The property is located right in the beach and walking distance to many amenities. The property is exactly as shown on photos. Simona, property manager and Lorraine, housekeeper, always available to answer queries. We truly enjoyed our stay. The only suggestion I would make is the installation of a ceiling fan on the terrace as it can get real warm with the afternoon sun. Thanks

Everything that you would need is in this condo unit. Great location great beach front great patio. The beds were very comfortable the bathrooms were very nice great rain shower head. We intend on coming back and staying in this unit. Wish we could’ve stayed longer. But now we found our new spot on a great island. We could not be more thrilled with the location. We spent much less time in the car than other years. Do everything that we needed was a short trip instead of a long trip.

This place is absolutely perfect! If you have any hesitation, don't. The view, the terrace, the location, the comfort and usability of the space, and the bed- so, so, so comfortable. You can also walk straight down a staircase directly from your terrace to the beach. We walked to restaurants most days and felt safe doing so, but we also had a rental car to see the island. You have a designated parking spot in a gated space, if safety is a concern for you. Absolutely loved our stay and communication with the owner was awesome!

I spend most of the time outside on the deck starting with my morning tea and ending watching the sunset. It was very conveniently located to Mary's Boon and Karakter beach bars. I only had to drive occasionally during my stay there.When I return, I will definitely stay there again.

Rented the attached two bedroom and 3 bedroom villas together for a group of 8. Had a wonderful time. Even better in person than in pictures. Simona was easy to communicate with and always available to help. Property was secure with everything provided that one might need. Will stay again!

It was my first time in St. Maarten and we couldn't have been happier with the island and the property. There was plenty of room and things to do for my travel party which included my wife , in laws and young children. The outdoor patio was an oasis and worth it alone but the beach was also beautiful and private and my boys enjoyed playing in the sand and water. I’d definitely recommend the property and look forward to returning someday.

We were a group of 14 that rented both the penthouse and the neighboring 2 bedroom unit for 2 weeks; amazing stay in Simpson Bay. The apartments were very spacious and well equipped with everything we needed for our large group. We loved getting up to watch the sunrise right from our lanai and watch the sunset at the same spot. The views are amazing and watching the sailboats and yachts everyday too was fun! Everything was really spectacular and we hope to be able to stay here again!

I hate to write this review because it means the vacation is over. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Le Papillon. The unit is perfect and the little touches provided by Simona are wonderful. The beach is beautiful and almost private. The airport, restaurants and supermarkets are all within 5 minutes. Simona is very responsive and a pleasure to deal with. I couldn’t recommend it more highly!

We have a time share on St. Maarten that was hit hard by the hurricane last year. Told it won't be available for another 2 years but we wanted to come back and support the people on the island now. So we searched VRBO and found this amazing home. Needless to say we will be coming back! So long time share. The 2 bedroom was modern, clean and very spacious. The terrace was my favorite part of the home as the breeze from the ocean was constant and I could sit peacefully in the sun or lounge on the comfy oversized sofas reading a book. So easy to walk down to the beach or the grocery store on the corner or even our favorite beach bars Karakter and The Boon. Simona was a wonderful host and provided many little extras as added perks. Simona, you will be hearing from us soon as we plan our vacation for next year!

Le Papillon was paradise! We enjoyed everything from the beautiful condo to the outstanding beach outside. Our family of four (2 adults & 2 children ages 4 & 9) were very comfortable. St. Maarten is a beautiful island and we picked the perfect place to spend 4 nights there. We will be back again!

We booked this trip and were informed by Ubbo - despite our concerns about the aftermath of Irma_ that everything was perfectly in order. And indeed, the apartment was gorgeous and in pristine condition! In Simpson Bay most of our favorite restaurants were open . Everybody friendly and positive as always. We have been coming to St. Martin for the past 14 years and this time we brought the whole family with us. We rented both the penthouse and the 2 bedroom unit at the same time. These properties were everything that it says it is. Maybe even more. Both units were tastefully designed and very well equipped. There were pantry items, drinks, alcohol, organic lotions, real tea tree hand soap, bug spray, sun tanning spray, q-tips, hair dryers and the list goes on. I never rented a place that would be so well equipped as these two units. Other thing I really appreciated was how clean and new everything was. But my absolute favorite part was the terrace. It has a roof on top so even if it is too hot to be on the beach the terrace is nice and cool. We had our breakfasts and dinners there and it was pretty special. We also loved the location. We walked to the french bakery every morning for fresh pastry and for lunch to one of the beach restaurants. Simona was very kind and helped us with any question we had. It was really everything we could ask for. We would love to do that again!

