Beautiful home and location. My sister is a birder and was excited about the variety of birds in the area.

This home has a beautiful open floorplan, with direct views of the lake from every single room! Our family enjoyed relaxing and grilling on the deck and exploring the home's private rock beach. We walked to the Cana Island Lighthouse each evening. The location of this home is amazing- we couldn't say enough good things! We hope to return soon! Chris was a thorough and helpful host- and very responsive to our questions! We would definitely stay at any of his properties!

We loved staying at this cabin/house. Very quiet and relaxing. Everything we needed in the kitchen and pet friendly. Just the medicine we needed so that we could rest.

The location in off season being so close to Canna Island was just what we were looking for.

We booked a last-minute getaway for Easter weekend. The location of this property is amazing, surrounded by forest and next to Lake Michigan on the “quiet side” of the Door. Although we were here in March and this didn’t spend any time sitting outside, the deck on the lake side and the fire pit and seating areas at the back of the house looked awesome. Great kitchen, plenty of room at the dining table, ample and comfy seating in the living room, and the beds were mostly comfortable (although the master bed could use a new mattress, as the current one has a downward slope from the middle to the side). Overall, we had a great stay!

Home is beautiful and nicely decorated. Kitchen is well stocked with all the dishes you might need for cooking. The surrounding woods are gorgeous and such a nice walk! We were disappointed by the emptiness of the house (towels although we were warned about this) only one game and one book, no paper towels. Trash can was empty (no liner) although the owner told me where to find them.

We enjoyed the quiet property and fall colors. Favorite activities included bike riding on Sunset Trail and making s’mores around beachside fire pit. Kitchen is open and welcoming for family meals and after dinner games. We loved the fall colors and cool weather, two pleasures we don’t have much of in our South Carolina home.

This is a lovely home, surrounded by beautiful trees. The lake is across a roadway, but since we were there in mid October, it is not a busy road. The home is updated, and in good condition. There are two separate 3 season porches, one off 2 nearby bedrooms and one off the dining room. It’s a nice feature to have these two separate spaces. The location in Baileys Harbor is much quieter than in all the towns on the western side of Door County. We really appreciated that, and most things were only 10 to 20 minutes away. There is a number lock on the front door, but it must not be operable, as the door was unlocked with keys available when we arrived, and we had to leave the house unlocked when we departed. I would prefer not to arrive or depart an unlocked house, for safety and security purposes. Since the house is quite private and somewhat remote, it would be nice to have some sort of blind or curtains on the first floor windows for security. There are curtains in the living room, two main floor, bedrooms, and bathroom. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, have already recommended this house to friends, and will look for it again if we venture to Door County!

Absolutely wonderful accommodations and picturesque environment! Beautiful and secluded location with gracious host. We were looking for a location on the bay side of Door country for the sunsets but never regretted our choice as the moon and sun rises on Lake Michigan side gave us plenty of remarkable pictures in a more secluded stay! We'll definitely look forward to renting this location again!

Great week up in Door County. Very clean house. We enjoyed walking to the lighthouse every morning and another walk after exploring during the day. Had two very good meals in Baileys Harbor, would go there again. Centrally located to Sisters Bay, Ephraim and Fish Creek. Saw deer in the back yard on several occasions. Only thing I would suggest bringing is washcloths for kitchen, that was not provided. Wish there were some games, movies or books to choose from but will remember to bring my own next time. Only complaint was banging noise from furnace and water softener woke us up a couple of nights. Wish we would have used kayaks but it was chilly during our stay. All in all a very nice stay. I would recommend.

This home is great for 6 to 8 people. Wonderful to have 3 bathrooms. Having walk in showers is perfect for us all.(note: wish the upstairs toilet was taller.) Loved the kitchen and great room too. It was nice to have more than one TV. If the weather had been better we would have enjoyed the deck and screened porch for socializing.

House is welcoming. Spacious and yet cozy! We had a “great” family bonding in the living room and in the dinning table. The kitchen is well equipped. I took my brother and his 3 kids salmon fishing at Bailey harbor, they had a blast! I love that the 3 bedrooms have their own bathroom. We adults (4) enjoyed our visit to Cana island lighthouse. It’s a short walk from the house. The kids used the kayaks for hours, we got worried & check on them but they are having a great time at the lake. The house is relaxing that we took a lot of naps after our activities. Chris responded quickly to my questions. Thank you!

Beautiful property with water view. Quiet road to walk on and lighthouse tour just down the road. Definitely would stay again! Mattresses are very firm.

The property was lovely and met our needs beautifully. We were a family of Grandma, Grandpa, two adult daughters, one 7year old granddaughter and a significant other! Access to the water was easy which was important to all if us. Two brought their own kayaks and enjoyed the ease of entering the bay.

We loved everything about the house. The kitchen is amazing and had everything we needed. It was very clean upon our arrival and the check in process was great. Even got to meet Chris, great guy! You can tell they take pride in this house plus we could park our car in the garage which a lot of rentals don’t allow so this was a plus. The house had two porches which we enjoyed at night. We were also able to bring our 2 dogs with. We were very happy with our stay and would definitely rent this house again.

Beautiful home with great views & location! We had a great time with family! Just a few things we wish were different. The picture of one of the bedrooms on the first floor showed no footboard. Had planned to have my very tall son & his wife in that room-only to find all the beds have footboards. They slept in the loft where his feet fit between the footboard rails. They made it work. The kayaks are a nice addition but the water level was so low we were unable to launch from the property & were not supposed to move them elsewhere. The road in front of the property is very busy during the day with traffic to the lighthouse & some cars went well over the 25mph speed limit. During our stay the gravel road was paved (lots of noise & asphalt smells (not the owner fault) as was the water level. Deck has lots of peeling paint but was spacious & has nice furniture. Kitchen is well equipped.

This was the perfect place to stay for our first trip to Door County. The house was cozy, yet modern. The floor plan is perfectly split between the quiet side for sleeping and the kitchen and dining at the other end for late night snacking and puzzle building on the large sprawling dining room table. The view was idyllic from every window. The location was a convenient starting point for our daily adventures to lighthouses and different places of interest. We would definitely stay there again.

Our family loved our stay here. It was a peaceful location with gorgeous views. We especially loved having the kayaks available for our afternoon paddles!
