Can’t say enough good things about this wonderful home! Perfect is the only word that comes to mind. We have stayed in Waynesville on our anniversary for years and will definitely choose to stay at this place in the years to come! Peg is wonderful and will answer any questions you have:) can’t wait until our next visit!

The description of the rental was on point. Loved it. No smells and was like new. The mountain stream was nice even though it was too cold outside to enjoy sitting on the porch. Hope to visit again.

Wonderful place

We did a short 2-night visit to see the Biltmore during Christmas. Really wished I booked their place for a few more nights. First and most importantly we would like to thank Ms. Peg for the ability to bring our puppies with us, they are family and mean everything to us. To rent such a wonderful place which is pet friendly was amazing. Everything from the furnishings to the property was whimsical and amazing. I have rented places in the NC mountains high up with great views; however, this place was amazing, and I preferred much more due to the location and ease of access compared to steep incline, goose bump driveways. I will be returning to rent this place several times as long as they hopefully have it listed to do so. Almost not wanting to leave such a great review out of jealously someone may have this place other than me! We look extremely forward to returning and exploring more of Waynesville and the Ashville area, to include Cherokee which I heard is not too far from this wonderful place. Thank you again Ms. Peg we will be seeing you very soon again. This place deserves 10 stars not 5.

Our 4 night stay was perfect. The house was very clean, very cozy, and very nicely decorated. The stream that runs along behind the house is beautiful. This will be our spot for future visits to the mountains.

We had a very nice holiday staying at the “Guest House” for Christmas. When we booked the cabin, we were excited and expecting a white Christmas, unfortunately that was not the case. However, we had three very nice days which allowed for two amazing trips to play golf at Springdale golf course and The Grove Park Inn golf course. A trip to the dog park in Waynesville (area seemed a bit iffy), and a wonderful day of walking around downtown Asheville. Tried Mountain Madre for a late lunch and it was excellent. Other days, rain or shine, were spent playing games, watching movies and watching the creek that runs directly behind the home. So beautiful to see and listen to. If you’re a light sleeper, you need not worry, you can’t hear the creek unless the door is open. Cell service is pretty much nonexistent in the valley of a mountain, but the owners have a WiFi booster, so you can switch to WiFi calling. Be sure to download or printout the details of your stay as you will not be able to look up the details without service. Had to drive a few miles away to get the code to enter the home. After that, everything was perfect. The host left a card addressed to us with a little welcome gift. So charming. The house was decorated for the holidays and every room had little bowls of chocolates for us to enjoy. We brought a ton of food stuffs as we planned on staying in a lot, the home is FULLY equipped with practically everything and anything that we needed.

The Guest House accommodations were perfect. Beautifully decorated, upscale, very cozy, and the cleanliness was off the charts. Forget the salt, pepper, coffee and filters… your hosts have everything covered, and so much more ! We enjoyed our stay and the hosts, Peg and Bruce, were easy to reach, friendly, and very helpful. This is a grand location close to Maggie Valley and Cherokee with a babbling creek right outside your back door. It was magical ! We stayed 7 nights and have already booked our return. Note to Hosts: The huge shower was gorgeous, but I wanted to thank you for keeping the DEEP bathtub/shower combination in the second full bathroom. It made for a heavenly “super soak”. The entire week was luxurious indeed !

This property had everything we wanted/needed for our mini retreat before the craziness and demands begin with the upcoming holidays. From our Downtown adventure to Day Trip to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge, we couldn’t have asked for a better location & properly - listening to the running brook added to our serenity. Looking forward to many more trips in the future.

Very nice relaxing cabin that is centrally located. The creek and back porch was amazing! The beds were soft (a little too soft for me, but comfortable). There is one bathroom that doesn’t have a renovated shower/tub. That’s the only thing I didn’t realize with online booking, but other bathroom has a nice shower. Thanks

We loved our stay in this cabin and would definitely go back again. The home is very well appointed, kitchen had everything needed for lovely meal preparation, bed was comfortable and the porch overlooking the creek was absolutely delightful to sit and relax. The owners provided paper products, spices, laundry supplies and were responsive when we had a question or two. They even left a lovely bottle of wine and hand written note welcoming us. It truly was a place to unwind and relax especially enjoying the fire pit by the creek (a night of s’mores!) and a fire in the fireplace in the evening. Getting to the cabin was very easy and the road is right off the main road through Waynesville. You feel remote and secluded at the cabin, yet are just 10 min from shopping and restaurants in Waynesville, 30 min to Asheville and 15 min to Maggie Valley. It was very peaceful and with the window open, we could listen to the babbling waters of the creek while falling asleep (no need to pack a sound machine!). Highly recommend this cabin for a relaxing time away and ability to shop and eat out as desired. Thank you Peg and Bruce for a lovely vacation!