This was our third time staying at Le Papillon. We have stayed in 1,2,and 3 bedroom units at various times with friends and family. Simona is wonderful to work with! She is easy to reach either by phone or email and she takes care of every little detail. We stayed in the 2 bedroom unit this week and it has all the comforts of home along with some nice surprises. This wasn't our first stay in Le Papillon, but it was the first time in this apartment. We stayed previously in the penthouse, but that was booked for the period of our stay. Simona assured us that we wouldn't be disappointed with this 2-bed apartment. She was right. Previously, this was the other penthouse - a four bed, which has been re-arranged. The top floor has a long let and the third floor a rentable 2 bed. Everything in the apartment was new from the kitchen appliances (all top quality Bosch) to the living room furniture. The living area is large and spacious and very comfortable. We, however didn't spend our time in there - the terrace is very big and beautifully fitted. There is a newly constructed roof over the terrace to shelter you from the hot sun ( and occasional rain), but there is also a small area which is open to the sun and 2 sun loungers. From the terrace you look right onto the beautiful beach with sand of the palest yellow (no rocks in front of Le Papillon) and the ever changing colours of blues and turquoise. There is a private outdoor staircase if you want to come straight up to the apartment from the beach. The 2 bedrooms/bathrooms were large and comfortable with huge beds. The air conditioning was very effective yet quiet and there were ceiling fans as an alternative. There is a small corner shop within a minute's walk, a French patisserie which we visited every morning for fresh pastries and then The Market Garden on the other side of the old bridge for any and everything you might need to eat in. There is also a huge Carrefour on the other side of the new bridge. We didn't rent a car for the most of our stay as everything is close enough - restaurants, pharmacy, bank and as mentioned supermarket. We did have a car for a couple of days to drive around the island and see places we hadn't visited before. We would recommend Tropicana at the lagoon Marina in Marigot - an excellent restaurant. Best to reserve a table as it is always busy. Simona is lovely and always quick to respond to any questions you might have. We would highly recommend this apartment for location, comfort, amenities and the wow factor and hope to return very soon.

"This is truly paradise." .... Le Papillon is an absolutely beautiful place! We went to every beach on the Island and could not be anymore pleased with the Simpson Bay location. Everything you could possibly need within walking distance, all local shops, restaurants and activities in the area. The Island is great for families, people who love turquoise waters and or are looking to be active with the abundance of water and land activities. Our unit coordinator, Simona was very helpful, friendly and very easy to work with. The unit was clean, open, modern and simply perfect. Even better than it shows in the pictures. Such a relaxing space inside and out with all the amenities you could possibly need. All we brought was ourselves and some cloths. Overall Le Papillon is the best place we have ever stayed! We can't stop looking at the pictures and we plan on bringing the whole family next year. The unit and Island was the best vacation by far my husband and I have ever stayed. I celebrated my 40th birthday there with my mom, & cousins. I simply fell in love with St. Maarten as well as the condo penthouse which had 3 different levels this place was nothing less then amazing. Beautiful beach as soon as I returned home I was ready to book again see you in January St. Maarten.... Thank you Simone for this experience at le Pap my new home away from home.

We rented the one bedroom condo for 12 days and everything about our experience was wonderful. It is a 5 minute drive from the airport, Simona met us at the Condo giving us the keys, tour and useful information. She left a cell phone in the unit to use and encouraged us to call her if we need anything, which was a very nice service. The condo is spacious, modern, well decorated and simply gorgeous, we especially enjoyed the balcony sitting area overlooking the amazing Simpson beach. The cleaning lady comes by every second day and there is a washer/dryer in the unit which was extremely handy to have. There is free Wi-Fi in the unit, although it is not as high speed as in Canada, it served our needs and you could also connect from your beach chair. The unit provides numerous beach towels and your chairs are stored directly downstairs from the unit. The beach is really beautiful and very quiet, exactly what you need for a relaxing holiday. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need to dine in on occasion. Everything you need is within walking distance, grocery and convenience stores, banks and restaurants. We walked to the main street and hopped on the bus taking you to Phillipsburg which is must, as it is a very cute town with lots of shopping , restaurants and live music on the beach, the bus fee is only $ 2.00 US per person, which is very reasonable. We also took the bus to Maho (10 minutes) to see the planes land and take off, again, this would be something you have to experience. We also took a catamaran tour from Aqua Mania to visit Prickly Pear and Anguilla, this was an awesome day, open bar, snorkeling, lunch and beach time in Anguilla and the wonderful scenery aboard the boat. We highly recommend this unit , we were very happy there and will definitely be back.
