We had a lovely stay at this apartment in the Dorsoduro section of Venice. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The Spirito Santo vaporetto stop is basically at the front door and the busier Zattere stop is a 5 minute walk away, making all of Venice very accessible. The beds and furnishing were nice and having an elevator was a big plus in getting luggage to the third floor. Giorgio, the owner, was responsive throughout the process, met us when we arrived, and checked in by email during our stay to make sure that everything was OK. The internet was fast with adequate coverage. We highly recommend this apartment, especially if you can get the one that includes the rooms that front the Zattere and the Giudecca Canal.

Charming, comfortable, & quiet. It was perfect for 6 people. It was at the back of the building but the balconies off the kitchen & one of the bedrooms had water views. The apartment in the front of the building which is directly on the water is good for 4 people, or both apartments can be connected for larger groups - up to 10 people. The apartment is directly next to the Santo Spirito water bus/water taxi stop so getting luggage from the taxi into the apartment is very easy & convenient. Giorgio met us & spent an amazing amount of time with us explaining about the apartment, giving us tips about restaurants & explaining the water bus & water taxi system. He was very dedicated to making our stay comfortable. It is his childhood family home & he manages it with love & respect & wants his guests to enjoy the house & location as much as he does. It was a lovely experience. We would definitely stay in his apartment again.

Five family members spent four days at Georgio's terraces apartment not long ago. While the weather didn't cooperate -- it was cold, wet, and even snowing during our stay -- the apartment made for an excellent place to stay. We later learned that ours was actually one of two apartments that can be connected together in various (and, admittedly, ingenious) ways to adjust the occupancy across both individual units. One could even rent both units and sleep something like nine or more people. The unit is well-stocked and close to a grocery store. Due to the inclement weather, we ended up cooking more meals in the unit than we originally planned. The kitchen includes newer appliances, including a dishwasher, clothes washer and dryer, and microwave, all of which we used during our stay. The elevator made getting the luggage up to the third floor quite easy. It also assisted greatly in getting my grandfather to that high floor, as he was having some troubles climbing the stairs. Above and beyond just the unit itself, we found Georgio's wealth of information and willingness to share an unexpected benefit. Georgio spent over an hour with us when we checked in, going over the unit, explaining the nearby sights that we wouldn't have otherwise known, and talking a bit about the culture and history of the building and area. He was an excellent tour guide, and even stocked the unit with all manner of information, guide books, local suggestions, and other touches that really personalized the experience. Georgio was also helpful in getting us to the unit, around the city, and to the cruise ship terminal at the end of our stay. He was quite responsive to all our requests, and made himself available via phone or text message for plenty of questions. Much appreciated! We're happy to say that we'd join Georgio again on our next visit to Venice.

The location was perfect, within walking distance of Piazza San Marco, yet out of the touristy district. There were plenty of restaurants around, easy access to the vaparetto, and a supermarket just down the canal. The accommodations were wonderful; the elevator was key for one in our group who was having back trouble. Giorgio was the best host we've ever encountered, willing to work with us in every aspect of our Venetian experience, from recommending eating places to getting us an extra set of keys, and even printing some personal legal papers and faxing them home. We will be back.

Description inaccurate and misleading. No terraces. Narrow wooden balconies, no sitting area, with one limited view of secondary canal. Showers DRIPPED water - no flow and NO hot water. Described as wheelchair accessible - yes, there was an elevator, but ALL three bedrooms were only available by climbing up narrow, circular stairs or DOWN a flight of six steps with the bathroom for that bedroom on the main floor. This for a woman in a wheelchair. Woman who greeted us spoke no English , and limited Italian. Could not offer help before, during or departing apartment. Owner of the property hurriedly instructed use of appliances and directions to local stores and was not present at our leaving. Planning a trip to Amsterdam and Paris in the Spring. Will not be looking at your website for apartments. Very disappointed.

The tangibles: The location is excellent--20 metres from the vaperretto stop which is one stop away from St. Marks. Easy walk to Accademia and Peggy Guggenheim Museum (for us, the best art in Venice).Many good restaurants nearby. Supermart a 10 minute walk.The facilities and rooms are all first rate.Beds are comfortable and bathrooms fully equipped,; clean and spacious.Kitchen is also fully equipped and everything works well. The kitchen terrace was our favorite spot for relaxing and water traffic watching. WiFi works superbly. The intangibles: Giorgio, our host, was incredibly helpful and accommodating. We had my wife and our 2 daughters and one of our sons (all adults) and Giorgio helped us through some unfortunate times when my wife fell and broke her leg. He is a complete gentleman and the ideal landlord. If one is looking for a 3 BR, 3 bath place, I cannot imagine anything to surpass it.

Our stay was great, location was perfect. The apartment was lovely and full of charm, very spacious for our needs and our teenagers loved the fast internet. Giorgio was always available via email to answer any questions pre arrival or while we were in Venice. Highly recommended!!

The listing description was quite good but it said that it was suitable for elderly people. This was not quite correct as it was on three floors which could be difficult for some older people. It was good for us as, although I am 83, I can still climb stairs. The position was great as it was right beside the boat stop, which was wonderful for getting off and on. The three day pass was a great advantage,as suggested by Georgio. The property was clean and very beautiful, in an Italian style. Georgio was there to meet us and show us round. He told us about things we shouldn't miss and the whereabouts of the supermarket etc. I would certainly recommend this property to my friends and relatives. We found two great restaurants nearby, La Piscina, which was a short walk along the canal, and Messner, behind the apartment. I would recommend both these restaurants.