The pictures don’t do it justice. The place was absolutely beautiful. My favorite part was sitting by the little creek right when it was turning dark watching the fireflies. Owners super nice. Had everything we needed. Beds were so comfortable after a long day of hiking. Hope to go back one day.

This is a relaxing place to stay, and the owner has taken much time to meet all the needs of visitors. The stream was wonderful! We sat on the porch and just watched and listened to it for hours. The house was clean and had all we needed. Thank you so much!

This awesome VRBO has all the amenities you need which is great when you arrive. I overpacked as usual not knowing how wonderful the kitchen is stocked with most everything you need. We enjoyed the awesome deck which was pet friendly with gates on each side. My puppy is used to running around outside unleashed at home because we’re fenced in over an acre. He doesn’t like to be leashed too much but he stays right by my side. The one thing I would mention is there is a busy road in front of the home if u bring your pups. There is a hill/berm in front that keeps this property semi private from the road. The people drive on that road fast. 😮 The creek was the most amazing spot to relax listening to the water! We saw fireflies, wow! and all kind of nature under the owners bird feeder. Wild turkeys, ground hog/ beaver? never was sure what it was. Lol If u have AT&T phone service it doesn’t work well at this cabin. I loved my phone not ringing! Wished we could have stayed longer but it was booked up which tells you the host is great! We hope to come back and stay longer! Thank you for sharing your paradise!

The guesthouse was beautiful,.the Creek running behind the house was so beautiful and peaceful,spent most of our time on the large porch listening to the music of the creek and the songs of the beautiful birds singing.we really enjoyed the guesthouse and if you are looking for a peaceful place with beautiful scenery and still close to everything this is the best!!!! Thank you Peg for sharing it with us…we will be back!!!

We could not have been happier with our stay. The guest house was very comfortable and the location can't be beat. The location was very convenient for going into town, and heading out for day trips and hikes along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Sitting on the screen porch along side the creek was so relaxing.

This was our second visit to the Guest House. It was peaceful (loved the sound of the creek) and the house was clean, comfortable, and in order. We had a lovely dinner at Sweet Onion (highly recommend it) to celebrate our anniversary. We will definitely return.

This was the sweetest little place to stay for our honeymoon. It was a roomy, quiet, relaxing space with a fabulous porch. We took our dog with us and he really enjoyed staring (and barking) at the lovely little creek. It was close enough to be convenient for Asheville visits, but far enough out to see all the stars. They had the best little kitchen. When we come back, we're bringing our telescope with us!

Great location we love a mountain stream and afire pit beside it a little music some adult beverage don’t get any better we would like to come back in a few months for a short stay

I could write a couple chapters about this property. Great location with privacy. Super clean. Even the smallest amenities were there..We may have just found our go to place in the mountains. 5 out of 5 stars is accurate but I give it 10 out of 10

The Guest House was the perfect vacation rental for us. It was everything we hoped for. Convenient to everything. Met all of our expectations. Very private. This vacation home was in a convenient location and had all of the amenities of home….and then some! Enjoyed every evening with a wood burning fire. Home is in a beautiful location next to a rushing stream. Will definitely come back🙂

Felt like a King.

Our weekend trip was cut short by a day due to Hurricane Ian. Which was a total bummer when we saw how adorable the house and setting was, with the stone fireplace inside and the babbling creek outside! Kitchen was well-stocked and we were greeted by a personal note and a bottle of wine. Such a nice, personal touch. Peg was so responsive and helpful! We will be coming back to the Guest House!

The property owners thought of everything! The home is stunning, and the creek is right outside the back door. We could hear the water rushing from the bedrooms and the living room. It was by far the most relaxing vacation my family and I have been on in a long time. Plus, Soco Falls it just a short drive from the house. 💙

Very clean, nicely appointed, friendly and responsive owner, great electronics, and a wonderful deck overlooking the creek. Sit down and be so relaxed youcould nap all day. Nicely located for all needs.

Excellent experience in every way. Really appreciated the “little things”. Top quality bed linens, kitchen appliances, funny coasters, quality cutlery, candies. Cleanliness is exceptional, setting is peaceful and quiet, we have stayed in vrbo places all over the mountains and this one is everything and more than its description.

this property is at the top of all the places we have stayed. Clean, comfortable and plenty of room two couples . This is a first class home equipped with top of the line kitchen utensils. Bruce and Peg were wonderful. You get the full mountain experience complete with the sounds of a beautiful stream in the back.and it is only 10 minutes from town. [shopping and groceries]. we stayed a month and were sad to leave.

Wow did we enjoy our stay at the Guest House - my only regret is that I didn't book a longer stay. But we will be back!! The house is beautiful and very clean. The deck that overlooks the creek is large, with plenty of spaces for everyone to hang out. The mountain provides privacy. The sound of the creek is so relaxing. We loved the town of Waynesville and the surrounding area! The owners are helpful and quick to respond. Thank you for a wonderful stay! We will be back!
