, I almost hated to put my stuff down. Rooms were as described and plenty of space. The neighborhood is 5-10 minutes from the grocery store, but feels like you're out in the country. The view was incredible, even with our January stay we could enjoy the view from the porch with the fireplace on. Hosts immediately responded to all our questions and made us feel very welcome. They even provided a smore kit! Would recommend to anyone needing a place to stay in the area!!
