We were all exhausted and needed quiet beauty. We Found It⭐️

Inside, the house was a very comfortable space for 6 adults. The three bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms allowed for privacy, and the common areas were great for hanging out, eating, and being together. The kitchen was well equipped and well stocked. Outside, the decks and the yard were favorites spots where we played games and enjoyed being right on the lake. We loved being so near to the county and state parks and enjoyed running and hiking without having to drive somewhere. Janet was very responsive and went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything we needed to have a wonderful stay. Our family loved staying here and we would definitely return the next time we visit Door County. Thank you!

We had a girl's weekend at Janet's house. The house was well cleaned before our stay and Janet was great to communicate where to get groceries and some places to try for meals. We used the outdoor firepit and forgot to pick up wood, so appreciated the wood available (convenience comes with a price). My suggestions for improvements are to have a bucket (without holes) near the firepit (it's the way I was taught as a girl scout). We appreciated the options to start the fire as the lighters were all out of fluid so had to pick alternatives. The rooms were spacious and there were plenty of bathrooms for us all to get ready. The location is right next to the state park so we were able to go on some walks and even went to the Dunes at one point. We would definitely stay here again as it's a great retreat but you can still drive to Bailey's Harbor or Egg Harbor easily.

Beautiful spot, even in not so great weather! Well equipped kitchen and plenty of room to hang together or relax solo. Loved our stay!

We’ve visited Door County for many years and have never stayed anywhere as beautiful as this house. From the master bedroom you can fall asleep looking at the moon over the lake, have an outdoor fire over the lake, or sit in the spacious living room with tons of windows. The owner was very nice and communicative. Highly recommend!!

This property was the perfect place for our family getaway. We especially enjoyed the location which was right on the lake, and the beautiful home and open concept kitchen that was great to cook in. Very clean and quiet. We hope to return next year!

The Door at Cave Point could not have afforded a more suitable, impressive, and revitalizing welcome for our family last week. Everything we needed for a perfectly comfortable stay was available to us, allowing us to pursue activities with the knowledge that ‘home base’ was also an alluring haven. We loved seeing jays, cardinals, vibrant red-headed woodpeckers, hummingbirds and seabirds, every day. The proximity to Cave Point park is a very few steps away, which allows for access to the park, and privacy for the guests. The night skies were saturated with brilliant stars, satellites, and meteors, and we all slept to the soothing rhythm of the lake. We were all charmed by the architecture and feel of this gorgeous home, and Janet was extraordinarily sensitive to our needs. It felt as if she was an agent, working on our behalf, to ensure a perfect vacation. After our visit, our family spread back out to our respective homes, from LA to the East Coast, feeling refreshed, reset, and with full hearts.☀️❣️🌿

Our family had an amazing time staying at this beautiful property. It had everything we needed to enjoy ourselves. All the personal touches in the home make it feel both comfortable and unique. Janet and her family were very friendly in terms of helping plan our trip and communicative about check in/check out. We forgot part of our pack and play but Janet was very kind to get in touch as soon as she found it. Then it was very easy to arrange for us to pick it up. Also her property management team were friendly and responsive to our needs. Would definitely stay again !

Great house for many people! Plenty of room for all. Great view of lake. Very clean property. Well stocked with all the essentials. Easy to contact owner/manager. Very good central location to all the sight seeing spots.Whitefish Dunes State park beach just minutes down the road. We would highly recommend this property!

This house was fantastic! We had a girls weekend in DC and were able to hike the park right out the doors of the house. The house was as advertised, great condition and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots & pans and spices so we didn't need to bring much extra than our food which was amazing. And Owner communication was great. We would definitely come back again and recommend this place to others!

This is a stellar property esp if you value each person having their own room and their own bathroom (we were 3 friends, property could work for 3 couples). Cleverly designed with doors on each floor to close off bedrooms from living spaces to minimize noise. Having 2 living rooms is fab (one with a TV, one w fiireplace)fireplace. Firepit on the cliffs by the water was fantastic. Close to Sturgeon Bay, Egg Harbor shops and hiking. The property is literally adjacent to a state park, start hiking from the front door! Tight driveway for multiple cars and water is on a tank, fyi. Highly recommend!!

We all loved this property! Beautiful setting, lovely home. Warm and inviting. Lots of privacy and room to spread out, both inside and outside. Look forward to returning sometime soon. Perfect for two couples, or a family.

We recently spent a long weekend at Janet's house. It is a lovely property bordering a state park right on Lake Michigan. Views are wonderful and the property is very comfortable. Being right next to the state park makes hiking and water access super convenient. Kitchen is probably the best stocked we have encountered in any vacation rental. We did run into one issue but Janet, Ryan, and Holli were all quick to respond and address our concerns. I would highly recommend this property to anyone planning to visit the area.

3 couples, all 60+, thoroughly enjoyed this home. We each had our own comfortable sized beds and bedrooms with private baths. Beautifully decorated. The kitchen is very well stocked with ample dishes, utensils, and pots and pans for all of us who enjoy cooking. The furniture is relatively new and very comfortable. The outdoor seating areas offer an amazing view of Lake Michigan. The decks have some wear on them, but they provided ample seating for 6 of us. The fire bowl deck was an awesome area to enjoy a warm fire, conversations with our friends and listen to the waves of Lake Michigan. This home is located right next to trails and all of us enjoyed hiking or running every day. The location is close enough to the communities in Door County that day trips were easy drives but the location also offers privacy and serenity. This is definitely a place I would return to.

The home is lovely and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped . Everything worked. As advertised, you can walk right into Cave Point and Whitefish parks which was very nice. Generally, pretty convenient to reach other locations . And, Janet was the most solicitous owner I have encountered in some two dozen VRBO rentals.

Loved the house and Janet was wonderful. She texted me when we had arrived to make sure everything was in order. When we needed anything we could text or call. Will stay again!

We had an amazing stay at this wonderful home with spectacular views of Lake Michigan. Our host was great to work with and everything in the house was top notch. We really enjoyed the detailed book put together by her to help us plan our activities throughout the week. Will be returning!

This was a beautiful quality built home. The lake views and access to hiking in the adjacent state park made it so you would not have go anywhere. It was a perfect place to relax with family. The extra doors on the halls to bedrooms made it so people who wanted to retire early would have quiet while people were stalking in the living room.

It was very pleasant stay. Quite but beautiful views of Lake Michigan sunrise! Can hear the waves - very peaceful. Was a little chilly but cozy inside. Comfortable beds and very nice setup for bedrooms and bathrooms available. Very much enjoyed it.

The house perfect for three couples. The owner is very responsive and provided detailed directions on how to use all the facilities and excellent recommendations on things to do in the area.

Fantastic location on the lake and next to the county park. You can watch the sun rise, go for hike, and stay in a modern, fabulous house with lots of great views. Highly recommended!

This was an amazing vacation! Janet is a wonderful host, and was very communicative and helpful accommodating our request for scented product control. The house is even more beautiful than in the pictures and we will definitely want to return sometime in the future.
