House is laid out interesting with a lot of bunk beds flys are terrible with the turf in the backyard trapping water

We take a week every year and come to Mission Beach with our entire family for Thanksgiving. This year we had 14 so this house was about our only option. I’ll rent 2 houses next time. This place was….ok but was in terrible disrepair, drywall had holes, rust on all the windows, not sure why but there was a broken dryer in the garage so there was that. I pretty much didn’t sit on any of the couches the entire week, the “pool table” was a joke, holes in the felt and I’m pretty sure there was only 1 cue that wasn’t broken. The first time I walked across the floor, my feet were black, the front area (outside) was dirty, they have fake grass that had holes and piles of sand, weeds where there should have been flowers, no propane tank under the rusted out BBQ, the outside corner lounge couch was pretty gross. If I hadn’t spent 13k for the week I wouldn’t have cared so much but I had expected a much nicer. We will be back next year and many more to come but have definitely crossed this place off our list. I’d move on if you’re weighing this place vs another.

We had a good time here. We loved how close it was to the beach but we were surprised at the overall state of the property. The rooms and bathrooms and kitchen were all fine. But there were flies everywhere. Not sure if all SD properties are like this, but I definitely was not expecting it. There was also no AC, so they provided box fans that were pretty old, dusty, and gross. One of the fans had a bad cable so it shorted out and create a terrible smell. I wish we were able to check in early and check out late but I understand the cleaning process takes a while here. overall it was good, but if I were to come back to this area then I would look for a different location.

Great location and spot for a family reunion!!

Great spot. The dudes enjoyed the patio area, hang out room with pool table, and easy access to beach.

The property was perfect for me and my friends meeting up for a bachelorette party. Location was less than a block from the beach, the outside hang out area was great. The beds were comfortable and overall the property was clean. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because the floors were dirty and there were ants.

Great rental! We rented this house for a bachelorette party with 17 people, and we were able to sleep very comfortably. The kitchens are very well stocked with all the essential kitchenware. Very easy, quick walk to the beach. The hot tub and fire pit were a big hit in the evening. I would definitely recommend this rental to anyone needing a lot of space / beds for their next vacation to Mission Beach. The only downside was that some of the beds were not the most comfortably (specifically the beds in the game room/ pool table room). Also, it would be nice to have more towels, or provide a few Tide Pods for the washing machine to wash towels.