The owner was fabulous to work with, the apartment was wonderful and the location was perfect! The accommodations had everything we needed and is close to great resturants and a grocery store.

This was a fabulous place to stay, we had part of the apt, the 3 BR & 3 baths with 3 terraces. There were 5 of us, 4 shared 2 BR's & 1 had a BR to themselves, the 3 baths were well used & much appreciated. We lived on the kitchen terrace, relaxed, ate dinner & breakfast there & had wine & relaxed, watched huge ocean liners pass by & many smaller boats, was very nice & relaxing. I thought the best part was that I felt like I belonged, that I lived there, if only for 4 days. It had an elevator which was handy, the location was perfect, right by a water taxi stop & other boat stops, had restaurants nearby & was a good walk to the rest of Venice. We enjoyed walking tours, explored on our own, took a taxi to Murano & spent "big bucks", also saw Burano. We saw most of Venice, the big things, Doges Palace, St Mark's, etc, treated ourselves to a gondola ride one night, this was well worth it, even if it was "touristy", we totally enjoyed ourselves & brought our own Prosecco to enjoy. It was an hour ride which is good, just long enough. We also took the Doge's Palace tour ( do the skip the line tours - well worth it ) & went up on the top part where you had a great view even if it was a bit scary due to heights, took the jail tour which was great & interesting. You have to have "Aperol spritzer's" at any local outdoor place, also go over the "bridge of sighs" & hear the story. I went to Rome & Florence after this & would have spent more time in Venice if I had a choice, definitely want to return & would stay at this apt in a "heartbeat", it was great & well worth it. An ideal location, inviting views, ideal location, 5 steps to Vaporetto, architect and art lovers' delight. Giorgio is a constant source of outstanding restaurants, chic shops, hidden treasures of Venice. My husband, college-age granddaughter and I were enthralled! We plan to return with more friends, colleagues and family as there are more bedrooms and spaces that we wished we could use!!

This apartment was a wonderful jewel. Photos on-line completely describe the apartment. Very conveniently located in a lovely location, easy and enjoyable walk over to S. Mark's area. Terraces are fabulous. Wonderful location to unwind and enjoy.

The owner Giorgio was wonderful waiting for our water taxi to arrive and helping us to get into the apartment. Also helped us with our questions about Venice. The day we left he called the water taxi for us and helped us leave the apartment. We enjoyed staying at Zattere Luxury Terraces Apartment. When I booked this apartment, I liked each couple had their own bedroom and washroom. Every morning we would have breakfast on the kitchen terrace and enjoy the view. It was nice to live with the Venetians, shopping at their markets, walking around and the delicious food at all the restaurants.

My husband and I rented the Terrace Apartment which has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms from May 1, 2014 thru May 29, 2014. We had a different group of people visit each week for the first 3 weeks. We were by ourselves the last week. We cooked breakfast everyday while staying there. We even cooked some evening meals and everything was wonderful. We cannot say enough about how wonderful Giorgio was. He was very helpful and answered all our questions. He also recommended a wonderful lady to take us on a tour of Venice. If you ever rent this apartment, please ask Giorgio for Antonella's name. Giorgio also rents the front part of the apartment which has 2 bedrooms. My husband and I will probably rent the front unit the next time we visit Venice. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this unit and owner as an 11.

It has been our 3rd visit and I feel like a regular,having stayed in the appartment for over more than 2 months in total.Great place and Giorgio is always available in case of queries.I should not repeat my previous very positive reviews on this appartment,but the fact that I will return is self-explanatory.

Seven of us shared this apartment for four nights and five days and enjoyed the apartment thoroughly. It is clean, up-to-date and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped, with a dishwasher, refrigerator, range top, microwave and even a clothes washer (with a dryer outside off the balcony). The rooms were very Venetian in decor, but confortable. This area has fewer tourists and is quiet at all times. The elevator access was critical for one of us who needs to use a wheelchair. Giorgio, our host, was the consummate gentleman, who met us at the waterbus stop just 40 meters from the apartment entrance. We ate in for breakfast and some dinners and thoroughly enjoyed the place. Having three full bathrooms was a huge help with this many people. We would definitely stay here again.

We just came back from having spent 5 days in Venice and this lovely 3 bedroom apartment. This is the kind of place that gives one an authentic feel for what living in Venice is like. It is a bright, modern apartment that is perfectly located in Dorsoduro. Close to everything. Literally 10 feet from the Spirito Sancto vaporetto stop, right on the main cruise ship canal. The apartment is accessible by elevator, which is a rarity in Venice. And meticulously maintained by the owner, Giorgio and his family. He was tremendously helpful in recommending restaurants, in helping us reserve a water taxi to the airport, and in giving us helpful hints on how to navigate this unique city. We had a group of 6 staying at the apartment, and another 4 people staying in a pensione nearby. We were able to prepare a family dinner for the whole group in the apartment, and had several nights where we socialized. It was very spacious and comfortable for all of us and our activities. I recommend this property very highly to anyone who wants to have a memorable family experience.
